Bacon Creek Cafe

This place was the best food on our recent road trip. First it is off the beaten path. Definitely a locals gathering spot. All the ladies in there are SUPER friendly and have amazing personalities Based on other reviews I read, we ordered the fried pepper cheese appetizer- it did not disappoint. So yummy!! We ordered a bacon cheeseburger with seasoned fries and a catfish platter with baked beans and fried potatoes. Came with hush puppies. SO much food came out lol. Everything was cooked perfectly and very flavorful. Even though we were too full to finish our meals we ordered a piece of Peanut Butter Crumble pie- it was delicious!! Definitely worth the detour off the freeway for an amazing meal!! And our interactions with the staff made it extra memorable-Thanks Ladies!!

The restaurant is a necessary staple. People need to drive to eat there from miles around. You don't know until you know. Trust me.

I went out of my way to find something that was not fast food. This is off the Interstate but not far. If you are not a local you would have to seek it out. The kind of place the wait staff know all the locals by name. Food was good and the service excellent.

This place must be in some kind of time vortex. They allow smoking anywhere inside the restaurant! That may be off-putting to some, but I found it charmingly nostalgic. SThe food is incredible home cooking quality, and the prices are so low, you'll really feel like you stepped back 15 years in time. I'm talking double bacon cheeseburger and fries for $6.95, country fried steak with two sides for $9! I ate lunch here with four other grown men for less than my family of three spends on a typical fast food run. Service was fast too! I would absolutely go out of my way to eat here.

Looks like a small place from the outside. Seats plenty more. Seat yourself. Beware, they allow smoking on both sides of the restaurant which I personally despise but it does not stop me from enjoying my meal. I guess they still allow it bc of the all of the elderly/rednecks in the area (no offense). Let's get down to the good stuff ... all appetizers are $4.99 (cheapest of any place I've been to in awhile). Options include fried pickles, fried cheese cubes (our personal favs), corn nuggets (another good choice), mozzarella sticks and more. Main courses ... they have a daily special menu that changes weekly. That includes a main dish, 2 sides and choice of bread for $9.25. Breakfast is served all day. Fish specials every Friday. we have tried several items off of the menu and have yet to be disappointed. You do get a discount for paying cash which is an extra bonus. Their desserts are made in house daily which are $5.25. Also, the cheapest dessert I've seen in a long time. We actually ordered coconut cream pie and chocolate meringue pie today and both were still warm from them being baked earlier. Rhonda is probably their longest running waitress. She's a hoot. She treats us like family every single time and she doesn't even know us. The bathrooms are always clean as well as the entire restaurant. They offer a lot of soda options as well (Coke products). I would totally give this place 5 stars if it was smoke free! The only complaint I have is the smoking.

A true gem. The waitresses were so very kind. The food was delicious. Price was great and super fast service.

My family and I love their breakfast. Haven't been there for lunch or dinner but we plan on going. Twana, is a great waitress.

My food was pretty good. It was served hot and seasoned well. The service was great. An older lady took our order and made sure we were taken care of. Others in my group didn't care for their food but did say that the service was good. They allow smoking in one area and as someone very allergic to smoke by the time we left, my eyes were watering, and my nose was running.

What an unexpectedly exceptional meal! The hash browns were our favorite part, but we also really liked the pancakes. The biscuits are so fluffy. And the service is fantastic. A+!

We were passing through and wanting something other than fast food. So glad we sought this cafe out. Food was delicious and prices even better.
