This is a nice park that we went to when we were visiting their area. The downfall to the area is drugs must be really bad around here because we saw a lot of stay off drugs, signs, and on their benches and there was a woman that I would assume is on drugs, come and kick the living fire out of the bathroom doors trying to get in and then she also got a knife out and tried to open up the door with a knife. She did not do very well and she finally left. The park itself is nice and we enjoyed all the things that it had had some public art had a nice little statue tribute to a little girl that passed away unfortunately. Had nice swings and slides so it's a great park, I just worry about the surrounding neighborhood unfortunately, it appears that this part of Indiana is struggling with drugs

There's quite a lot going here at this park that has plenty of open space, a playground that is gated and several artworks about to make it pretty. There is only a small parking area. The picnic pavilion is modern and clean.I took the time to walk the lovely walking path that goes around the park and it's lovely. The cardio exercise equipment looks great.[Review 20190 overall - 51 in Indiana - 1167 of 2023.]

This park has a lot going for it. If you like places to sit and mature shade trees to sit under, then this is a great place to go. Although the playground isn't the largest I've seen, it is fenced and has a nice artificial base to prevent standing water and soften any falls that kids might have while playing. There is a pavilion available and several fitness pieces in the park on the opposite side from the playground (kids can do their thing, adults can do theirs). The park has several plaques dedicated to Bob Hedge including one that is attached to a large rock in the middle of the park.I didn't notice any parking lot, but I was able to find free street parking alongside the park for convenience.Review #3267

Great all generational and special needs park. It is located in an area with lots of room to play, picnic or just relax under the trees. The park has a walking concrete sidewalk trail that has physical therapy exercise equipment for all ages at specific locations along the trail. It has a shelter house that is perfect for having birthday parties or reunions. All the playground equipment is ADA approved and it has a rubber floor to help prevent injury. There is a swing that a wheelchair can be rolled into and many other playground pieces like swings, slides and monkey bars. To prevent children running out in the street the playground is enclosed by a tall iron fence. Bob Hedge Park has been used for many organized events such as Special Olympics for all ages. This is a clean, safe place to bring your children and adults with all abilities and disabilities. I Love and very proud of this park. Bob Hedge was my daddy, and he spent his life raising money for all children. He may be gone but he will never be forgotten.
