So my mom swears by rolled ice cream! She had it when she was on vacation in Miami. She was so excited to see it here in the middle of the mall. She loves this stuff! I'm dairy free so she is the reviewer here. Fresh fruit on top too. It looked amazing. It is pricey but she said it's so worth it. It's pretty neat to see how they make it. The line was super long and the process takes some time to get your ice cream.

Innocently wandering through the mall we came upon an amazing sight of ice cream being spread on a frozen plate by a man with muscular forearms. So, it's basically a thin layer of ice cream poured on a below zero freeze top and then spread and using putty knives scraped and rolled, put into a cup with a few toppings....viola!!A yummy treat from Thailand. It was good and fun to eat and watch being made.

I missed the bus... I just got back from Thailand and they have street vendors selling fresh made ice cream JUST like this! So I thought... why not open one in Louisville!!! We love ice cream here! Rain or shine, we get ourselves some cold creamy goodness or those beautiful pops on Bardstown road. This is going to kill it in Louisville. I check good old Yelp for Louisville and what do I find... this place here... and what's more? It happens to be excellent and perfectly executed by the dude who made mine.So they have this freezing cold platter that they pour the cream onto, and the ice cream man uses his agility and brawn to chop and mix and smear and grind the cream against the platter. As he's doing this, the cream is thickening until it's a sheet of good and righteousness the likes of which are fit to fend off even the likes of Melkor and Ungoliant. He then scrapes it into several beautiful rolls and delicately places them into a cup like a newborn into her mothers arms for the first time. He gazes over with a mist of sweat on his brow and asks me, "and what toppings would you like?" For the fixed price of the ice cream, you are allowed three toppings. I chose a single strawberry to garrison my matcha green tea ice cream tower. He sliced it with the skill of a modern surgeon using an ancient Japanese katana that was won by his ancestor in the Sino-Japanese war and manifested it atop my sweet treat. This is what my experience was like... how was yours? Five stars, but I wish they had sweetened condensed milk because that ish is the bomb on top of matcha green tea ice cream yo!Try this place... bring a friend, treat your date, or beg your momma to bring you. If you do not, a puppy becomes sad. Do you... hate puppies? Is that the person you want to be defined as?

In my rush to get through the mall before the Christmas shoppers left church and descended enmasse, I saw this mall kiosk near Dillard's and thought, "Hmmmm, 0 Degrees, quick lunch?"Now don't laugh! They had fresh fruit and dairy, two of the four (five?) food groups and chocolate! Which is a sixth for sure!I wasn't sure what I was getting, the pictures had the ice cream rolled up along the sides of the cup and it was $6.59, plus $0.50 for another ingredient. See, I came around the back of the kiosk, not the front, so as usual I was totally clueless. I know when I buy frozen yogurt with a fruit/candy bar and the weigh it, it's about $6.50 (I swear chopped nuts weigh a lot!), so okay, they are making me rolled ice cream stuff with fresh fruit. After paying, I walk down in front of this big plexiglass and the ice cream chef starts pouring out fresh cream on a cold metal plate (must be 0°) and chopping up fresh strawberries and chocolate in it. Cool! And he's chopping and folding and mixing - think hibachi meets cold stone creamery! And then he neatly spreads this wonderful strawberry chocolate mixture into a neat square (that's when my senses take over and I start ed my video) and rolls the newly made ice cream into neat rolls and places it into my cups. I get to pick out three fresh toppings (no nuts - probably because if but allergy people).I'm out in my car enjoying my new treat. It's a lot and I should be able to get it home to enjoy the rest of it later!!

There is now one of these in the Greentree Mall in Clarksville. I am not sure if my admiration is due to watching the process or the taste of utimately the freshest ice cream I have ever tasted. Be prepared to pay for the show at $7 a bowl of circular ice cream made before your eyes. That does come with two toppings though.

I guess it doesn't really make sense to eat ice cream while the outside temperature is well below freezing but when I read about this place, I had to try it and I became one of those people (no judgement here :).This style of ice cream is called rolled ice cream or Thai stir-fried ice cream (supposedly that's where they came up with this preparation method). My family and I had tried it while visiting Chinatown in Chicago and had been very pleasantly surprised by the flavor of it. So when I found out there was a place just like that in Louisvile, I just had to try it!The process of making this ice cream is explained in other Yelp reviews and there are YouTube videos out there that show the process. This place did not disappoint and the ice-cream was very comparable to the one in Chicago. It's hard to explain what makes it so good, but it just tastes fresh and creamy in a way that's different from regular ice cream. In addition, there are many potential ways to customize it. Just select a base (original = vanilla, matcha = green tea or latte), add whatever flavors you like and then the crew goes to work and the ice-cream is literally made before your eyes. For example, you could do:- original base + fresh strawberries = strawberry ice cream- original base + chocolate syrup = chocolate ice cream, etc.I had the matcha base + banana + graham cracker and liked it a lot. The customization possibilities are almost endless and you can also add up to three toppings per cup. Great place, friendly service, excellent ice cream that is unlike the stuff you get at other places in town. We will definitely be back! PS- if you are in a hurry, don't get this ice cream. It takes a few minutes to make it for each person so some patience is needed.- the stand is in the mall but NOT located near the food court, it's on the opposite end near JC Penney.- the price per cup is about $6,50 which isn't cheap but you get a good amount of ice cream, so I feel it's on par with other good ice cream places .
