What more can be said about this beautiful place? The best I can do is to add my chorus of praises to those of others. Experienced two nights of their hospitality recently. Hubby and I chose the Somewhere in Time Suite and we were not disappointed at all. Yes, it's pricy, but you don't choose this beautiful venue because you just want a clean bed for the night. You come here for the experience of beauty, grace and impeccable service from a bygone era. The ambiance is -- well, photos simply don't do it justice, and the food.... ahhh the food. Then there is the service. If you've ever wanted to know how the other half lives ... here's your chance for a nice sneak peek packed in a get away weekend. Everything has been thought of. And then some. So come and relax and enjoy. Escape the chaos of everyday life and step into A Storybook ... A Storybook Inn. Where you can write your own chapter of memories.

I love visiting B&Bs but this is one of my favorite discoveries in the last few years. Everything about this place is enchanting. Careful attention to every detail shows in each gleaming corner. The breakfast is extraordinary and the rooms are comfy, beautiful and spacious. Romantic, relaxing and a feast for all the senses!

We came here for 2 nights in the Somewhere in Time suite and it was simply wonderful. The suite is beautiful, clean, and comfortable. There is a sitting room, bedroom with king bed, walk in closet, and restroom with double vanities, shower, and whirlpool tub - built for 2! The breakfast room is picturesque and the food provided was delicious and plentiful. They also worked to accommodate our dietary restrictions. We can't wait to return!

Such a wonderful Valentine's Day weekend spend at the Storybook Inn. My husband and I stayed in the "Gone With the Wind" (one of my favorite books/movies) themed suite. I know "Casablanca" and "My Fair Lady" are a few other the other suite themes. Elise, the proprietor, was very friendly and a wonderful hostess! She gave us a tour and brief history of the Inn upon our check in as well as collected info from us about our breakfast preference for breakfast the following morning. There is beautiful piano in the living room area, a small den with lots of books and movies you can utilize during your stay. Lovely artwork throughout the Inn, which is so nice, especially for an art lover like myself. My husband and I enjoyed the fresh baked cookies waiting for us in our suite as well as the small refrigerator full of water and seltzer water and fresh ice outside in a common area upstairs for guests. The "Gone With the Wind" theme was perfect. Lots of great things including paintings and photos of the movie characters throughout the suite. Also copies of the movie and soundtrack in the room! It was neat to see an original copy of the book on the fireplace mantle upon entering the suite!! Wow! The breakfast was fantastic and can't speak more highly of the staff. Very impressive and hopefully we will visit again soon!

My husband and I loved this b&b! It is beautifully decorated allergies or preferences are graciously and meticulously accommodated, it's comfortable, in a great location with beautiful grounds and stunning landscapes nearby, the staff and I owner are the perfect balance if friendly without being intrusive. The Inn is also the prefect balance between a B&B and a hotel. It's all the best of both and we couldn't be more satisfied.

By far the best B&B we've visited. Impeccable service, immaculate grounds, opulent decor & first class service. The breakfast far exceeded our expectations. Our host, Tiffany was so gracious. Such attention to detail throughout the property.

Everything about this B&B property and experience is impeccable! The mansion has been restored to the highest standards of décor and amenities. The daily breakfast service will be the culinary highlight of your trip, no matter where else you dine for other meals in the Lexington and surrounding area - it is unmatched in our B&B experience at places throughout the country. The service provided by Elise and her team there is of the highest and most competent order. We will never miss an opportunity to stay at A Storybook Inn whenever we are traveling anywhere close to that area.

My husband and I recently stayed at A Storybook Inn for the second time, where we spent a few blissful days being pampered by Elise Buckley and her remarkable staff in the most glorious surroundings. We chose the Gone with the Wind Suite for this stay, and it was just so beautiful, romantic, and comfortable. The king bed is sumptuous with fine linens and pillows, and we slept like babies each night. The bathroom is replete with lovely accessories, towels, and the comfiest terry robes. Each morning, we were served fantastic food based on fresh, natural, local ingredients that was not only incredibly delicious...it was presented so beautifully, and the portions were very generous...and it was served with such grace. The beauty of the inn itself is second to none, and Ms. Buckley has overlooked absolutely no detail to ensure her guests are surrounded in true Southern hospitality. Every space in the Inn is impeccably thought out. The grace with which we were welcomed in every aspect of our visit left us so relaxed and refreshed. We just cannot wait to return...and we will.

We stayed at the Storybook Inn for 4 days with my son daughter-in-law and 2 grandsons. The boys thought it was magical and I thought it was amazing. We stayed in the guest house which was perfect. It has 3.5 bedrooms and 3.5 bathrooms, kitchen, living-room...open concept. It was immaculate!! The beds were the most comfortable I have ever slept in. The kitchen was fully stocked with coffee and tea. Water bottles in the frig. Everyday when we got back from outings there was warm ho-made goodies waiting for us. Elise is the Inn keeper and she strives for excellence and she does not fall short. She actually exceeded all our expectations. My daughter in law is gluten intolerant and my grandson has multiple allergies. Elise was so accommodating. Everything she made was beyond delicious! Breakfast was served in the conservatory. The view of the gardens was beautiful. The only bad thing I can say is we all gained weight because we couldn't stop eating...but it was well worth it. The guest house was stocked with several games and a great selection of movie DVDs to watch. Great for families. If you are planning on attending Keenland races or Derby I highly recommend you book early. This Inn was voted as one of the most romantic Inns in America. Great place to celebrate anniversaries or just a get away. Staying at Storybook Inn makes you feel you stepped into a fairytale with a wonderful ending that you don't want to end.
