Arthur Murray Dance Studio

I randomly stumbled across this dance studio which then led me to the Facebook page of one of their instructors, Duncan! In Covid I have been working so much from home and I have been SO INSPIRED with his videos!!! I wanted to make an in-person dance lesson appointment and messaged him on FB and he was so receptive and warm. It is the people like this that save us during times of crises! Thank you, Duncan for your Facebook live videos and for being so available to schedule my lesson!

I do not have enough good things to say about this place. It's my home away from home, it seems! The staff are patient, friendly, humorous, dedicated, and have an awesome knack for making newbies feel comfortable even when they're still at the "tripping over two left feet" stage. I've been coming for a little over a year, and I can't believe how much my dancing has evolved in that time. The method works...there's a reason Arthur Murray has been in business so long. Hunter has a good model here - I've seen a few other AM studios in action, and none have the feel of this one. It's like a big family. I almost hate to let the world in on this secret, because each new person takes up a little room on the dance floor...but I can't help it. I love this place and these people too much. Treat yourself - you'll be surprised how good you feel.

We started dancing June 2015. All the teachers here are great and will show you how to do something if you ask. There are plenty of group classes that you can take then your private lesson they go through it in more detail. We have loved our time here and look forward to everyday we go.

So, with the wedding coming up, my parents decided to enroll in some ballroom dancing classes at Arthur Murray. You know, because you never know when a waltz will come on. I gave them a hard time about this, but they seemed excited about it and they seemed to enjoy going every week. They also threw in a lesson with their package so that my dad and I could have a dance lesson to our song for the wedding. And I have to say, I was pretty impressed! We had a private lesson with their instructor and, while I am by no means now a professional ballroom dancer, I feel like we got the hang of it and it was pretty fun. Since future-husband happened to tag along, our instructor also talked us into taking one so that we wouldn't look ridiculous. I think we might need to practice a bit more, and knowing that we live out of town, our instructor even had us video him giving us suggestions on my phone! Only caveat is that it's a little pricey, but I've heard that they regualrly offer new student speicals.

I have nothing bad to say about this place! I received dance lessons as a birthday gift from my boyfriend and we truly, truly enjoy going together. Neither of us have ever had any experience dancing, yet we felt right at home. Very welcoming, instructors are very god at making beginners comfortable, and a very professional atmosphere. I would recommend this to anyone that is even considering it. Just try it. You'll be pleasantly surprised with how comfortable it is

If you want to learn to dance in Lexington there are not many options. However this dance studio has proven to be better than I first expected. Being students of dance, my daughter and I wanted to delve into the world of swing dance. We have been to four classes now and I can say we are truly starting to really learn the moves! I highly recommend Rosie as a teacher. Even though we have not tried it yet because of our schedules, I would also recommend going to the group lessons and the "parties" they host on Friday nights. If you are a member, it is free and you get additional education and learn to dance with different partners (but you don't have to change partners if you do not wish to). It is a little bit of an investment but I believe it is worth it. PS-since I was a little child, I have always danced every day of my life... Even if it's just around the kitchen or the living room...dancing keeps you young!

First class down, and many more to go! We originally came here because we were gifted with a groupon, but after the first class-we had to sign up! The staff was welcoming and friendly, our instructor, Lexie, was knowledgeable and helpful (and very patient haha), and even the other students were joyful and motivating. Everyone in the building had a smile on their face having a great time! Looking forward to the next class already!

Wow! 1st time trying this with my fiancé. Always wanted to learn to dance. Hunter was phenomenal! Looking forward to future lessons!

We've been going to Arthur Murray for a couple of weeks now and I am very happy with the experience. Like most guys, I don't dance much at all and my rhythm leaves a lot to be desired. My fianceé is much better. The instructors at Arthur Murray have been great teaching us lots of new steps and working us through the different dances. They have all been very patient and helpful. I'm definitely getting better.We signed up for a series of weekly private lessons and included with the package are daily scheduled group lessons along with a Friday night dance party. Staff is excellent, especially Chris and Hunter. New students get a private class for free. Sales pressure is high to sign up for a series of classes, but the results speak for themselves.

I highly recommend coming to this Studio! Great Instructors and a phenomenal place to come to. The private lessons give you a great opportunity to learn at your own pace and comfort level. Each session is customized to teach you a new dance step and to reinforce your current skills. The group classes give you a superb opportunity to dance with other students and get a better "feel" of how to lead or follow depending on your interest Please feel free to come join us..
