Best Donuts

While we were out doing the 127 yard sale we stumbled on this excellent donut shop. There was a great variety of donuts sold as well as some drinks to accompany the donuts. The place was clean and the staff were very attentive. The donuts and drinks were reasonably price and best of all the donuts were EXCELLENT!!

My favorite best doughnut is in Austin, Indiana and we go out of our way to stop through there when we can. When I saw there was a best doughnut in Lawrenceburg. I was very excited. So I stopped there and got a dozen. I was shocked and disappointed. This is nothing like the best doughnut that I am familiar with. The donuts seem to stale yet it was morning still. The yeast donuts should be nice and flaky, but they instead we doughy. It says that it doesn't donuts is $11 but if you get fillings, I guess they add more because my dozen was $17. I had two longjohns with custard and two glazed round with jelly. Unfortunately, the glazed round did not have jelly and instead had custard, and that was a disappointment as well.Maybe it was just a bad day, but my recommendation is don't buy a dozen. Just try one donut first. I wish I had done that. I just assumed the same name and the same pink doughnut on the sign that they would be the same but they are not.
