The Good: swim instruction, sells goggles and other swim wear, reasonable pricing, structured swim classes, very nice customer service. The Bad: nothing I can findThe Rundown: this place offers swimming classes for all ages from 4 months old to adults. The classes are small and focused on the swimmer in a fun environment for the children. They teach through games and the staff is really nice and keep it a great learning environment. They have a great seating area for the parents where you can watch the instructors and your children. If you forgot something at home don't worry because they have everything you could need there. They also have showers for you to clean off with soap and body wash provided. The Impression: a great place to teach your children to swim or to learn yourself that is set in a structured safe environment.

We have loved AquaTots from the very beginning. We've had three kiddos go through their program and have seen so much growth in their understanding and skill of swimming versus another program we had tried in town. Highly recommend. Worth the investment.

We are really loving this place. It's nice, big, clean, and in general a great program. We got our child's first class for FREE. After the lesson, we got a progress report and confirmation she was in the right class. We decided to sign her up for 2 months worth of classes for 2 days a week. We paid a $35 registration fee and we pay $90 per month. While your child is in class you can watch through the glass while sitting in comfortable chairs. There is also a Hub where you can buy supplies and snacks if you need. Anyways, so good so far.

The place is amazing for birthday parties. They handle everything (as much as I can guess from a parent attendee--not hostess). The facility is very clean. Lifeguards are on top of their game. Changing stalls are very convenient and well stocked with supplies. Bring your own towel and flip flops. Also, don't forget your goggles. The chemicals in the pool irritated my son's eyes (as well as a few other kids). Something else (chemicals or the float also irritated my son's skin (he had a very itchy rash on his belly). The extra strong chemicals need to be better balanced--only reason this place didn't get five stars!

We have been with Aqua-Tots for 3 years (not including during the pandemic). Here are the pros and cons:Pros:1. Excellent annual price when you purchase their BOGO offer during the holidays2. Classes have a max. of 4 kids per or you can choose 1:1 private classes3. Separate seating area for families4. Change rooms, seating area, bathrooms are regularly cleaned5. Water temperature is very comfortable so kids are not freezing6. Parents can monitor progress through the app7. Friendly staff8. Easy to schedule classes and request make-up classes (if you are not level 7+)9. Franchise that accepts aquatots reciprocity so if you move from one city to another, you can still continue from where you left off (just have to pay new registration fee)10. Offer great promotions - free towels, snack punch cards, etc. when you buy a package dealCons1. No private or individual shower rooms at the Lexington location compared to a few other locations2. Level 7+ make-up classes are difficult to schedule (esp. if you're already on a 2 classes/week schedule)3. Takes weeks/months for level 6+ students to be evaluated by a master instructor to graduate to the next level4. Several classes are scheduled at the same time so the actual pool space for each class is tight

Love the methodology of how they teach and how they break down the different components of swimming, beginning with safety techniques! Recent staffing issues and last minute changes in policies have made some of the logistics frustrating but the staffing issues have seemingly resolved themselves and hopefully continue to improve with the new facility being opened. The price is quite significant but typically the product has been worth it. I've witnessed the staff being trained at many different Levels and can attest to the thoroughness of their training. We've been with Aquatots for 4 years now, traveling from Georgetoen and even through COVID would recommend this as a preferred place for my children to learn swimming.

This place is horrible. They force your children to go under water when they are not comfortable and it traumatizes them. Also, children are stuck in the same level for a really long time.

BEWARE! I cannot even begin to explain how upset I am with what is happening at this business which claims to be dedicated to our children. What they are doing to my family and so many other hundreds of families is a true shame and as shady as it gets. Unless you have tons of free time and tons of money to give away or have stolen from you, then this isn't the place for you. We are currently under a signed contract as we have been for the past 1.5 years. All of a sudden via email last week, they chose to disregard said contact and make a bogus policy change regarding lessons (currently not sure how this could possibly be legal but am investigating) with a few short weeks left in the year while robbing my children of hours of instruction time and hundreds of dollars. Good luck ever getting a class time or getting to talk to anyone that knows what is going on or can give you accurate information. The quality of the swim instructors has definitely plummeted as well and not worth the high price tag. It is not the same place it once was, and I encourage you to disregard older reviews. All I wanted was for my two children to be strong swimmers, but after 1.5 years (going 2 times a week) they stilI can't swim. The program is geared towards keeping you sucked in and taking your money as long as possible. I am mad at myself for letting this go on as long as it has. I think Aqua-Tots will lose lots of customers with their new sudden policy changes and they deserve it. After continuing to support them and the owners all through the Covid shutdown, this is how we are paid back for our commitment to water safety for our family. I would highly suggest another means for your child to learn how to swim.

Love the coaches, despise the makeup rules. We pay for semi private lessons so when we have to make up a lesson bc they canceled (which happens often!) or because my little one is sick. I have to either use two makeups for a private which I don't want or "wait" until another semi private opens up for her to fill in, which never happens. The coaches are amazing, but dealing with the office staff is ridiculous.Edit: manager called me and she was very polite and the policy is still the same(we never cancel classes so I must not have been informed of the new policy). She found a spot so we can reschedule the class we want to miss next week.

Auqua tots has varied covid 19 protocols depending on the day of the week or what staff member is there that day. My wife and I live in winchester and were recommended to go to aqua tots for our 8 month old daughter by a friend who went just a few months ago. Her and her husband were both allowed to the swim lesson with only 1 child. We both came to experience our daughters first swim lesson and they only allowed 1 parent in the building because of covid 19. I told the front desk worker that our friends had both parents and she told me that wasn't true but that is false. With their day to day changes in covid 19 protocols I would call before bringing both parents so that your not driving 40 minutes to the other side of lexington to unfortunatly arrive on a day their protocols only allow 1 parent
