"Decided to try Lalo during Cincinnati Burger Week. We got there a little early before they opened, 10:30 am, and were waiting in our truck in the parking spot. About a quarter til 11:00 a police car showed up and turned sideways right next to us blocking the road. Several more officers showed up and surrounded a guy that was on the sidewalk in front of the restaurant. Exciting start to our day, lol. A resident said he was likely a drug dealer but who knows! So after that cleared we were able to enter Lalo. I have had a meal next door to Lalo at Hawker's Alley before and really have no issue with the neighborhood as it is a typical downtown area in a larger city. We were greeted as soon as we entered and we were told to sit where we would like. We chose a booth. She brought us a menu and silverware and ice water. They had two choices for Cincinnati Burger Week and I ordered on and my friend ordered the other. I also ordered the pork kimchi dumplings and my friend ordered the zucchini fries & sriracha aioli. Both of these starter items were delicious and next time I would definitely order the zucchini as they were so lightly battered and fried crispy, so good! Nothing wrong with my dumplings either. The burgers were hot and delicious! We also had a shot of Bulleit Bourbon to go with our meal as it was on special as well with the burger week offerings.Our waitress/bartender was great and made sure we were taken care of. We will definitely be back here again to try something else off their menu."

"Awesome food and margaritas. Great service in a pretty eclectic setting. Love the themed shirts everyone wears, and pro wrestling on the TV's is hilarious and appropriate! I had the birria torta and I also ordered an elote taco with steak. Both were incredibly delicious. The torta came with the consommé to dip the torta in and the bread was fresh. The frozen margaritas were delicious and strong! Check them out!!!"

"I arrived mid-afternoon having skipped lunch, and was surprised by the number of people there. Someone was slowly working on a meal while attending a zoom class, but there were several other small groups.Needing a quick fix, this would be a good choice, as my veggie combo appeared in less than ten minutes, and the tortilla chips (which tasted fresh) before I'd even ordered. They had a decent vegetarian menu (though very heavy on the dairy, if you are someone who is trying to avoid that). My combo yielded a small enchilada; frankly I was confused because it had beans inside and not the avocado the menu promised, but there was nothing wrong with it. A substantial cheese and pepper pie and sides of rice and beans, again with cheese on top, completed a very filling combo. And the chips were included. It wasn't some kind of delicate nuanced flavor with a squash blossom on top, but it was satisfying and a large portion size when you count the chips.They seem to have an affiliated restaurant downtown (judging by the similar vegetarian menu), and while I may try that one, I figure this one gave me pretty much what I asked of it."

"I'm in love with their vegetarian burrito! I love it so much I've been back twice. Couldn't be happier with the quality and quantity of the serving. It's fresh and loaded with refried beans, rice, crunchy lettuce and cilantro. I leave off the cheese and sour cream because of my dietary restrictions. I definitely plan to eat here weekly as it's just a few steps from my building. Not only the food is amazing but the service is too. I highly recommend it! Hope to see you there."

"When we're at Churchill Downs, it's hard to resist heading across Central Avenue to El Molcajete for authentic Mexican food. Add friendly service, and you have a great little place for lunch. One of my favorites is Chile Relleno, and El Molcajete has the best I've had in the Ville and the Lex. We shared a small order of Ceviche which proved to be quite large for two, so don't be tempted to order the bigger size. The neighborhood is iffy, but we always seem to find a parking space right by the restaurant.37"

"If you want a bangin' burrito, make your way to Tortillería y Taquería Ramirez because it is AWESOME! The service was very friendly and welcoming, the ambiance was very chill and low key (it's unassuming on the outside but don't let it sway you because these burritos are INCREDIBLE!). My boyfriend and I got horchata and pineapple drinks that were delicious and paired well with our burritos. My boyfriend had the carnitas and I had the barbacoa burrito - both were very delicious. I think next time I will opt for the carnita though just because it's flavor was so epic! 12/10 will be returning and recommending to friends!"

"It's been a hot minute since I was last at Down One, which in my opinion is a bit of a hidden treasure downtown. Since the seating is below street level it can be easily overlooked.But don't sleep on this spot! A group of girls and I went here before seeing a play at Actors Theatre and had such a wonderful time. We got a table on the patio, and our server was very prompt, getting us what we needed considering we had a show to make. And the star of the meal was the Smothered Nachos, with pork or beef (we chose beef), queso, cilantro crema and pico de gallo. I would get these as my entree. They were that good and that filling. And second to the nachos was the awesome Old Fashioned I enjoyed. As you could imagine, Down One knows a thing or two about bourbon. This definitely help set the mood for a fun night. Looking forward to coming back!"

