Betty's OK Country Cooking

We decided to stop for an early dinner on a Thursday. I'm glad we got there early, because it got real busy around 5pm. Seems to be a popular place! We ordered a hamburger and BLT, which were both delicious. The BLT had a mayo that didn't taste real good, but maybe they can try a new brand? Sometime saving money on premade ingredients isn't always worth the few dollars saved. We suggest a better quality, or even making your own! Which isn't hard at all. Just a thought. The service was fantastic.I think our waiters name was Devon. And a young lady high school age helped us too. I'mSorry to forget her name. They were fast, careful to get things right and seem to be great at their jobs. We will definitely stop there again when in Columbia,KY.

Amazing food, service and atmosphere! 100% recommend for anyone coming through Columbia, Ky! Fried pickles and the homemade ranch was to die for. I had the Catfish and it was fried to perfection. Hubby had the Manhattan and daughter had Country Fried Steak and all were delicious. Love love love

Best breakfast ever, Eggs, Bacon and pancakes all were great and fresh cooked to order.There is something for everyone on this menu.The Burgers are amazing with a generous amount of toppings. The Chicken is served was amazing ranch sauce. The place is clean and well maintained . The staff truly make you feel like you are at home. I high recommend this place for breakfast or lunch. I will be back.

Great food, good service and friendly atmosphere. Fried Catfish was great as well as the vegetables. I would highly recommend this restaurant. I would give it a 5 star.

The name of the restaurant doesn't inspire much confidence. Like, well, it's not good, but, Yas know, it's ok. That silliness aside, I went to breakfast and thought it was quite good. I ordered the tenderloin breakfast plate. I was not impressed at all with the tenderloin- it was completely without taste, but it was tender, ago at least there's that! My companion got country ham, and it was perfectly salty and yummy. I asked to get my eggs poached and the server didn't even know what that meant. Oops but ok. The biscuit and gravy was also a little bland. The biscuit was too well done on the bottom. Not burnt, but it was tough to cut. Gravy needed more seasoning but a generous sprinkling of pepper did the trick. Service was well-meaning but not very efficient. Got our breakfast but had no silverware. She said she'd go get some. Asked if we needed anything else. I asked for Cholula (none) but they had hot sauce. Ok. She brought the hot sauce but still forgot the cutlery. Prices were really reasonable. Bottom line: I'd go back. I want to go back for lunch or supper to try that food. I would NOT get the tenderloin again.

Stopped in on our way back to Louisville. It was busy and the staff was hustling. Lots of locals and greetings called, nice laid back vibe. Staff was welcoming. I ordered the full hot bar with side salad because I just wanted to try it all. Meatloaf and turkey were delicious, ham and roast beef ok. Roasted veggie, lima beans, potatoes and cauliflower bites were great! Homemade ranch on salad was tasty. SO got the regular burger and a loaded potato. It took a bit but it came out looking great and he said it was really good, we also ordered 3 slices of pie to take home. We got the sand pie, lemon meringue and coconut cream. All made in house except for the lemon. Our favorite was the coconut with real shreds of coconut but they were all delicious. Great place! We'll remember it when we're back in the area.

THE BEST COUNTRY COOKIN!I had the veggie omelet and was soon delicious. This place won't disappoint. The pie is a must different from East coast or West coast traditions. I ate the pecan pie and was super creamy deliciousness. I took another pie to go along with the homemade biscuit.

Found this place on Yelp, and I can definitely say that Betty is not giving herself enough credit! We both ordered breakfast which was two eggs cooked to order, 3 slices of bacon, and toast. We both added potatoes, and had sodas and I got a piece of sand pie to go. All for $25! The food was delicious and wait staff was very friendly. It's obviously a local place and was very busy on a Sunday. If I'm ever over that way again, I'll definitely go back! Well worth the few miles off of the parkway.

We were in the area and decided to stop in for breakfast and I'm so glad we did. Service was great and the food was amazing! We will definitely be back!!!

The young girl who stated she was the "manager" was the rudest waitress and "manager" we've ever encountered in the food industry. We waited over 40+ minutes for breakfast food when they were not even busy! Our food arrived ICE cold and when i approached a staff member, the young girl was terribly rude and made our experience horrible. After hearing such good things we had such high hopes and the "manager" ruined it for us! Such a shame!
