Ordered the buffalo chicken sandwich and was intending to only eat half of it and save the other half for later - that plan failed! Everything was really good, from the chicken to the bread to the sauce they put on it. Onion smell was so intense that comments were made as to how pungent they were, so would recommend ordering without if you dont like the smell/taste of onions. I found the food to be so good that I wound up wearing some of it :).I havent tried anything else from here, but if the rest of the food is as good as the sandwich is then I will definitely be coming back.

It's been a minute since I was last at a BoomBozz. And it was as good as I remembered. I got a takeout large Quatro pizza with peppadew peppers (my husband's favorite) and a medium pepperoni for my kids. I was able to order easily via its site, and my pizzas were ready faster than I anticipated. The Quatro has red sauce, Italian sausage, prosciutto, artichoke hearts and portobello mushrooms. I love the mix of meats with the artichoke. The pizza doesn't skimp on the toppings. And in general, if you like your pizza piled high, this is the place to go.I also have to share that you should also grab a jar of the green chili jam available at the counter. It's made by the same parent company. A friend turned me on to this a few years ago, and it's great on pizza, crackers, with cheese -- supposedly it's also good in chocolate brownies. Boombozz is a Louisville staple I'm grateful for.

We enjoyed pizza week with takeout from BoomBozz. Both were pepperoni with hot honey drizzle and we got a thin and hand tossed. The thicker version was my favorite. Heated up good enough for a leftover lunch. We will add BoomBozz into the pizza rotation. If you prefer to dine in, they offer a large space and no issues with parking in the shared lot. Good for groups as well.

I've never been to BoomBozz Pizza, and I had some time to kill while my car was being serviced. BoomBozz is about a mile from the dealership. So I thought I'd work off the calories with a nice walk. BoomBozz had a greeter stationed by the door and I was asked if I wanted a table, booth or spot at the bar. I chose a table and my server was Johnny on the spot with menus. I went with a personal (8") pie with mushrooms, hamburger and jalapeños. And a 1/2 wedge salad. The server noted there's a lunch special where you can get a small pie and a side salad and save a few bucks. The salad was brought first and was a nice portion of iceberg with tomato and bacon bits. Dressing was on the side. The pie was served a few minutes later. It was hot, crispy and covered with lots of jalapeños and mushrooms. A little more cheese and it would have been awesome. Uh oh. No hamburger. Seems the cooks heard "ham" and thin slices were scattered under the other toppings. The waiter apologized. Offered to make another pie. I declined (I really wasn't upset). The waiter took the "unwanted" topping off the bill. So my maiden voyage to BoomBozz was a success made better as I walked off the calories heading back to the dealership.

This was my first time to BoomBozz and we absolutely loved it. The staff were friendly and our server was amazing! We ordered the Tater Kegs as an appetizer- delicious! Stuffed big tater tots with ranch to dip, how could you go wrong?! I ordered 8in The Goat pizza, the dough was soft and crunchy on the crust perfect combo. My husband had the Buffalo Chicken pizza, he said it was really good. Tuesday is 10 wings for 10$ and we got some togo for next day lunch. Thank you for a great first time experience!

It's been many, many years since I've been to BoomBozz. I'm pretty sure Yelp didn't exist the last time I was here. With that said, I was in Louisville for the World Fest and meeting up with some longtime friends for the day and we stopped by here for dinner. I have very fond memories of the amazing pizza at BoomBozz (unknown fact: Louisville has some very competitive pizza spots here. Lots of people seem to forget both Pizza Hut and Papa John's HQs are here so I'm sure there's lots of competition to be the next big thing). I used to go to the Frankfort Ave a lot (before it shut down) and am glad to hear they're doing well to expand into other states and evolve into a taphouse. The SO and I arrived and it was convenient that this location was located right off I-64 as it was on the way back to Lexington. Service was extremely friendly and our waitress was fantastic. I forget her name, but we mentioned we live in California and she had been in San Francisco for many years (but originally from KY as she had the accent). We were curious about their pepper jelly and she provided a sample, which was a nice sweet and spicy flavor. I had to get the pollotate....it's their signature pie. And it was made as I remembered it. It's been probably 15 years since I've had it, so maybe the recipe changed some...I do remember it had a smokier taste in the past and the garlic flavor was stronger). Maybe it was because I had always had it to-go in the past? Maybe the cheese was different (I swear it used to have a cheddar cheese but maybe I'm wrong). Whatever the case, it was still fantastic, although the flavor didn't slap as much as I remember. It could be me as well, a ton of other factors could contribute as well (maybe different oven, different cooking, etc etc). Regardless, BoomBozz did not disappoint. Fantastic service and delicious pies at reasonable prices (ok, maybe I'm so used to California prices that I find everything in KY cheap). And the plus here is they had vegan options for my SO, which makes this a definite safe place to come back to if we're in town.

