Bean

Bean on Goss Avenue in Germantown is always a great place to grab a morning coffee and a quick breakfast, especially if you want to take it to go for your ride to Lexington. The coffee in my opinion beats Heine Brothers but a mile and the feel of a local neighborhood coffee shop is special. Picked up a cold brew which was incredibly smooth and a regular drip coffee with milk. So dative and a great wake me up. A bagel with hummus and overnight pays completed our breakfast order. Bean has a good assortment of lunch options as well. Be sure to stop by. And you couldn't ask for nicer and more accommodating servers...service is friendly, accurate and accommodating. The only drawback of Bean is that it is not accessible to someone who can not walk up a few stairs to enter the eatery.

Comestibles and Potables. Coffee was decent, but the DONUTS were great, especially the Apple Fritters that were a big as your face! HUGE MENU. Great selection of breakfast and lunch options.Vibe. Decor is country but not tacky. Bright and spacious. But, you do have to bus your own tables-- so, not sure if your table gets wiped and sanitized.Hospitality. You place your order and then you either pick it up or they deliver to your table that correlates to the number you grabbed. Super friendly and informative. Of note. The name is Beans (not Bean). Lot parking. Loos were cleaned and stocked. Overall. Good and would come back.

When in the area Bean continues to be a regular stop for me and with my oldest now at UL he's a regular. He and I stopped by on a weekday for food and drinks, including bagels, sausages biscuit, turkey and swiss, hot chocolate and lattes.I enjoyed the sandwich. In fact my son ate half and I was still happy. It came with a side of chips. My lavender lattes are strong there, almost too much. I need to remember that and ask for less or try another syrup. When I took my first sip today I understood why people compare it to soap. My stops here tend to be quicker. I'm realizing this has more to do with the space and available seating than my schedule. It's not a space that's as comfortable to me so I don't crave to come and linger or meet people for conversation. Fairly easy to grab street parking nearby and no meters to pay.

I've always enjoyed going up to Bean when I'm out on a walk. It's a nice little coffee shop on the corner. Lately, I've had some issues with thier service. Today, there was a man who dropped his coffee. He informed the man behind the counter and he offered to clean it for the man behind the counter. The man behind the counter let him clean it. He proceeded to watch and hand him towels without taking control and cleanup the mess.I also had an issue with the wait time I had for a tea last week. There were several staff members there and they kept talking about music with each other while my tea sat behind the counter. I had to tell them that my drink was behind them.

Just what I want from a corner coffee shop. Good local bakery foods paired with their good coffee. My kids sat at the window and had smoothies and Nord donuts... easy access and good street parking.

Enjoy a latte and cookie while doing a bit of work. Bean is a cozy spot in Germantown with a surprisingly extensive menu and a bright, airy vibe. It was plenty quiet to do a little work, but the staff was pleasantly chatty with me and other guests giving off a laid back atmosphere. My latte was really good - nothing fancy but quality coffee, which is pretty hard to come by around here. The cookie was not baked in store, but was a delicious complement to my drink. They have a lot of different brews and small bites, so I'll be back to sample a bit more.

Excellent customer service, atmosphere, friendly, welcoming and the coffee is the best! Nice food selections as well. Makes my day so much better

Charming airy space great for enjoying your coffee or lunch. Staff was nice, prices were great and the restroom was well stocked with different items you might need. Great job Bean!!!

This is still my favorite spot for coffee. The service is great and the coffee is quite good. You can't beat the ambiance in this Germantown neighborhood coffee shop. Of course it's street parking only but usually I can find a spot nearby.

Yum! Can't wait to spend more time here.I got the Veggie Deluxe bagel for lunch and a green tea with matcha and lemongrass tea for lunch. Everyone working was very helpful and nice. There were a lot do people chilling, hanging out, and working midday on a weekday - which is a great sign.I got my food to go and ended up toasting the bagel a little longer at home. I packed all the ingredients into a bagel sandwich and it was absolutely delish.I'm excited to come back to do some laptop-work for a little while and try some more menu items!
