This is the 20th year for this very nice local Art Show on the Square. We have attended several times in the past but, I think this was the best one. There were some very good vendors who had some really nice locally made products that we purchased. There were a number of Food Trucks with a nice variety of different foods on the their menus. The Historical Society had a terrific separate section where they had demonstrations and served free samples of some delicious Dutch oven Apple Fritters. Seemed to be very well organized and from the size of the crowd I think it was a success.

This was an amazing festival!! I didn't realize this happened during June in Lagrange but my husband and I happened upon it when we visited Main Street Bourbon Ale House and saw all the signs. This festival is a lot more organized than other art fests I've attended and they had a very large array of different types of Fine Art and Folk Art. It's even juried so you have a vacancies to win that blue ribbon! The layout is very easy to navigate and they use the whole area for art, music, food, and the historical reenactments. If you've never been to Lagrange, visit during the Arts on the Green. Plan to spend a whole day as it takes a while to really peruse through all the art. Plus you can also visit the shops on their Main Street and really take in that small town America feel!

A small juried art show at the square in La Grange. I've been three times and have always enjoyed it. It's the perfect size to do in two or three hours and not spend the entire day. I love going to the shows at St. James, Madison (Indiana), and Bardstown, but all of those shows are pretty sizable and take me all day. They are all also in the fall. This is a nice small show to attend in the summer. It seems to be growing each year and they have room to grow. They have entertainment and food. Many of the booths have shade due to it being located at the courthouse lawn and under the big shade trees. That's a big plus to me. Great small show if you like arts and crafts.

This is a yearly art festival put on by the Oldham County Art society. There were many local artesians there selling their wares. I loved the windchimes/stained glass ornaments booth. Very pretty. There was also a leathermakers booth with some very nice purses, saddlebags (for your horses - yes, this IS horse country), and other items. It smelled devine ;) Of course there were a lot of jewelry booths and photography booths like at other art fairs around as well as food crafts. The ONE thing that would make this the bomb-diggity is if they brought in some CRAFT BEER and FOOD TRUCKS! They did have a food area and they did sell beer but just the good ol standby's. Beer making is a craft folks and it would have been a very nice addition to this fair. I will visit again next year.

Small town annual juried art fair. Includes a Colonial Faire to demonstrate some history of the area. Lots of things to look at, maybe to buy! Food fare today was mostly fair type food. No original food trucks. Beer and wine (okay I think wine) available. Music in the gazebo to listen to while you eat. Goodly amount of shade on this hot day!
