Large majority of the RVs were similar to this or was obvious people were living here or staying for long periods of time.
Roads go through the park left you little room to get through especially if you were pulling a trailer or driving a large class A

When I see such mixed reviews on a place, I feel obligated to give a honest and detailed review. This was written in June 2023. Prices to get in the amusement/water park are $44.99 plus tax for anyone over 48" but there are a few offers that can get you in cheaper. I strongly suggest using a discount, as this park is not worth the full price. You are allowed to bring one water bottle per person and you should because there are limited areas of shade. The two star review is because of the following:First, like many of the prior reviews have stated, the rides are old, unkept, and rickety. A few are even dangerous. The Wild Mouse gave me a bruised leg and sore neck. The main attraction for thrill seekers is the Kentucky Rambler, which was closed when we were there. There were other rides closed too. Second, most of the snack huts were closed. The lines at the opened concessions were long and moved slow. Of course food is overpriced too. I would recommend bringing your lunch/snacks in a cooler and going outside the park for eating. They allow you to go and come with a stamp. There are shaded picnic tables outside the park if you bring your lunch. You can't bring coolers of food inside. Third, the park is overrun with tweens and teens. Ages 12 and up are allowed in without an adult. My 9 year old son rode the bumper cars and got bumped really hard by a unsupervised teenager. I was worried he may have gotten whiplash. Fourth, our experience with the staff was pleasant and the only reason we gave 2 stars instead of 1 star. The staff enforced the rules and took their jobs seriously. Many of them joked around with my son. In conclusion, if you are an area tween or teen with a season pass, this park may be worthwhile. If you have kiddos under 5 years old, there are a number of kiddie rides that are safe enough. The water park also has a nice little kids section. The free parking and free sunscreen is a plus. If you arrive when they open, lines for rides aren't long, especially on weekdays.Again, if you pay full price for your tickets and don't bring your own food, you will probably be disappointed. However, if you pack food and get a discount, you may be able to enjoy yourself if you fancy low budget fair rides. I recommend Holiday World, about an hour from Beech Bend, it's well worth the drive. Holiday World is clean and the rides are safe. If you go to Holiday World in May, your tickets would be cheaper than Beech Bend.

They have gotten so tight with their offsite food checks. They have always allowed my wife and I to enter with a thermos of water. We never broke their food or soft drink rules because those rules were reasonable. Today when I entered with my traditional water, they asked me to dump it out. I did so but was so disgusted, I just went back home. I have had memberships for years. No longer. For the rest of the season I will not spend one dollar within the gates and if I want water, I will just pitch it over the fence when I enter then retrieve it as could be expected if such "children" as my wife and I. No more Beech Bend memberships for me. Just think of all the revenue they lose because even cold water offends. Yes, I know. I could have stood in line to get their water which would have been warm as soon as I sat down.

This review is for the campground only, as we never even made it into the amusement park. The front office doesn't take reservations, so after we packed up our family, food, and camper (eight people and two dogs) and drove two hours they proceeded to tell us they had no available campsites. Ok... I guess that can happen. However, when we pulled over out of the way to figure out where else we could go, one of the employees came over to gripe at us and tell us we couldn't park there. When we answered back, telling her we just needed a minute, she then proceeded to give us a "y'all don't need to get hateful with me." The audacity was overwhelming. We will never go back because I refuse to give my money to anyone who runs a business like that.

I come here a lot during the summer. Every time it's hit or miss. Kinda concerning how on vortex someone's seatbelt didn't work. Staff is hit or miss too. I found a pair of sunglasses on the ride sizzler and I said "sir I found these on the seat and they're not mine." He told me that he wasn't allowed to take them from me when they weren't even mine and he made me undo my seatbelt and hold everyone up because he couldn't grab them from me. Lots of tweens and teens roaming around cutting in front of you so be prepared for that. If you don't want to pay 10 dollars for an entree and 4 dollars for a drink then I suggest you should eat somewhere else before coming. Also if you ride white water express they will tell you a different seating order every time and when I question it every time they say it's the safest way. I was also fat shamed on white water express last year and I'm not even fat I am average weight, the staff told me that I was too big and I couldn't ride with my two friends (We rode together every time before that) On the days all rides are open (not often) it's fun but I don't like rude staff and low ride quality and maintenance every time. It's alright

The workers that cook the food on july 6 that was closest to the entry area was rude and under cooked my chicken. The guy made catty comment after serving me pink chicken if new chicken was cooked to my likings. Charge me for ice cream that they didn't have for funnel cakes. He ride workers were nice and so was the workers at the food place closer to the big roller coaster.

