Owned by Lawrence BBQ, Leroy's Taco Shop is a nice little location on the base level of Boxyard.I have been to this location multiple times, boxyard itself will host various activities from live music to trivia and bingo (the last event this week was music bingo) so check the official boxyard socials for details during your visit!. Leroy's has various single taco options so you can mix and match or just have a snack. I typically get the Carne Asada which is marinated grilled steak, cilantro and onion. They have a vegitarian taco called the Brussel Sprout taco that is just like it sounds with Brussels, onion, cilantro and some crystal cane sauce. Obvi they are called taco shop for a reason but they do provide a few sides and chips/salsa. The staff has always been great just keep in mind there is no alcohol here and the drinks are limited which really isn't a problem in boxyard because you can easily grab your favorite beverage within boxyard. Indoor seating is also available but a bit limited which again isn't typically a problem with box yards outdoor space unless it rains and people are trying to come in. Overall a good location for a nice little taco place!

I tried Leroy's Taco Shop for the first time at Boxyard the other day. I heard it was owned by the famous Lawrence BBQ so I had to give it a try.The menu looked simple but it definitely highlighted some good and flavorful items. I ordered the smoked brisket quesabirria taco and the chorizo taco, along with the side of party potatoes.Food was delicious. I do like the deep flavor of the consomé along with the smoky flavor of the quesabirria. The chorizo taco wasn't too bad, very greasy, which is to be expected. The potatoes were crispy and flavorful, with the peanuts adding a surprising crunch factor. The food was very rich, so it did get to be a bit much eating all these rich and intense flavors all at once. I ordered salsa too but they forgot to put it on my tray, which would have cut the fattiness and richness of the dishes. Overall, food was good and I think they would hit the spot if you're looking for some decent tacos. Also, there are some high top tables you could sit at inside or take outside to sit at Boxyard.

Recently visited the newest addition to Boxyard RTP, Leroy's Taco Shop and it was a fun experience. This eatery specializes in quesabirria tacos (brisket, cheese) which are griddled on a flat-top and served with consomme for a dipping sauce. Brought to you by the folks from Lawrence Barbecue, it's a small space with a smattering of seating inside and decked out in a quirkly 90's motif. There's and old-school tube television up front with the menu which is pretty tight: tacos, salad, hominy, chips, and salsa. Quesabirria tacos are $7.50 each and nicely crisped up without much grease. Dip it into the broth for a tasty treat that's crisp, cheesy, chewy and savory! It's a good bite but a touch pricey. There's a second window inside the dining area which I believe will be serving beer but I don't think they have their ABC license yet! Overall I like Leroy's Taco shop but given I live right near Birreiria El Patron 323 which has been doing quesabirria tacos for years, it wasn't quite as special to me as it is for other first-timers. Definitely worth a visit and meal if you're at Boxyard RTP!

I stopped in in the first few weeks of them opening. I love the vibe here - super funky and fun. I wanted to try the Burris tacos that I'd heard so much about. I did one with cheese and one without. I thought they were good but a bit overpriced and overhyped. It's not something I'd go out of my way to get again at Boxyard but I think it's a cool addition to their suite of food options.

Brisket Quesabirria taco and consumme were very flavorful (especially the comsumme... first time I've ever had an au jus with my taco and it was delicicous!!) Brisket Nachos... dear Lord, those were SO tasty!!!!!! Serious layers of flavor on those crispy bad boys!! It's absolutely worth making the drive JUST for the food (and the Boxyard and the band were cool, too )

A hidden gem. Housed within Boxyard RTP of can be easy to miss but this place serves up fantastic food with high quality ingredients. Their queso is some of the best I've ever had, and we love the quesobirria tacos with a side of cilantro crema. We enjoy this place so much we've starting coming for takeout even when we're not going to Boxyard.

Delicious food worth every penny! Lawrence bbq has always been a recommendation of mine and the related taco shop will be no different. It's some of the best bbq, and now tacos, in the triangle. The staff was very friendly and helpful too. We got there 15 mins before closing and didn't realize it but they still treated us kindly. We couldn't decide what we wanted since it all sounded so good and they gave us some great recommendations. I'll definitely be back to try the rest of the menu as well.

Super mediocre. Tried twice. Brisket tacos seem to get the scraps left over from Lawrence BBQ next door (which is good). Tough and not very flavorful while being super greasy. Doubtful I will try again but I hope they step it up. Lawrence BBQ brisket tacos sound awesome on paper!
