The staff was extremely friendly and welcoming! The exhibits were interesting and one of a kind!! The only reason I gave it a four-star review was because the bathrooms were a bit rough. However, other than that, it was a great experience and I recommend!!

We had a nice time here for a hour or so. Staff was very friendly and willing to answer any questions. They had some interesting planes to check out up close. You can walk outside on the actual runway and see planes coming and going.

Interesting museum with a lot to see for such a small space. Staff is kind, welcoming and knowledgeable. Worth a quick stop in when you're leaving the airport. :)

My sister and I went here the other day it was the perfect daytime activity! Everyone there was very knowledgeable and eager to answer any questions we had. Located in two hangars this is also easy to social distance under COVID rules. If you have a rainy day in Kentucky and need a place to kill time, this is it!

I am a pilot, work at the airport and have drove past the museum every day for 6 years and finally decided to take my 2 year old today when he wouldn't stop talking about airplanes. I have to approach this review from 2 perspectives. That of a 2 year old that recently fell in love with planes and that of a 30 year old pilot that has been to several other aviation museums. 2 year old perspective: This is the most amazing place in the world!!!!!! They have planes every where, even hanging from the ceiling! Videos playing all over, 2 hangars of bright colored planes and helicopters to look at. They even have a white car (Austin Healey, very awesome) and a jeep. Best of all, 2 golf carts off in the corner that were clearly not part of the museum, but when you're 2 anything goes. If the golf carts were the highlight of the day, and they were, the runner-ups were the airplane (Cessna 150) and helicopter (no clue, jet ranger???) that kids of all ages can climb in and work the controls. 30 year old perspective. Lots of planes and various aviation memorabilia scattered mostly haphazardly amongst 2 hangars with little if any apparent thought as to why something would be placed where it is. The real headliner of the show, the F14, is tucked away in the back corner where maybe 1/3 of it is really visible. Sure, you are free to walk right up to it, just don't trip over the rolled up carpet or stacks of chairs scattered underneath. Every other museum I've ever been to has places you can walk, and places you can't, clearly marked with ropes or some sort of barrier. They use these boundaries to give the museum some sense of flow, where you should go next, leaving little doubt as to how to navigate the museum and not miss anything. Not here. It's much more of a typical privately owned hangar with lots of cool planes. Someone will tell you not to touch anything, but it's all on the honor system. What really left me disappointed was the general "jankyness" of the place. Planes with engines removed (100% normal, no issues there) but the plywood or plastic covers that block off the engine (again, completely normal and acceptable) are falling out or just sitting on the ground in a "I'll get to it later" kind of fashion. There are areas I wasn't really sure if I should be in or not, in fact I was pretty sure I shouldn't, but then there is a display! My favorite "jankiness" example is the T38 in Thunderbird paint with a tail hook. Nerd pilot me said "hey, that's not right!" Quickly followed by "that doesn't look strong enough to work." Immediately followed by "what the...? That's a garden hoe..." I know we're in Kentucky, but come on. Just take that off. So should you go here? If you have kids that like planes YES! Should you, as an adult that presumably wants to go to a museum for the education factor and to experience a nice museum go here? I won't say no, but there are better ways to spend a few hours.

For $8 this isn't a bad detour. The museum consists of two hangers full of assorted aircraft ranging from military and commercial aircraft. There are even some gliders and helicopters as well. Pleasantly surprised. It is a small museum and little to no exhibits that are interactive. Just static displays but you are able to get right up and close to the aircraft to check them out. Highly recommended for a small trip. Just know that it is a smaller museum and I would suggest skipping the museum except to maybe buy a patch

Well worth the $7 I spent for admission. We saw 2 Blackhawks land at BGA to refuel, three fighter jets, and a very nice WWII exhibit. We were told there will be a B-17 there during the first weekend of October 2010 where the public can pay to go on a ride in it!! I hope we can make it to that.

It was about what we expected, but was something different to do for a few hours. The workers were very knowledgeable and seemed to really enjoy their job. Our one complaint was how hot it was in the hangars.
