Bourbons Bistro

Atmosphere was cozy and relaxed, but still upscale.Started off with the charcuterie board, then got the salmon and steak which were both fabulous and cooked perfectly, then for dessert we got the cheesecake, which was good, but nothing special in my opinion.Service was great, definitely worth the visit

I'd give probably a 3.5. My husband and I went for Valentines this year and we both liked our food okay. I got the pork chop, which somehow tastes exactly like breakfast sausage, but the green beans were delicious. My husband got the steak frites and enjoyed it. I was not a super fan of the atmosphere though, we were sat in the middle, right on top of other people, and since the building is narrow there's nothing at all to look at except wall when seated that way. Also thought it was pretty ridiculous they were selling Ste. Michelle Riesling for $52 a bottle.. when everyone knows that stuff is 9 bucks. Crazy. Overall service was decent and food was decent, but wouldn't go out of our way to return for the price.

We went for Valentine's Day dinner last night & it was truly a great meal! Service was beyond great & the food was banging! My husband loved the vibe.

What a superb dining experience Appetizers was the Gouda & Goat cheese spread with bread So deluctable ~ The main courses were so good ~Steak Frites & French fries with horseradish sauce / Pawn Shrimp & Grits so creamy delicious some of the best grits I've ever had / Southern Salmon cakes with cucumbers / dessert the bread pudding and the sauce was so good /Drinks : my first Bourbon Lily & Luccio Moscato Service was great And the Ambiance very soft & quaint love the lighting & decor Fabulous experience

This was our first stop when we arrived late to Louisville. While their kitchen was closed we had the best time tasting bourbons with the guidance of their young bartender. He educated us on bourbon and made excellent recommendations! We had so much fun. Also recommended a late night fourth meal location that we walked too later. This bar has an extensive bourbon collection, great service, while we cannot comment on the food I am sure it's nothing short of amazing! Thanks for a wonderful experience.

Not a bad place to eat. A bit pricey, but the quality of the food and the atmosphere is definitely a notch above

I'm a few days late posting this review but I couldn't let this one slip by. We made reservations for 5 last weekend. My daughter had been before and loved it, wanted us to try it out. We were promptly seated. Service was a little slow after that but we didn't mind with good company. We had the bone marrow, fried oysters and garlic and goat cheese spread appetizers. I would recommend all of them. Each one very flavorful. I'd have a hard time choosing just one. Everyone loved their main dishes as well. We were blasted but finished with a bourbon bread pudding for dessert that was also divine, save room!

I was in town recently on a work trip and was brought here by our host. I had a "nojito", poke nachos, and the cheeseburger with the egg and bourbon bacon and that stuff... so sorry I forgot what it was called. But I did not forget the burger! Best burger I've had all year and in the top 10 of burgers I've had in my life. It's a shame I couldn't finish this giant thing. The nojito was perfect and the poke nachos were pretty darn good too. I'm kind of sad that I might not ever get the chance to stop by again. But who knows? If work ever sends be back to the Louisville area, I'll 100% be back.

I really enjoyed Bourbons Bistro. Located in the charming Clifton neighborhood, it was nice to get out of Downtown and East Market. The restaurant is elegant and service was attentive and friendly.My drinks were excellent and strong. The bread and bruschetta were just OK, so I'd skip those. But my entree, the pork chop, was quite flavorful, as were the green beans and potatoes. And huge--I definitely couldn't finish it. I was too full for dessert, so opted for the Bourbon Ball after dinner drink instead. I could taste the hazelnut, which I loved. If I ended up visiting Clifton again, I'd absolutely return.

Had the Shepherd's Pie special, and it was fantastic. The service was excellent and we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves.
