Abstract Distractions

I love all of the handmade items here, especially during Christmas time. You can get gifts for sooo many people here. And the paint parties are SO fun, Shellie is a hoot and is so very talented!

Downtown Cynthiana is slowly booming again, and this store is another great addition to this sweet little town. Located on Main Street right across from the courthouse, Abstract Distractions has a variety of artwork and gifts handmade by locals. You'll find candles, woodburned signs (this delighted me!), jewelry, paintings, natural skincare products, lighted wine bottles, and other funky things. The artists that sell their work here can also make custom decor upon request (at least, some of them do). It's not just a store -- there's also a separate space with tables and easels for painting parties or studio time. Abstract Distractions offers painting parties for people interested in creating their own piece of home decor art. The place is a bit small, but packed with creativity. I'm excited!

Everything in this store is truly unique. They also do custom orders and I swear they are magicians! Anything you ask them to make they knock out of the park.
