I have been wanting to explore Madisonville and this BBQ joint was the first place to try.Brother's is located in a shopping center and on a Saturday morning at 11am, it was very sleepy.When you walk in, you order at the counter. I usually go for the combo plate but it was $25 and I was eating early supper so I passed. I went with pork plate. I have to learn to tell myself to look over the whole menu because some places like Brother's offer premium sides.The pulled pork with a sweet tea and tax was $18 something. I felt like there was enough pork but the sides could have had bigger portions for that price. The pulled pork was enjoyable but not elite. The slaw was creamy and lightly sweet. The potato salad had celery in it which I hate. I asked if I could have another side and asked for beans instead. They were gracious and gave me another side. The beans had a sweet taste.The best part of the meal to me was the sweet tea. It doesn't get better than the fresh brewed cold sweet taste of it!There are 3 sauces. Only the mild and rib are on the table but the hot is the superior sauce in my opinion. The hot isn't that hot to me...maybe a 3 out of 10 on the heat but it has a peppery taste to it. It reminds me of a Texas style BBQ sauce. The mild seems to be like a honey mustard type and the rib was midly sweet and bold. Overall, it was pretty good and a solid four. The atmosphere is a little dull with no TVs and only Christian music playing. The place looks kind of fancy. But anyway based on my meal today, you can find satisfaction here.

If you somehow run by Madisonville, KY, stop here. Chicken was smoked and chicken breast was a little bit dry. Rib sauce helped. Dark meat was juicy and rest of meats. Sides were good. Make sure you make time to enjoy your meal. Lots of comfort food.

Can't go wrong! I had to cater lunch for 20 people on short notice. Brothers can through for me! I ordered it just 90 min ahead of pick up and they had it ready to go! The pulled pork and chicken were phenomenal! The loaded baked potato salad is totally worth it. Mac and cheese was delicious. Definitely recommend!

For a barbecue restaurant, my favorite dish is the fish sandwich. The fish is twice as large as the bun. Steaks are also very good.

Brothers is one of my favorite lunch spots! Try the pulled pork salad or a burger with a loaded baked potato! Check them out on Friday nights too for steak night!

Well I ate here four years ago and posted the food was forgettable ...... 4yrs later tried the smoked chicken, dry and tasteless (still forgettable). If you want dry tasteless BBQ this is your place, how it has four stars I'll never know. The place was clean, the ladies working were friendly, but Taco John's has tastier food. I won't be going back.

Place was clean and staff were great. Barbecue was not good.Sorry but for the price it wasnot good. The don't havebeef brisket and I understand the sky rocketing prices but the pork they served is not barbecue.The fish is also bad. It tasted likeit had been thawed and frozen again several times. Their housesauce was not for barbecue at all. These are signs they mighthave business issues.

Service was good. Prices was fair even though it was lunchtime. It was on the high side. I had the chicken wings. My husband had the pulled pork. I took a bite of his pork,and right away knew that the pork had been boiled or baked or in a crock pot. Nothing bbq about it. On a scale of 1-10 4 1/2. The restaurant was very clean,and the employees was pleasant.

A very clean and comfortable dining experience. The St Louis style ribs were large, meaty and very tender. The rib plate comes with two sides. I routinely choose the baked beans and cole slaw and both were good. The side portions were on the small side but adequate and tasty. The wings were flavorful with a generous portion of very chunky blue cheese dressing however, the wings were very small. Each table had squeeze bottles of two flavors of BBQ sauce for ample added flavor that I always appreciate. One called their RIB sauce, was very nice on the ribs that provided that expected red BBQ tomato pepper flavor. The other sauce directed more toward the pork or possibly the chicken was a delicious mustard honey mix that I will use next time when i will likely try the pulled pork and /or chicken. Upside includes the clean comfortable interior, plenty of sauce for delicious added flavor, and the plentiful tender meat on each rib. Downside was the size of the wings and small side portions.