Hubby was craving pizza and wanted to visit a place he used to frequent back in the day when he used to live in Louisville. The first thing that caught my attention when we walked in was a display of Green Chili Jam. I was curious and the helpful host suggested that I ask our server for a sample. Our friendly server was happy to give us a small sauce dish filled with Green Chili Jam along with some potato chips. It's not too spicy but it's got that spicy pepper flavor balanced with the right amount of sweetness. Yum! BTW, these potato chips were legit! I think these are made in-house. https://bit.ly/453jSXsI also ordered the Portobello Bello pizza and subbed out the cheese for Daiya vegan mozzarella. This pizza comes with portobello mushrooms, spinach, and roasted red pepper. Instead of red sauce, it has a garlic olive oil glaze. It smelled so good when it was brought to our table! Also, their crust is a perfect balance between toasty and doughy. Their 8" pizzas are the perfect size for me. In fact, I was only able to eat 3 of the 4 slices and next day leftovers were just as good. https://bit.ly/45Wp5BQMeateater Hubby likes their signature pizza, the Pollotateé.Good food, great service, clean restaurant. This place is a solid option!

Tried to find a restaurant opened after 9:30 pm and BoomBozz was the place. BoomBozz is your typical sports bar. I ordered a fire roasted chicken pizza, BoomBozz wings and a field salad. The food was good and the witness was helpful. I ordered the field salad with chicken and that was mistake. The chicken was cold and sweet. I would not recommend. Overall, the food was good.

My family and I went here for pizza week, and everything we ate was great, but the pizza week deal itself you could certainly pass on. It was described to us as a spicy vodka sauce with cheese, pepperonis, and peppers. To be frank, it just tasted like pepperoni pizza. But, I think the pepperonis just overpowered the other flavors because the bites we took without pepperoni were quite unique and tasty! We also tried the sangria, which was good and your standard red wine sangria, just a bit on the stronger side. I'm personally not the biggest pizza fan (I know - sorry!) so I also got barbecue wings. They were good, just your standard wings. We also got pretzels and beer cheese as an appetizer. They were good, the cheese tasted more so like queso dip than beer cheese. My boyfriend's mom also got the pollotate pizza. It was very different, but super good! Just on the heavier side. Our waitress was as sweet as could be and was very helpful and patient with us. It was very loud when we came, but it's a sports bar so we did expect that. Overall, a fun casual place to grab a moderately priced bite to eat, but for pizza week, maybe skip this one.

Confusing experience trying to place an online order. I called and the recording instructed me to go to the website to place a carry out order.I did that and paid for the order. I received a text that said "thank you for your order, it'll be ready at 8:21. Please click this link when you arrive and we will bring your food out". I pulled in, clicked the link and waited. They were pretty busy so I gave it some time. Finally after about 10 minutes of waiting I walked in, waited my turn and then explained that I was there to pick up an order. The gentleman asked my name and then went and got my order. I explained that I had been waiting for about 10 minutes. He said "you're supposed to call when you get here". I explained that I received a text instructing me to click a link to let them know when I arrived. I showed him the text message. He looked at it and told me matter of factly that I am supposed to call my order in. I told him that I did that and the recording explains that if you want to place a carry out order to go to the website. He stared at me with his mouth agape. I don't think he was grasping what happened so I left just as confused as the employee. What is the correct way to order and pickup food from boombozz on hurstbourne? I don't want to eat cold pizza again.