"Really enjoyed our visit to Taqueria San Marcos and can't wait to come back. We ordered four tacos and cheese dip. All the tacos were good and would order again but the best two were the steak and the marinated chicken. The chips and salsa were good. Enjoyed the salsa having some spice and being onion forward. The cheese dip was delicious and thicc (that's not a typo). Our waitress was very friendly and helpful. She recommended great tacos. The vibe inside is cool and unique. I like that they kept the diner look."

"We stopped in here while passing through and saw the hood reviews on yelp. So glad we did. Very authentic, large menu, friendly staff. We had the pastor tacos, queso fundido, carne asada burrito. Everything was top notch. They give chips, a bowl of salsa and then 3 squeeze bottles of green mild sauce, red extra hot and guac sauce. Let me just say the red bottle will literally light you up! If you like authentic Mexican definitely stop in. Side note: most of the staff don't speak much English. My husband speaks a small amount so that was very helpful."

"It was a busy Saturday night. Several large groups were there but we still got served in a decent amount of time. Friendly server. He has his hands full. From the time we placed our food order til it came out to the table was 7 minutes 30 seconds. The food was presented very clean and pretty. We will definitely go back again."

"Tortilleria Garcia is a small, modest restaurant which can be classified as a "Hidden Gem". Originally, I had visited this place several years ago, and really did not think much of it. However, after visiting this place in March, I was hooked! I could not get enough of the Steak Tacos with all the toppings.I loved the way they assemble the food in front of you, so you can see what is going in where. I also love the variety of what they offer: (Frozen Latin treats, drinks, cakes and Flan...which I desperately want to try). I can go in, place my order to one of the friendly cashiers, and in a few minutes, I'm walking out with a taco lunch or dinner. The specials seem really great too, although, I've only had one. If you ever have a chance to try their burrito special on Friday, do so!If Tortilleria Garcia is so good, why did I rate it 4 stars? The answer is consistency -- depending on who assembles your food. There were times when I would have tacos with a decent amount of meat and toppings.There were also times when I barely had any meat or toppings in my taco. Nevertheless, the food is pretty decent, and the staff's friendliness make it a great place to visit. I would encourage anyone who loves Latin food to try this restaurant. It will be worth your while."

"Let's just start with the fact that this place is amazing in general. Nobody is perfect. I am a huge fan of offal cuts, and they have them. They ( usually ) do them right. I've only been let down a couple of times out of the 10-ish times I've been. Sometimes the Tripas are not perfect, but that goes for other places too. Still good though. There's all sorts of crazy good things coming out of this TINY place. The staff is definitely overwhelmed at times. I get it. It's busy for a reason and there's not much room to fill the online orders on top of the small line to get in. Basically everything is solid. The salsa ( self serve ) is LEGIT. Bright colors and balanced flavors. Expect to pay up for things you'd normally get for free like chips and salsa. That's ok. It's all really good and I'd rather pay a few bucks to have something that's tastier than your regular, huge sit down joint. If you're not a super demanding person and don't mind getting up and grabbing your own salsa etc, definitely come here. Not the place to be lazy. Just go up and ask for things. No problem. Great location! Could not be more perfect ."

"I was so glad to see that Cravings was still a very healthy and thriving business. They had some hard times during Covid, but now that things have eased and people are getting out more their business has picked up. When I went by the parking lot was full and folks were standing in line to order. I decided to wait till the rush was over. When I returned I was greeted at the order window by the smiling Byanca who asked what I would like. It didn't take but a second to order my favorite, the Chicken Burrito, with everything. It is a huge, packed with goodies, Burrito. I also asked for the special hot sauce to compliment. They have picnic tables around the outside so since the weather was nice and warm I ate there. They have added additional employees so you will not wait very long for anything you order off the menu. If you enjoy Burritos, this is a must stop in Crestwood."

"It's been a while since I wrote a review so I thought it was time. We chose to have lunch there today and I'm glad we did. When you walk in you are greeted right away by a very friendly employee who shows you to a table of your choice. The lunch has many delicious choices and I chose the MARISCOLANDIA a delicious assortment of scallops, large shrimp and fish cooked with onions, mushrooms, red and yellow bell peppers,zuchinni and yellow squash and served with rice, crisp romaine lettuce and fresh-cut tomato. It was absolutely scrumptious. My wife chose the FAJITA QUESADILLAAn 8-inch flour tortilla filled with your choice of grilled steak or chicken, onions, bell peppers and tomatoes and topped with cheese sauce. Also absolutely delicious. I even tried a Mexican Beer which was terrific.We were served by four different servers and every one of them gave us outstanding service. I cannot say enough good things about Gustavos. If you are looking for a nice place to have lunch, at reasonable prices, this is the place. Can't wait to go back."

