Blue Bay Seafood & Sushi Restaurant

This place was great. My birthday dinner with my sister. First time there. Very clean, excellent service , and menu offers so many choices. Didn't realize they were there. And they are on Door Dash. Prepared quickly but food was hot, very fresh tasting and crab legs were tender. A new seafood favorite.

Ordered a shrimp and crawfish boil for Fat Tuesday. The value was there, $41 after I added 2 eggs and 4 pieces of corn for my kids, their favorite part The highlight was the sauce. Cajun garlic butter was thick and just slightly spicy, and thickened as it cooled. It wasn't too oily.My only complaint would be that the crawfish and shrimp were definitely imported. It is to be expected as that's cheaper for the restaurant, but if there was a gulf option I would take it, even with a hefty upcharge. I could have used some sausage too, but that's probably just me being greedy.Overall, the seafood boil was good and not amazing. It's on par with Joes Crab Shack, but couldn't compete with gulf shore boils. I'll return and try something else off the menu next visit.

Great food. Lots of options and the service is friendly and fast. I don't think there is another place to get crab legs from a drive through. A hidden gem in Louisville that's no frills.

I think this is a new Japanese-style fast-food restaurant. Like McDonald's, your order is without a tip at the beginning. However, when you are seated, they bring you your food. All the food is delivered in disposable bowls, and you must clean up. I ordered shrimp fried rice, and there was very small chicken in the rice. The sushi rolls were delicious. If the restaurant's location is better, I would go back often. I recommend that you go and try it for yourself.

This place was amazing! We went here to celebrate my brother's birthday. They have a HUGE menu selection. We tried an array of things. The crab Rangoon is AMAZING, perhaps the best I've had. The cream cheese is perfect. The crab is amazing as well, and there's so much meat, it's definitely worth the money! The garlic butter was to die for. We also tried the crayfish. It's not for me personally but my brother loved it! My boyfriend and I also got the shrimp and vegetable hibachi rice to try. It was very good, especially with the yum yum sauce, but I do recommend skipping the vegetables as they tasted raw and I prefer mine cooked in some way. However, overall this place is amazing. The service was so kind, personable, and attentive. It's a smaller, intimate place that you can dress casually at while you indulge in your favorite messy foods. I can't wait to come back and try more of their large menu selection!

BlueBay is our favorite take home restaurant. The cod and Catfish combos are delicious. The fish is to die for. Sides are seasoned well. Our daughter swears by the rice: she says it is the best she has ever eaten. Prices are reasonable. The staff is top notch. My takeout orders are always right. Try it; you will like it.

So easy to miss coming down Poplar, but it is worth the u-turn to get back. Really good sushi. I cant wait to come back to try the fish.My only complaint is that the workers made a comment that my group finished eating and stayed a while, in an empty restaurant. I'll be back but it was not a good look when he asked us to pay rent for our time at the table.

Food was fresh and tasty. We had boil in the bag shrimp, hibachi, chicken, and shrimp, two sushi rolls and some chicken wings. The boil in the bag was the biggest hit. Everything tasted good. Solid restaurant!

Came and ate here Saturday July 13th. Ty et walked off with my grandmothers credit card and next thing we know 800 taken from her bank account. They've never walked off with my credit card when ive purchased from them.

Passed this place one day and looked up reviews on Yelp. Decided to visit based on the reviews. Yelp reviews have never let me down!Amazing seafood. Got the snow crab and shrimp boil Louisiana style and a side of greens. I was blown away by the flavor and quality. Can't say enough how good it was. So good I went back later in the day to grab a to go order to take some home for GF. Got the clams, side of slaw and Mac and cheese. Grabbed a sushi roll as well. Again all of the food was excellent. Even the desserts. This place was CLEAN! Dining area, bathroom, all of it just very clean. The only downfall is there is only one way in off Popular Level road. Don't miss out on this place.
