Leucadia Pizzeria & Italian Restaurant

The five stars are truly for the service and atmosphere more than anything, but the food isn't bad either.Walked in to be seated immediately at 6pm on a Saturday, which was a relief given a previous visit where we'd been estimated to wait about half an hour for a table (impossible with two hungry toddlers). Arleigh, our server, was such a sweetheart, and gave us exemplary service our entire meal. Waters were out immediately, order taken and served promptly and meted out appropriately, and check and to-go boxes ready right when we were. Couldn't have had a better service experience.We got calamari, which came with marinara and a spicy roulade. Maybe a bit heavy on the breading and just a touch tough, but we still ate all of it happily. Lobster mac and cheese was piping hot and nicely creamy and cheesy. Just the right amount for an appetizer. Cobb salad was as would be expected, which was great. Pesto tomato pizza was yummy and had nice cheese pull. Overall satisfying. We'd come back just for the epic service, but the crayola crayons for the kids were pretty awesome. Thanks for a lovely experience!

Checked in at the front desk at 7, was told it was a 15-20 minute wait... didn't get called until 8 and the restaurant was nearly empty.Manager kept looking at us, and was not welcoming. If anything it felt as if they wanted us to leave because we were there waiting for a while.My kids and sisters kids were with us asking for pizza so we stayed for them.Food was good, waiter was super nice! Just everyone in the front checking us in was our only issue. But service is everything to me, I could just find another restaurant with good pizza and better service.

Always a standout favorite. The pizza crust is a nice balance between crispy and doughy. We ordered a large that was made half as a deluxe and half as Santa Fe chicken which satisfied everyone in our group. Service was great and with a smile- thank you Kirk. A great place for Sunday afternoon lunch, a casual dinner or even happy hour for locals and tourists alike.

We were camping at San Elijo Campground and a fellow camper informed us the His favorite local pizza spot is Leucadia Pizza and that they deliver to the campgrounds!! This was perfect since the kids were still showering from the day and when they were done the pizza would be here! We ordered the Margherita for the kids and the Roasted Garlic Chicken for the adults. The pizzas were so good! Our family will definitely go back and try the other specialty pizzas in the near future. I'm so bummed i didn't get photos of the pizzas before the wild animals came and devoured them!

They have insanely good gluten free pizza! I am so happy there are better options for this now. I can't really speak to much else than that but it's not easy to find good gluten free pizza so that's an automatic win in my book. The pear Gorgonzola arugula pizza is my favorite one.

This was my second visit, and I unfortunately had the same negative experience. Unlike the Rancho Santa Fe location, this place is a huge disappointment. The staff is just horrible--unfriendly and always more engaged in conversations with each other than with customers. I placed an order for takeout, but my 4-year-old daughter decided she wanted to eat there. Despite sitting down, the waitress never approached us, not even to ask if we wanted drinks. I get that she's not interested in earning 20% on a $4 tab, but the whole atmosphere is unpleasant. I won't be coming back. Cookies are worth the visit

This is our go to place as a family and a group of friends as we did tonight the management were so accommodating to us and we are absolutely grateful. The food here is always excellent and tonight was no different. We were a large group with a last minute decision to eat here noting it was a Saturday night and they greeted us with welcoming, smiles and got us a place to eat for a large group. The staff was super friendly and attentive, and the food came out super fast, which was important as we had about 15 11 and 12-year-old girls with us. I always enjoy their pizza and they have such a great variety. If you're local to Encinitas or just passing through, and you're looking for pizza, this is the place to go.

I often have pizza, etc delivered and I would in the past give them a 4 star or even a 5 star rating. The last time I ordered $100+ of food and most everything was fine, except for my small Gluten Free cauliflower crust pizza. It was completely overcooked, partially burnt and tasted like cardboard. Enough so that it wasn't edible. It never should have left the restaurant. If I was dining in, it would have been sent back. I was hosting the meal, so since it was just my pizza that was ruined I didn't bother calling the restaurant at that time, just had salad. There were also chicken bites that were tasty. I filled out the survey that was sent the next day and also sent a email along with photos of the GF pizza. Didn't hear back, which is why I'm giving them the 3 star review.

7.3/10. It's a classic spot for a reason, pretty good pizza and a good location with it. Nothing else to say

I have placed an olnline order on Sunday late afternoon and decided to pick up by myself; when I arrived order was not ready, front desk ladies were un focused unfriendly and did not really care that the soup was sitting on the counter heater, while the rest of order was not even close to be done; Restaurant was about half empty but that did not matter for the manager and th front team.. they ended up messing up my order and theer were no utensils, soup had no croutons and it was the incorrect type of pizza.. so when I got home my almost $100 dinner turned into mini fiasco..Food was very poor quality, garlic bread was burned out, pizza quality has seen way better days at the same place.. so no will not go back as i do not like to waste money and have unhappy kids
