Agave & Rye - New Albany

I always enjoy the ambience and the food. Menu is unique, and always a flavorful gastronomical experience! If you're looking for a "run of the mill" Mexican food restaurant this is not it. If you want a nice spin on south of the border you can't miss this! I've been to 3 of their locations and have been er been disappointed.

This review is a little tardy. We dined at Agave and Rye twice during Taco Week. My wife and I had lunch Monday. We enjoyed it so we brought one of our grandsons on Saturday. As usual, A&R hit it out of the park with their Taco Week specials. They offered 3 different tacos, one being a vegetarian option. I personally did not try the vegetarian Taco, but I did have the Basic Betty and Jalapeño Popper tacos. My grandson said he really enjoyed the vegetarian Taco. Both my wife and I LOVED the Jalapeño Popper Taco. The Basic Betty was very good too, but the Popper Taco was outstanding. Unfortunately, on our Monday visit we arrived at 11am when they opened. We were seated in the dining room. The music was obnoxiously loud. We asked if they would lower the volume as we were the only customers in the dining room at this point. We were told they would turn it down. I do believe they lowered the volume but it was still way too loud to be able to carry on a conversation.Both visits we had the same server. On Monday he must have had a hard time getting his day started. His service was adequate, but it could have been better. However, on our second visit, he did an excellent job.Food 5 stars. Ambiance 3 stars. Service 4 stars.

The new menu includes smaller size tacos and an option for a flight of three for $13.50 which is awesome because I can never decide. The wave runner features salmon and it's delicious! The Korean chicken one is good too! Pineapple jalapeno marg for the win!

The new taco flight is an awesome way to sample different tacos at a low price point. The serving size was very big and everything came out great!

Our waiter, Jeremy, was absolutely incredible!! He was such a fun personality (probably because he's a fellow Michigander ) and was full of great suggestions! He helped me secure the amazing skull glasses that I wanted to bring home by taking my side in my Valentine's Day argument with my husband. But truly, hands down, he was one of the best waiters we ever had!!The tacos were amazing! So many incredible combinations and the flight option allowed us to try multiple combos. The Filthy Fajita and the Gangsta were really good. And the margaritas were to die for. Highly, highly recommend! And make sure to ask for Jeremy! He will take amazing care of you!!

Great spot. Cool art on the walls. Food and drinks are great. The Birria items are good. I had the grilled cheese and my son had the burrito and it was great

Service is excellent food is good and they didn't take long to get it to me. I will definitely be back.Brison was an excellent server he suggested dessert something I normally do do but it was fire. Oreo Fluff

Drinks and Tacos are awesome! Will be back for Taco Tuesday specials! Our server, Bison, was great. The menu has a lot of choices and he took time to explain.

JEREMY WAS THE BEST !!!!!! Would come back just to hang & chat with him Tacos were a great addition to the experience!
