Racist bar staff and customers. I am a disabled army veteran who is also Asian American. Was a victim of a racist slur and the bartender on duty as well as all of the customers thought it was hilarious. Do not know the bartenders name but it happened on 7/22/2020. Would not recommend

I'm not from Louisville. I lived on the East side of town since I moved here, up until last year when I purchased a house in Beechmont. With that being said, I have definitely started to explore the Southend more, Bj's being one of them. I went on a Friday night when a friend's band was playing. They had nice tall bar height tables and plenty of them. A bucket of beer was $12 and from what I remember I believe there was 5 in them. Pool tables in the back, tons of TVs, and a smoking area outside. I will make note that the scenery did change closer to midnight, as a younger crowd started trickling in. From what I was told a DJ goes on later and things seemed to be sketchier. When I left there were a lot of young kids smoking outside and just "hanging out" not sure why, I thought that was what the inside of the bar was for. Also a cop was sitting out front along with security guards. Overall, I would go back, not for the dance party, but for the bands oh and people watching, definitely a good spot for that also.

I used to go here when it was Longhead's and only been 3 times since it was BJ's. It was a great place to host the Henken band last Friday. I wish they had draught beers. They have a nice outside deck and ample parking and pool tables.

Very hard to get drinks bc the place IS too small. It's too challenging to actually get to the bar. Music is too loud. Ever since the Electric Cowboy closed, all of the rough people started to come here. So the quality of people has really gone down hill. They DO NOT cut people off once they've had too much so there are PLENTY of drunks... that certainly doesn't help with anything. It's packed elbow to elbow bc it's one of the few bars to go in that stretch. They also only have 2 pool tables which are constantly being used (and roughly).

BJ's has been the go to spot on Sundays to watch your favorite NFL team. This is only relevant if Cheryl is not working the bar. She refused to change the channel to the game me and friends came to see. Maybe it's a great place to visit, but if Cheryl is working the bar, then just go on down the road. It will not be a good experience.

Yeah I don't recommend this bar. When I first got there everything was all great and dandy. As I started to get drunk the staff started charging me more and charging me for drinks I never ordered. They must of thought that's since I was younger I wouldn't be able to notice. Tell me how I ordered fucking 24 drinks at 2.50 each. And managed to spend 100? For those who can't do basic math that only equals to 60$ The funny fucking thing is I switched to beer half way through and the beer I was drinking was only 50 cents. After the first beer they started charging me 3.00 for a 50 cent beer. Makes no god damn sense right? I might of been drunk, but I know exactly what I got and there was no reason for this bitch to be charging me extra just so she could have a sizable tip. If you're looking for a good bar I recommend The back door on Bardstown road. Excellent staff and have never had a problem there.

Not sure this is a safe place to visit. I witnessed a fight, both parties were kicked out & on the way out I watched a bouncer give one of them a high five. A short while later the person giving the bouncer five was back in & had started another fight. I asked to speak to the manager to let him know what had happened & was asked to leave. I left without any problems, but will not be going back in fear of my safety.