There were 6 of us that went to Beech Bend this weekend for the 1st time and I was very glad we did as everyone had a blast. For those worried about COVID-19, I'll go into details just for you. (Pros/Cons and advice)It is up to you if you choose to wear a mask or not. Upon entry, your forehead temperature is scanned. At rides, even if a line is short, it takes quite a while bcos they disinfect each seat with spraying it down with a cleaning solution before allowing riders on. At the rides, they seat families together and space out strangers as best as possible.Nice that there are free 30SPF sunblock stations but definitely not sanitized as each person touches the pump with their hands. Bring your own SPF or at least your own wipes to sanitize the pump before using it.However at the waterpark sections, it is impossible for social distancing. When going up the water slides, everyone is squished together. The big pool in the back with the netting was full of people of all ages, teeny babies to elderly grandparents. The wave pool was in my opinion just nice as I've seen packed wave pools and this was just perfect. But, you can't social distance bcos there's no controlling who you're gonna bump into. There was a couple (albeit hilarious and ridiculous) that attempted to by wearing a "Joker" mask/neck gaiter but it was wet and i was more worried about them choking/drowning. Not sure if they were really COVID19 afraid or trying to pull a stunt wearing the Joker cloth gaiter. Sadly, I didnt have my phone or I'd surely have taken a pic of thatAt the food booths, only 2 lines were open in each section for social distancing but everyonr in the lines were standing back to back bcos the lines were long. Even those that just wanted free water/ice had to stand in line which kinda didnt help. == Maybe the park should have water stations that we guests can refill BOTTOMLINE: If you don't care about COVID, or want to have a semi-normal day of what it felt pre-covid, you'll have a great time. We were not worried bcos we already have gotten and cleared COVID-19 and even if we hadn't, we would have been prepared to be in quarantine 14 days and let ourselves recover. However, if you're elderly and worried, stay home cos it's impossible to do 6ft social distancing and due to lines etc.Now that we've gotten the COVID precautions out of the way, for newbies like myself.... We got this special 2 for 1 deal. Typically it's $37.99 plus 6% tax is $40.27 per person per day. And since we went both Sat and Sun for Labor day weekend, the 6 of us would've paid quite a lot! This saved us a ton whew! The $10 souvenir cup was a great deal and both our families each got it and saved on the $1 refills. If you dont, each 20oz drink is $3 so if you plan on getting more than 4 drinks, you're better off with the souvenir cup. I was actually very impressed with the whole affordability of the Food and Beverage options and prices at Beech Bend park. And they had Funnel Cakes for $4. We shared 3 over the course of 2 days but worked it off running up all those stairs for the water slides I'm giving this a 4* instead of 5* only bcos they are not open daily and of the remaining weekends, they are closed every Sat and only available 11am-7pm on Sundays. They should also consider having later hours like some water parks in other states stay open 1-2 days weekly till 9pmI'm actually looking forward to buying a season pass next year as the kids totally loved it!

I brought my son and a few of his friends here for his 13th birthday. This park is so small. I planned to spend a day here but I seriously don't know if there is enough to do for more than a couple hours. This is like a county fair, but charges full amusement park price. The only good thing is that there are no lines because the park is empty! This park is really meant for little ones only. Nothing much to do for older kids.Waste of money. So disappointing.

We bought tickets for a family reunion and everyone from young to old found something to enjoy all day long. We stopped midafternoon to eat. We kept busy from about 11:30 am to five and some were still not ready to leave. I would recommend this place as close to home and enjoyable water and amusement park.

Review of campground. where do I start? Basically, the place is a dump. It reminds me of a mobile home park with a bunch of permanent residence and RVs that look like they've been abandoned for years. The electrical connections are dangerous. The surge protector on the motorhome next to us melted, when plugged into the power box and while we were here for this stay the power kept going out. They blamed it on the number of RVs, but yet they have all of these spaces and not the capacity to supply them with power even the maintenance person who had only worked here for a short time said he had never seen such shotty and dangerous electrical work before. The space we ended up getting which was one of the last ones the water pipe leaked and was right next to the power box so when you go to plug into the power box, you were standing in 3 inches of water. Unfortunately, the other parks were all full for this weekend so we ended up just running our generator the whole time would never stay here again. I would rather spend the night in Walmart parking lot. and the staff at the check-in booth was mostly rude. Lastly, they have signs as well as the rules. They hand out when you check in stating no motorcycles, ATVs, etc. only golf carts allowed, but yet there were ATVs and minibikes running all over the park all hours of the day and night.

I was a little apprehensive about coming here. But we had a great time! Definitely go on a Tuesday, when they offer BOGO. The rides were great, don't come expecting Disney or Dollywood but definitely a giant step up from carnivals or fairs. The pool area was fantastic. Wish they offered better, more comfortable chairs. But other than that, it was great for all ages. The food was not so great. When we go back, I think we will eat a big breakfast or lunch before. We'll come back for sure!
