Blinkers Tavern

We made reservations from r Valentines dinner. They have a decent wine selection. We ordered a bottle of Prisoner and enjoyed our conversation with the start of a bottle of wine and a dirty Tito's for me. From there we had the crab cakes which were very good. Then we ordered dinner. I had the classic 8oz filet with baked and also ordered a wedge. My wife had an 8oz with crab and some type of sauce. Along with risotto. We really enjoyed our dinners and never felt rushed. From there it was coffee and a piece of NY cheesecake with turtle topping. I would recommend this dessert.If anything the coffee needs an upgrade.Excellent ambiance and service along with a fantastic meal.

I'm updating my review from April 2024. After that review, Sandy the owner reached out to me to apologize for the poor service we received and offered to make things right with a gift card. Given some health issues in our family, it was a while before we could visit Blinkers again, but we visited again last night for our 29th wedding anniversary.This visit was the complete opposite of our last visit to Blinkers and was in line with our previous experiences. Our server (who I think was Amy--wish I could remember for sure) was phenomenal. We were greeted by her soon after we were seated, and we received our drinks and salads extremely quickly. Our meal was perfectly timed; I was just about to take my last bite of salad when the entrees arrived. Our server frequently checked in, making sure our food was prepared properly and refilling our drinks. While all elements of the meal arrived promptly, we never felt rushed. We took our time and enjoyed a nice dessert when we were done with our entrees. It was even more impressive to me that they were very busy last night, between the holidays and the Bengals game), yet everything went so smoothly. I am so glad our terrible experience was a one-off and that this visit was up to Blinkers' usual standard of service. We definitely will return in the future.

This place is super cute. The main room looks like a quiet little tavern, but we were put in the back solarium looking area. It was very nice. It's bigger than it looks. We started with the pretzel and it was fantastic. The beer cheese had great texture and the pretzel was crisp and soft at the same time. One of the best I've had in the city.We shared the NY Strip special which came with a choice of soup or salad. We elected for the Caesar salad and it was beautifully fresh and had excellent dressing coverage. We got the steak cooked medium with the garlic mushrooms. The sear on it was absolutely perfect. It was cooked spot on medium. It was a great deal for the $27.95 asked and plenty of food for the two of us when paired with a side of the excellent Mac and cheese. Service was fantastic. We will definitely be back. It's better than Jeff Rubys by a good bit.

Restaurant was very accommodating for our large party. They took our reservation with no strange policies. I had a basic breakfast and had no complaints. However, a couple of our guests had mixups with their orders. The server was apologetic and made the appropriate corrections. Nice spot for a bite and mimosas.

This was the perfect place for a date night. The food was delicious and it was reasonably priced. We ordered two appetizers, two steaks and two glasses of wine each (4 drinks total) and it was under 130 before tip. Our server was so consistent and amazing. he timed our meal so we didn't feel rushed or waiting around we would return!

Seabass was amazing. Per usual sure everything went really well. We had a larger group and they did stick us in a really weird side table because I felt like we were in the way from everybody trying to go back-and-forth, but I guess it may have been the only thing I'm not sure

The Food is awesome ! I went inside because I could smell the food outside and it was amazing! I ordered the fish n chips and I was extremely satisfied! The texture, the flavor and the quantity were all great! I actually wanted a steak also so I decided to get that as well . The steak was very good and the service was above average. Went back for a second time only to find out that the fish n chips are only on the lunch menu . But I will be returning there soon for lunch!

This place WAS AMAZING! THE FOOD omg THE FOOD! Was so tasty (once again I almost picked the plate) the service was awesome too! The manager asked us if we can move tables since there was a bigger party that needed our seats and because of that they offered dessert on the house! This place was very clean and it felt really cozy (specially since it was cold). We see ourselves coming back really soon!

Got the Barvarian Pretzel for the appetizer. Bone in Ribeye with baked potato, side salad with ranch and Brussel sprouts and the cheese cake for desert. Service was exceptional. Quick and friendly. Very nice atmosphere. Dont let Tavern in the name fool you. Blinkers is awesome. The bone in Ribeye was one of the best steaks I've ever had. Cooked to perfection. Add the garlic butter. I can't get over how good it was. Thier homemade ranch was excellent. The Pretzel was huge salty and good. We will be back for sure. Oh oh. The cheesecake was some of the best I've had.
