Nope. Substandard service, average breakfast you can get anywhere. I don't usually post sub-3 ratings but that's an honest score that is the best I can offer. Went with young son and didn't order anything unusual. Took quite a while and it was a challenge to get coffee topped off. Meh. So many other places in the area I can't imagine giving them a third try. That's right. This last attempt was to give it a second go at being even slightly over average.

This is a must if you are in Glasgow. Real, authentic southern cooking. It's not fancy but the food is fantastic. I had the fried chicken, pinto beans, cole slaw and cornbread and everything was delicious. I took a piece of chocolate pie to go and wish I had grabbed a couple more slices. Simply fantastic!!!

Buy local.Annie's is another delightful small town greasy spoon place to grab a great breakfast. I have the great Fortune of traveling to smaller towns. I built in time so that I can grab a local breakfast. Getting the same meal each time let's me develop some type of sliding scale that's just for me.Scrambled eggs with ham and cheeseHash browns or whatever their version of potatoes happens to beCrispy baconHalf and half sweet tea with a dash of lemonade if they have itAnnie's gets in 11 on the 10 scale. Really nice ladies working there and a tasty hearty breakfast just set me up for my success at my meetingBuy local. It matters.

We were just passing through and arrived late for lunch, around 1:15 They were out of catfish and fried potatoes. We had chicken strips which were amazing. The vegetables were good too. Good size portions, clean place, friendly staff. They are only open till 2:00. Will have to come back sometime and try breakfast.

You want good country cooking? Annie's has got that good country cooking. This is where the locals go. This is where you go to get that good, homemade cooking that feeds your soul. With a rotating menu, you can expect to find something different each day of the week. I never did get around to getting breakfast from here, but I've had lunch here on several occasions and it was always good. Service is great. You feel like part of the family when you're here.

Annie was, of course, at her restaurant when we stopped by for a late breakfast. Affordable with plenty of true southern options, you really can't go wrong. The best part, in my mind, was Annie bringing us out some of her homemade sausage patties. Sooo good! Then, as we were leaving, I caught her making some sort of griddle cake. She generously offered to give us some and heaven found its way to my mouth! All was delish and I even took a piece of butterscotch pie to go. We will be back!

You get a lot for what you spend and it's good food too. It's good food if you're in a rush and on the way to work.
