I'm ok to go to Heaven because I'm certain these desserts are there. Oh my sweet, baby brownie, I've found the gluten-free jackpot. If you're a Celiac, you've probably said "it's not bad for being GF" after taking a bite of a GF version of one of your favorites. I'm certain no one has ever said that in this bakery. They're not good because they're GF, they're just freaking GOOD. I got two types of donuts, an oatmeal cream pie, a double chocolate brownie, and two versions of the Chewy Louie, which is bread pudding made from cake. I'm just... speechless.

So, we needed to get some gluten free desserts to celebrate a family birthday. We looked online and Annie May's was the one place that kept coming up time and time again. Looking at the menu we simply could not make up our minds. Fortunately they have a "favorites box" do we got two of those. We also thought we would try the pretzels. When we brought out the desserts we all wanted a little of everything. And it was all fantastic. My favorite was the chocolate cupcake and the chocolate cake. My wife loved the strawberry cake and the oatmeal cream pie. We have another birthday to celebrate with family soon and will likely be back.

What a treasure for those with food sensitivities. This small bakery/cafe is chock full of all things sweet for those with food sensitivities. All of the decadent offerings are free of gluten, wheat, eggs, milk, peanuts, tree nuts (except coconut), soy, shellfish, and sesame. There is a nostalgic feel to the cafe with pink walls and black and white checkered floor. All of the staff were super friendly and helpful. The cafe is open on Wed-Fri 10- 6 and Sat 19-2, and their goods are sold in local Rainbow Blossom Markets. Parking is available in front of the cafe and along Frankfort Avenue.

Good stuff, for sure. It's hard to fake "real food" with vegan options, but they ladies sure give it one hell of a run. The oatmeal cream pie is delicious and highly recommended. It's on their sign, and it's not a lie: world famous. White chocolate and lime was delicious as well. Pretzel was okay, but would have been awesome if warm. Ranch jalapeño was good, spicy, but good.The only thing I didn't really like was the sunbutter brownie. Just a tad dry and just seemed...off. You know, from other non-vegan brownies. Ok, the expensive mark strikes again. I can't express how much I think it sucks that places like Annie May's has to be expensive because the ingredients cost more AND the time to cook vegan options takes more time. Worth going, they make some cool stuff and the ladies who were working were friendly and genuine. Would go back again, definitely.

My hubby is gluten free and i belong in a bubble! Annie May's Sweet Cafe has something for GF, vegan and an understanding of other allergy needs. I came to get some treats to congratulate him on a recent accomplishment and found his favorite cake: pineapple upside down cake gluten free! Since I am allergic to pineapples I haven't ever been able to make it for him because of my limitations. They had the deserts to make anyone's mouth water and i got a pumpkin spiced cupcake with cinnamon frosting and it was the best pumpkin cupcake i have ever had!! So full flavored and spiced like the pies I adore, definitely used pumpkin filling and made it very moist and yummy mouthfeel! I will be back! All the exclusions of their allergen ingredients and they would still be an excellent bakery!

How refreshing to have a gluten free bakery in the Ville!My sister and I stepped in here around 2:20 on a Friday and it was empty. But as we looked at the baked goods, four other women stepped in here.Being Derby week and all, they had all kinds of Derby-themed treats such as a mint julep cupcake, cookies, etc. We got a chocolate chip cookie, a sugar cookie, and a vanilla cupcake with strawberry icing. I would've literally tried everything there though! They even had gluten free macaroons!!Some of the items are vegan, which is a plus! These are such fun options for adults or kids with gluten allergies.The girl who got our treats was pretty unsmiley. I'm not shocked as other reviews on here definitely mentioned okay service. There was a different girl at the register though and she was super nice and smiley. It was refreshing!It's not a huge space. There are a few tables in here. They've got pink walls and black and white checkered floors. It had a very retro vibe about it.They also have actual food here. I wouldn't mind coming again to try them. The treats were great! So delicious and soft!Parking is kinda tricky. You can park on the side of the building, but we parked out front because we didn't see the side lot ahead of time. The front parking is right on the street and is kind of a headache to back out of. I'm not sure how busy this place gets but they certainly get lots of customers. With gluten free issues abounding these days, I hope to see more of these types of establishments in Louisville.

Great sweets...but the lack of consistent hours and lack of flexibility make it difficult to love this place. If you order online...it's 6 days before you can get what you order. If there is such a high demand...then why not better hours...if there is no demand...then why do customers have to wait 6 days???
