I always love a stop here when I'm in town. I remember the original location opening when I was attending school at Marshall Uni 10+ years ago.Service was stellar and the food was great as always. My husband and I each ordered a burrito. I ordered black beans for my side to share with our daughter. Beans were full of flavor. Portion sizes will have you leaving full! We aren't beer drinkers anymore but loved the looks of the beer menu! I always enjoyed sours when I drank so I enjoyed seeing some traditional sours on the menu. Service was friendly & food came out quickly. We stopped in for lunch on a weekday so it wasn't busy while we dined in.

Black Sheep Burrito & Brews is a solid pick if you're looking for a casual spot in Charleston, WV. I went with the Hot Mess burrito, which was tasty and filling--classic bar food flavors that hit the spot, though nothing super unique. My partner ordered a trio of tacos with different fillings, and each was decent and well-prepared. Overall, the food was good, hearty, and filling, but pretty standard as bar fare goes. The real highlights were the fantastic beer selection and the friendly service, which made us feel right at home! The staff was attentive, and the place has a low-key, welcoming vibe with a hint of sports-bar atmosphere.Charleston is such a cute, small city, and while there aren't tons of food options, Black Sheep came recommended on Reddit, so we decided to give it a try. We were a bit bummed that we couldn't check out some of the more upscale restaurants that open later in the day, but Black Sheep was definitely worth the visit for a relaxed, casual meal!

So the night of the Downtown Charleston Christmas Parade, we always have dinner first before marching in the parade and handing out candy to the kids!! The food is delicious and budget-friendly!!! We love the "Flock of Tacos" with flavors from all over the world, plus the homemade guacamole and chips! Great friendly service! GM Kevin Madison and his crew ROcK!!!

We stopped in for a quick lunch-we've visited another location while driving through and enjoyed the food. This is a downtown spot so parking is on the street. We were immediately greeted and served. We ordered the trio of queso, guac, and pico. The portion of chips was generous! Also ordered the steak burrito with Korean noodles as a side and it was all delicious. Solid spot to visit!

Excellent service from our server, Alex. We came for weekend brunch while passing through town. with a name like black sheep burrito, you'd expect at least one burrito on the menu. but no burritos for us that day unfortunately. it turned out ok because they had the next best thing for my son...quesadillas. I ordered the huevos rancheros with chicken and over easy eggs. it was uniquely prepared and had some heat. don't get it if you can't handle the heat. Sour cream helped to cool things down. I still recommend to give them a try but don't expect burritos during weekend brunch until 3.

Black Sheep has a fun, casual atmosphere with great service. The menu is eclectic, offering with a variety of Mexican, Asian, American fusion tacos and burritos. Unfortunately, the execution does not live up to the concept. The ahi tuna taco were fine, but not the best. Similar with the Thai shrimp. What saved our meal was the chicken wings--we ordered the Siracha-honey glaze and were blown away. First off, the wings were HUGE, with crisp, light fry on the outside and were juicy and flavorful on the inside. The wings are served with a maple-ranch which was great. Again, not the best Mexican food we've had (there are definitely better tacos in Charleston), but an interesting concept if "fusion" cuisine is your thing. 4/5 stars.

Service was great! We hadn't been for brunch in a long time because the chicken strips on the waffles seemed they had changed and they had been out of items from pride week the last time we went. But we tried it again and the chicken and waffles were great as well as the biscuit and gravy! Glad to see brunch is what it used to be! Definitely recommend!

LET ME TELL YAH. Black Sheep bamboozled me with some of the best gosh dang chicken wings I have had in a loooong time. The chicken is cooked to perfection with the perfect layer of honey sriracha sauce on them, sticky and scrumptious. The fries are so crispy you think you just escaped the 7th layer of hell to the sweet embrace of heaven, perfection. Also I think I got like maple ranch and that was so sweet it reminded me of my high school sweetheart. The inside is classic restaurant bar with friendly staff. My friends enjoyed their burritos which is a good sign for a burrito place. Would go again.

I can help yoI absolutely love the Meatless Chickpea Chorizo Quesadilla at this place. It's incredibly delicious - I find myself daydreaming about it for days. This dish never fails to leave me feeling completely satisfied, and it's an excellent choice for anyone looking for a vegetarian option. The staff is always warm and welcoming, and the atmosphere is ideal for enjoying a night out with friends or grabbing a quick, enjoyable lunch.

This week I decided to try Black Sheep again six months after I saw cockroaches under the adjacent table. It appears Black Sheep's months-old cockroach problem has not been resolved. Can only imagine what the kitchen looks like. Gross. To top it off, my friend's quesadilla had two hairs in it. I am officially done with this place.
