Al's New York Pizza

We stopped in last night to grab a light bite and just to get out of the car for a while on our way through WV from St.Louis to Maryland. We had never heard of this restaurant before and had zero expectations. We could have equally picked any number of other places.Man! Are we glad that the fates brought us to this place. Loved the atmosphere. Loved the food. Loved chatting with the owner and staff.Thanks much!

Has been closed since 2021 and it wasn't that great to begin with, the people were very rude, no doubt that they were originally from NYC

Food and service were very good. We enjoyed the jalapeño poppers and a 10inch with several toppings. Appreciated that they offered by the slice although we were definitely in for the whole pie. Waitress was very attentive although a little cold inside though the high has been around the 30's this week.

Fresh white pizza pie is a must try. Pizza molto buona. Nice people and really good food.

If you're looking for inexpensive pizza - quick bite, drunchies, don't want to drop a ton of money - Al's New York Pizza is a great choice.Tasty pizza, great service, short wait times. The vegetarian pizzas here are terrific; the eggplant and banana peppers combo is a winner. The dough is incredibly soft. You can do to go or eat in. The pizzas are all the same quality.I'll absolutely be back. This is one of the better options in Costa Mesa / Newport. Try this spot before going elsewhere (e.g., Laventinas).

Real New York style pizza! We got one cheese, one pepperoni, and , of course, one sausage. All three were delicious. I would say the sausage was pretty spicy so remember that when ordering. This is now our go to Pizza place.

I've lived in WV for 30 years, and have NEVER found a perfect NY pizza here...until now! OMG! Perfect NY pizza...and conoli too! Good as Luigi's in Little Italy! Al is from "da Bronx," where they KNOW how to make pizza. We'll be back!

Best pizza in town. Worth every penny and we can't wait to go again. We didn't eat in but if we were that would have been no issue. The seating area was clean and spaced well enough the you didn't feel packed in.

Tucked away in an unassuming little mall area, this pizza place is a GEM. The restaurant seemed like a genuine small family ran pizza restaurant. The food was amazing. The Garlic knots were soft with just the right amount of garlic. They were served with WARM marinara sauce which made all the difference.The pizza itself was delicious as well. We got pepperoni and sausage on our pie. The sausage was a spicy Italian and the pepperoni was very flavorful. We basically had a cheese pull with every bite even into our second piece! We will definitely be back

If I could rate my experience 6/5 I would. First time ever there and we were greeted with very friendly service and faces and a wonderful quaint NY ambiance. The garlic knots were pretty good, the pizza was amazing, best in Huntington /barboursville by far that I've had. Their pepperoni is jam packed with flavor and very good, their sausage isn't overly packed with flavor but it carry's a really good spice with it. Great food for the price. And the best thing? We were a little full for dessert, our server mentioned they really enjoyed the cannolis so we needed up getting some anyway, they were THE BEST cannolis I've ever had, and I've had several authentic Italian goods like this. AMAZING EXPERIENCE.
