Hospitals are very taxing places. This park being located right next to one gives you the chance to decompress, gather yourself, commune with nature, or whatever space you need. Beautiful trail that is paved and fairly level.Bonus! During Nov-Dec the decorate for Christmas with lights and themes. Free, and very well done!

What a fun little pocket park! It's so close to all of the hospitals around Dutchmans Lane and near the St. Matthews area. We visited last week to see the holiday lights that are throughout this park. My kids had a blast. And when we were done taking in each light display, we were all over the playground. It's especially good for slightly older kids (4-7 year olds) IMO, but my fearless 2-year-old also had a blast going down a tall slide. There are bathroom facilities and a covered pavilion. It was clean and well maintained. Plus there is a parking lot with lots of spaces. Considering how close this is to our day care, we will definitely be back, especially when the weather gets a bit warmer!

Wish I could be here for the Christmas special that brown park does for the community. I was very impressed with the Halloween event the kiddos loved it and what a great walking parking and play area for the kids . Thank you for community that goes above and beyond for our families .

I was in the area last week so I decided to stop at a few different parks that were in the proximity of baptist east where I had to visit. So anyway Brown Park has been on my yelp list for couple years now and I never got a chance check it out when I was over at the hospital I saw Playground behind Baptist east so I decide to walk over and check it out. It was Brown Park and I had no idea I was like whoa I'm at Brown Park cool I can walk around take pictures and say I've been here. And that's exactly what I did it had a lot of cool things had a nice little playground for the kids had a nice walking trails for me and just overall really pretty scenery I will tell you what I'll drive a big black truck and the brown park does not enjoy having big parking spots. So that was unfortunate but so is that cool park for sure I enjoyed it I will be back I recommend you do too

Spacious dog-friendly park with plenty of room to walk/jog while maintaining space from other visitors. I spotted multiple types of wildlife including those who inhabit the small body of water that runs through the park. There are sections of the park that allow for catching the sun and also shady sections to dodge the heat. Some of the paths have a small amount of elevation. I highly recommend this park and will visit again soon.

Cute little park. Clean.Next to the hospital.Playground. Clean and well-maintained restrooms.A few paved trails.Lots of spots to sit and enjoy.A stream and a secret cemetery.Lots of waterfowl, lots of folks feeding the fowl. The 4 stars is my rating in a non-pandemic world. But I stopped by for a walk while my car was getting worked on at PepBoys. During the COVID pandemic. I know restrictions are loosening....but it felt like too much. A ton of kids playing on the playground, a lot...I mean A LOT of people all over the park, no one observing social distancing, not only was I the only person I saw *wearing* a mask....I didn't see anyone else even carrying one with them. Not even the folks coming over from the hospital for a break. At one point, I sat down in an empty area. Minutes later a couple families, a total of 8 people, decided that where I was sitting was the PERFECT place for their picnic lunch. No masks, not even leaving 6ft between us....plopped on down right next to me. So I skedaddled on out of there. I needed a restroom, and I can confirm that the bathrooms were fabulously clean, because of pandemic changes. BUT....there was no soap in the dispenser. Thank goodness I have been carrying hand sanitizer with me!This is not the fault of the park...this is the fault of the people at the park. But since the pandemic started, this was the densest amount of people I have seen in one spot. I was very anxious, and I decided not to stick around too long.

Browns Park is a perfect size park, especially for a family with younger children. Their trail is easy to walk, stroller friendly and crosses over a small bridge surrounded by local ducks. All the trees in the park keep the path fairly shaded. The park also has a small play area (not shaded) with a covered area nearby for tables. Random benches and tables are also located in this common area. A small, private parking lot is available. During Halloween season, Browns Park hosts a fantastic trick or treat event and in December Santa and Mrs. Claus comes to visit. Both events are free. Parking during events is trickier - the nearby hospitals offer their parking garages and several people park in the nearby neighborhood.

Brown has easily become my favorite park in the St. Matthews area. It's clean, beautiful, and very large. There's 3 or 4 different trails, some long-ish and some short. There are all kinds of different sights to see, like some creeks, bridges, and a small hidden cemetery off a beaten path. This park is located right next to Baptist East, so if you work there or are already at the facility needing some fresh air, you can walk about 100 feet outside to get to the path. I'm kinda jealous I don't live in one of the apartments nearby, I'd probably walk here just about every day!

A nice park, right in the middle of St. Matthews. I walk here frequently, during all seasons. It has been a nice place to get exercise and fresh air during COVID. I really appreciate the Christmas lights that are put up every year. Adds some cheer during difficult times. This park is wheelchair accessible, has a playground, as well as walking/running trails.

It's not bad it's not great, better for older kids because the playground can be scary for little ones. Little girl almost fell, multiple times . Ducks are good. We love ducks. Bathrooms are nice and trees and walkway are good too. Playground is kinda boring and better for older kids.
