We were in town this past weekend and decided to give this place a try. Great food, atmosphere and fantastic service with super nice employes. If you are ever in Stanton, this is great place to eat. Down to earth 10/10 definitely recommend! We had the Chicken Philly w/ Pepper & Onions was amazing along with a side of potato salad. We enjoyed the Pecan Pie for dessert.

Went here for breakfast on a Monday morning, had a great experience! Staff was friendly and food was fresh & affordable! I really enjoyed my eggs over medium with toast, and my bf enjoyed his meal as well. Simple interior but very clean and cozy inside! Would come here again!

Had great pinto beans and cheeseburgers for lunch! Topped off with the tasty "pig licking good" cake. I would go again.

We stopped in to Bruen's Restaurant today before going hiking.We ordered biscuits,gravy,sausage and grits.The food was delicious and our waitress was very nice and accommodating.The restaurant has an old country vibe and is very clean.We highly recommended having Breakfast,lunch or dinner there.Rick Mack.

Great food, excellent service. The real deal. Baked spaghetti with Texas toast was delicious. Coming back to try the pie.

This place gets my vote for the most authentic, friendly, country restaurant! I had a Manhattan sandwich, which I'd never heard of before...to this Nebraskan, it looked like a hot beef sandwich...and it was one of the best I've ever had. The fried okra and fried banana peppers were good. They have a dessert called the pretzel salad, the recipe of which apparently is a well kept secret. All I know is it had pretzels, cream cheese, whipped cream, and strawberries in a glaze. Don't miss it if they have it when you are here. Lastly, the price was perhaps the lowest we've paid for lunch on our entire trip!

Stopped by for breakfast. Good food and service! Locally owned restaurants are the best.

Went in a couple weeks back and was greatly disappointed. The waitress was a young "teenage" blonde who does not know how to be a waitress. Food was mediocre this time, and seems that a lot of the older staff no longer works there. Except for one elderly lady who has been there every time we have been there. She was working her tail off trying to wait on tables, serve food, bus the tables, and run the register. She had recently suffered a fall, and you could tell that it was hindering her. This will probably be the last time we visit. Just isn't the same as it used to be.
