I am absolutely sobbing, this is the greatest Thai place in this area, and it is so far from where I live!I remember driving past this place one day and made a mental note to try it. I had the day off last week and decided to come here and finally try it.I ordered the Pad See Yeu (stir fried wide rice noodles served with Thai broccoli and egg, with chicken), chicken satay, and Kanom Jeeb Pork dumplings. Even though it appeared they were short staffed, the lady who took care of us was handling the customers like a champ and never let it felt like anyone was waiting for too long. The food was absolutely incredible, my friend ordered her entree as "thai hot" and they did not blink an eye, it was AMAZINGLY hot, like I had one tiny piece of noodle and was like oh OK Im good! They are not playing around! The food was so good and fresh. I am going to have to figure out how to move closer to this place because right now I am going to be spending all my money on gas to get here!

A Taste of Thai was a nice find while spending a few hours in Crestwood. But heed the warning we got from someone who overheard my friends and me making lunch plans while inside a local store: A Taste of Thai is not shy with the heat.We were able to easily get a table for lunch, and while it's pretty basic, I went with chicken pad Thai. Our waitress also warned us about spiciness. She was right that I'm a heat wimp. I asked for just a bit of heat. And even with that, this still has a good heat to it. Overall I liked this dish -- perfect for a winter day.A Taste of Thai was also very affordable. I got an entree, appetizer and soda for about $20.A solid dining choice in Crestwood.

I'm kind of proud of myself for trying different things this time. We ordered the Pork Dumplings appetizer which was good but the sauce is what made it a good switch. For my entree I had the Kao Pad Tum Yum Talay and it was very good, it has a rice base with mushrooms, red pepper, scallops, shrimp & mussels. The spice range is 0-4 and I've settled on a 2.5 the majority of the time. Spice level 3 is doable but it's a lot, 2.5 is hot enough to enjoy the heat without constantly needing a drink. The owner/manager/waitress (she wears many hats) always cautions about the spice level but don't let her scare you too much.

We went back for the 2nd. Time. Their food is easy too hot. Their 0 is a 4. It doesn't make sense of you're asking for a 0 and it ends up being a 4. The owner told me the number represents how many scoops of chili powder. That's total bull. My mouth has burned both times. They make excuses vs. Listening when you tell them their food is too hot.

This place is really nice and the food is fantastic but I highly recommend that you figure out the heat level before spending a lot of money for a meal. If you like hot but haven't ordered here before then start with half which isn't on their picture scale. They add their chili pepper in teaspoons so half is actually half a tsp. I like spicy food and I order my heat level at 1 tsp. My wife gets 0. The scale is .5-4

This restaurant has been popular in Oldham county for some time now, and I can certainly see why! Every dish is carefully crafted, seriously, bringing a taste of Thailand to our old Kentucky home. Recently, I went with a friend and I ordered the Pad Kee Mow. Their spice level ranges from 1 to 4, and having been to other Thai restaurants in Louisville, I asked for a level 2. My waitress tried to talk me out of it, suggesting I do a level 1. I told her I eat spicy stuff all the time, and then I'm from Southern California so heat of no issue to me.Y'all, I cannot stress this enough. If the waitress suggests a heat level different than what you were trying to order, heed, that advice. My plate of noodles came out, and they looked scrumptious, and the waitress told me , "Welcome to Thailand" The noodles were delicious, but my God they were spicy as hell. My mind was willing, but my body (specifically my GI) was weak. I ate about half the dish and I took the rest home for my husband who loved it! The chicken skewers, and the fried tofu are also fantastic, I cannot recommend those enough!
