This is such a neat little place - a hidden gem you could say. They're inside of an old elementary basement/ old cafeteria. They offer menu items, weekday buffets, and tasty sweet treats. Prices are reasonable and worth it. Their social media lets you know what their rotating items are. The staff are amazing and so nice - true southern charm! The food is delicious but the Fridays buffets are really a treat! All items are made in house and so fresh. Definitely a place I would recommend checking out!

I think this place speaks to me because it reminds me of the elementary schools of my youth. First and foremost I am thrilled that this building is still in use! I decided on a whim that I would run out here for a weekday lunch. I decided on the BBQ sandwich and potato salad. It was a great, tender tasty pork bbq with a good dollop of coleslaw on top. The potato salad could have used a bit of mustard, but that is just me being a mustard lover. LOLYou order at the counter and the food is brought to you. Everyone is friendly and the service was fast, I had no problem eating here on my lunch hour.I loved the location. It is actually in an old elementary school lunchroom. They have a pretty extensive menu on the blackboard. There were several things on the menu I want to try so I will be back.I saw that they had handicapped accessible entrance but did not use it. The hours are pretty limited so I would double check their social media before heading that way.

The food was good, warm and fresh. Service was amazing for a place where you order at the counter. I enjoyed the atmosphere and Christmas music! Overall good experience and I'll be back!

What a unique place! The original place we wanted to try during our travels from Ohio to Tennessee was closed due to a family emergency so we came here instead.It's actually in the basement of an old elementary school. It appears that the school is still operational but it's not. They do antique sales in the school on some frequency.The "lunch room " is at the back of the building. There's plenty of signage.When you walk in there's a counter that has premade food- like slices of cake and containers of pimento cheese, ham salad, etc. The board on the wall has the vast menu. There wasn't a special listed on this day and the lady behind the counter (who was very nice) said they also had fresh green beans that weren't listed on the board. You placed your order there at the counter and then they bring it to you.My husband ordered a grilled chicken wrap with the green beans. I ordered a grilled pimento cheese sandwich on wheat with the green beans.Both sandwiches were cut in half so we both ate 1/2 of each. Both were delicious! The green beans were delicious and probably the best we ever had. They were roasted and then finished on a griddle. They were very moist but not greasy. We highly recommend them.The food came out quickly and hot. Frank, who brought the food to us, was very nice, too.The place was very cute with nice decor. We are so very happy we were able to find it. The service was great and the place was very pleasant. We left there saying "What a great find!"

This place is adorable. Used to be a school cafeteria the food is fresh and delicious.

They have the best Country Ham Salad that I have ever had! I can't wait to pick up a pint to bring home again. The ham is grown and cured locally. It is a real treat! As much as I like this little place, it is very expensive for lunch.

The food is good, not totally great but really good, the service is good, the ambience is fine. It is a great place for people in the area to dine and it is a good destination spot if you want to get out of the town of Lexington and into the town of Athens for a wee bit.

Best Bloody Mary and Reuben in Lexington! What a hidden gem. Super nice folks. Order at the counter. First of many visits to come! Pulled pork sandwich also great.

Delicious food, great atmosphere! Cannot recommend this little spot enough! Just off I75, Lunch 11-2 Monday through Friday. Lunch Buffets on Wednesdays, Dinner Specials on Mondays, and another Buffet on Friday nights. Full bar and full service catering!

What a great little place. Off the beaten path but not very far. Great food and grade at service.
