Letterie's Italian Market

I was in the mood for a sub, and saw this place on Uber Eats. I never heard of them before and they have an unclaimed yelp page with only a handful of reviews. I decided to risk it an order in Italian and a jar of stuffed hot peppers (I love these and usually get em at Roy's). The sub is great. The meat was good, the 'bread to stuff' ratio is ideal. It really hit the spot. A classic working-man's sandwich. Prices are reasonable too!Peppers are ace! It's hard to tell by the picture, but they really don't skimp out. They put a lot of peppers in this little jar. Happy customer here, would be delighted to order again.

Do not order the steak and cheese sandwiches if you are hungry. 2 ounces for small, maybe 4 for the large. Chunk of steak with grizzle. The bread was fresh though.

This is a great local and family owned business, deli and catering. Very high quality deli and also nice selection of curated groceries, including speciality/soda like cream soda root beer, Stonewall Kitchen jams, fresh bakery/baked bread, etc. Have not tried catering yet, but will try post covid-crisis and update. Open during Covid-crisis but I think probably best to call first to confirm hours and inventory. #shoplocal

LOVE THIS PLACE! My carnivore friends come here for two different subs in particular--the Italian Sub and Chicken Parm. I personally don't eat meat but they are SO accommodating! I could eat any of these salads for lunch--especially the classic cafe salad. Not only is the food great but the atmosphere is friendly and relaxing. It's a family run business and if you're lucky you'll run into Jake cuz he is ah-dorable. If you live in the Winthrop area, Letterie's is a MUST! ;)

Still great after all these years! You really can't go wrong at Letterie's. Everything is fresh, well made and prepared with care. Couple this with staff that are top notch and you've got a winner. Whenever I'm dying for an Italian sub with pickles and onions, I head to Letterie's and I'm never disappointed. Next on my must try list there is the Nuno Bettencourt presumably named for the Massachusetts based rock star (who is himeself, delicious btw)!

OK, I've had their subs before and they have always been solid a great choice of coldcuts and cutlets. But on my last visit we tried their pizza and saw that they sold calzones. Their sheet pizza is the best in town and at a great price! We ordered a couple of calzones and a half sheet of pizza for the Super Bowl. NOT DISAPPOINTED! Absolutely the best calzones in town! The Italian was a great size and the cold cuts were superb. The meatball... homemade meatballs ..amazing. The crowd was not disappointed with either as they disappeared quickly, same with the pizza! No need to go outside of the town to look for your catering needs or a quick lunch! The only place in town I would recommend for sheet pizza and calzones without a doubt! Only flaw is that they are a family place that closes around 2pm I wish this place was open for dinner!!

Hey Letteries!I was disappointed coming in from NYC to take my mom out to eat, so June 19th Father's Day we sat across from your front door eating lunch (not as good as yours) at the Chinese restaurant for an hour or so...and watched at least 40 customers get turned away because you were CLOSED...Maybe you should be open on Father's Day?See you with my mom soon!

Overall friendly staff and very good food. Sure, from time to time a sandwich order might get messed up but the positives outweigh the negatives. They also do a good job with catering. Though we've found the cold cut platters/pizza/calzone to be the way to go over the hot foods.

They have the best subs & fresh deli meat around! Such a local gem. Highly recommend the steak tip & cheese sub!!

Some of the girls and I that I work with decided to order lunch from this place today. We ordered a Greek wrap, salad and a blt sub. 2 out of the 3 items were a little disappointing. The Greek wrap was supposed to have an olive spread and olives, those were left out. The blt was overwhelmed with bread, pretty much had nothing else to it. For a blt sub, you'd think that it would have a decent amount of bacon, but not this one! As for the salad, it had a great variety of lettuce and was very much enjoyed. Would definitely have to rethink this place for future lunches...
