Barzelona

We stopped in for lunch on Saturday, about an hour before closing. Lovely space with great tables and intimate lighting. They were pretty empty but the service was still great.We decided against ordering drinks but ordered 5 tapas to share rather than paella since it takes 45 minutes. We got the Cuban slider, the shrimp ceviche with tostones, the meat and cheese charcuterie board, short rib and manchego empanadas, and yucca fries. Everything was good, but not great, and the portion for the empanadas was laughable honestly. We would've prefer two larger ones than 4 small ones the size of my thumb. Nothing felt particularly special or tasty, I personally didn't like the cream sauce that was on the ceviche and my husband was severely disappointed with the yucca fries. Overall, fine, but maybe we just ordered the wrong things.

This is the best Cuban food I have ever had in the United States. Nestled right here in the Lexington area, is this amazing quaint Cuban restaurant owned by a couple brothers that have nocked it out of the park! Wow! Highly recommend the Cuban Style Roasted Pork Plate for an authentic experience that is to die for. Please support local, as this two have something special going on! The service is impeccable!

Tapas at Barzelona last night. Pleasantly surprised how good. Gambas al Ajillo, perfectly cooked shrimp in garlic olive oil. Even gave me tasty bread to dip into the oil. The Patatas Bravas, perfect too, were delicious. Alberto, our waiter, was excellent. He took the time to chat about Spain and food. Will definitely go back.17

Easy five stars here. This is one of my favorite restaurants in Lexington. The food is phenomenal and the service is excellent.I brought the whole family here, and we tried a lot of different options: fish taco bites, Cuban sandwich sliders, pork street tacos, Cuban style roasted pork plate, bacon chipotle cheese burger, patatas bravas, and tostones with shrimp ceviche.You all, every single one of those options, from the tostones to the burger, were fantastic. The ceviche - it is so fresh and tasty. There are just so many great options here. If you said I had to pick a favorite, I'd say I'm not comfortable making that decision, but in the end I might go with the port street tacos. They melt in your mouth like butter. But I'm telling you that it is all top notch. I absolutely love this place.On a side note (pun intended), don't go without trying the plantains, patatas bravas, and, as unusual as this may sound, the french fries. They are incredible!Just writing this review has made me hungry, and luckily Barzelona is right behind the house, so I'm headed there now. I might see you there!

Okay folks you really need to come and see the two brothers from Zaragoza Spain. Their menu is full of authentic dishes that will tantalize your taste buds. The service and ambiance is fabulous. So grab some friends enjoy a few tapas, a glass of wine and support the brothers. Your group will enjoy their cuisine, I know you won't regret it.

My favorite part was the fish tacos. We also ordered the Cuban sandwich and the fried calamari which was good too. It's a small place with about 10 tables so might want to plan ahead if you have a larger party. The restaurant is decorated very cute. Great atmosphere. Will definitely be back.

I really liked my experience at this new Tapas restaurant in Lexington. I ordered two tapas items - the Cubano sliders and the pork tacos. Both tasted great and the food was so filling I almost didn't have room for my 2nd taco (but I did eat it anyway!). The atmosphere is great and service super friendly.

Ate here the first time tonight and we were not disappointed. Small but cozy dining room. We arrived early, around 6 pm and were seated served fairly quickly. We were only the second couple there but it filled up while we were there. We got the potatoes, shrimp and pork street tacos from the tapas menu and the Cuban pork plate from the entree menu. All were fantastic! The sangria was pretty nice as well. Definitely will go back!!

We had the Tapas Chicken Croquet's along with the Chicken Empanadas then the Cuban Tacos. Everything was delicious and our only regret is that we don't live locally to be able to go frequently. Definitely don't pass this little gem of place up and go enjoy their delicious food and excellent service.