"Taco Week visit to La Catrina for lunch. We've been to a couple of their sister restaurants, but this was our first visit here.We started with the Triple Queso Fundido as an appetizer. It was very good, but we would have liked more Pico de Gallo to mix in. It was still good though.Both of us ordered the Taco Week special which was the Taco Eves Mole tacos $2.50 each minimum order of three. The Tacos were very good and had plenty of the chicken filling.My wife had iced tea and said it was very good. I washed down my tacos with a large draft Negra Modelo ($7). Food was very good and our server Jaylen was excellent."

"We decided to try them for lunch on a Saturday. There are three dining rooms each with five large screens. Our chip & salsa arrived with our drink orders. Immediately after placing our orders we were blessed with a complimentary Chicken Soup. This chicken soup was AWESOME! The broth was super delicious. I could have ordered a bowl and ate it for lunch and be filled up. Just in case I'm not being clear, we both LOVED their chicken soup.So she orders the Crispy Chimichanga and was presented with a huge portion. The chimichanga was light and loaded with chicken and peppers, covered in a cream queso sauce. The serving was enough for two so sharing would be a good option. There was a little kick but with the beans and sour cream, the heat was just right.I ordered the Enchiladas Rancheras which consisted of three cheese enchiladas topped with shredded pork, tomatoes, onions and enchilada sauce. I also ordered the Mexican Rice and Refried Beans a la carte. The toppings seemed to overwhelm the enchiladas because there was too much of it. The toppings were excellent but sorta drowned the enchiladas. Still all was good and I took the leftovers home for later. The rice and beans were perfect too."

"Best Mexican place around! We go here all the time weather it be for lunch or dinner! The fajitas always come out sizzling and the elote corn is one of my favorite sides! The queso is nice and thick, not watery like some places. Anytime we have gone the food always comes out quick even when they seem busy. The staff also is very friendly. The vibe of the restaurant is very nice as well, I love looking at all the different art work and tables. Will always be my number one Mexican place."

"Tortilla Factory was a late afternoon stop for lunch that turned out to be well worth it.The tortilla themselves were the highlight, clearly fresh made. My margarita was great. The chips and salsa were pretty standard but good. The beans and rice were better than most places for my taste. And my tacos tasted very good.However, you can't mix and match specialty taco types, which was the big disappointment.Service was good though, and I hear that their sister restaurant lets you, so I'd likely go there next time instead so I could try a variety."

"I went to this place for lunch. It's hidden behind some other restaurants on Richmond Road. They had wall to wall televisions for sports. The service was super fast. Salsa was amazing. I ordered the spicy burrito and it did not disappoint. Check this place out."

"La Rosita has the best, most authentic tacos in Louisville. Everything here is good. The chicken is delicious and juicy and perfect in their tacos, burritos, and tortas. While it probably would have been better warm, still it was a nice meal. My cheese enchiladas in mole had a complex flavor, which was enhanced more by the fried jalapenos I ordered on the side. The guacamole was smooth and citrus-y, but I didn't think much of the salsa and the chips weren't especially good.The food was good, not great. The place does have a vegetarian/vegan menu (overwhelmingly the former, given the dairy), and GF menu listed, which is notable around here. It's not what you'd get in Texas, but for Kentucky I was pretty happy."

"This was our first time here. We brought our Granddaughter to have lunch. The servers were very attentive and brought our drinks and menus as soon as we were seated. Our meals were served very quickly and were hot and delicious. This will now be our favorite Mexican Food place. The atmosphere, food and service was exceptional."

"Tried this place during taco week, and so glad we did! The tacos were pretty good- fresh tasting and certainly a great value during taco week. The real star was the Veloz burrito. "Served with steak, chicken, shrimp, sausage, pineapple, white rice, beans, and cheese sauce.", this burrito have great flavor and was HUGE! Loved it. Our server was super friendly, helped us confirm we were in a legit parking spot, and was great the whole time. We will be back - and we will get there in time for the 4-7 happy hour specials!"

"Went to gustavos in crestwood and got a margarita flight. It was ok. Definitely a premix and not poured tequila. Syrupy and they all tasted the same. Also had the shrimp taco salad and it was pretty good, food was made fresh. They have hotdogs for pickier eaters (toddler)"
