This is my favorite Hawaiian food spot in the valley! It's a bit of a drive for me, but so worth it!The employee's are always so friendly and helpful. The restaurant is nothing special, just a typical smaller dining room where you order at the counter. But the vibes are always great.The food is always insanely great! They really scratch the itch for when I'm looking for authentic Hawaiian food. So far everything I have tried has been great.

Best thing about Leo's Island bbq is their bbq chicken. It was absolutely juicy and delicious. The short rib was also delicious; not very fatty yet ton of flavor. Their macaroni salad was also good. We also tried their pulled pork but it had very strong smoke taste to it. Their chicken katsu also had funky aftertaste...like as if fried in old oil. Hope it was an off day. Willing to try again and update review.

Very very good Hawaiian bbq food. Very much hole in the wall, great for take-out, kind of restaurant. The price and portion are pretty great! I love the steamed veggie bed underneath the meat. Makes me feel like I'm not sacrificing on my health haha. I also love the Mac salad. The meets were juicy and the sauces complimented them well. The staff was very helpful and nice as well :)

I got the chicken katsu mini meal for $9.99 and it was a great deal! As you can see it's plenty of food and great for the value. The service was quick and the restaurant was clean and stayed busy.

This is a small, no frills establishment. But what you are coming for is where they shine: the food.This is authentic island food and plenty of it. You can rarely find portions like these any more. Favorite were the kalbi ribs, katzu chicken, and island bbq chicken. We wished we would have tried the Kailua pork. Everything was prepared well and delicious.I don't live in the area, or I would definitely frequent this establishment. I hope the local realize what a gem they have here.

I love Leo's! They've got plenty of tasty options, and they're all worth a try. For example, I stopped by yesterday because I was craving their BBQ Short Ribs plate. A friend called on my way to the restaurant and once she found out I was heading to Leo's Island BBQ- asked if I wouldn't mind grabbing her the Grilled Island Fish plate and dropping it off on my way home. "Why sure!" (I didn't mind!)Long story short; I was in a rush when I dropped her plate off, and accidentally left her with my BBQ Short Ribs plate. Whoops. I received the text informing me of my mistake by the time I got home. My heart sank a tiny bit. (My short ribssss!!!)BUT... her Grilled Island Fish plate turned out being DELICIOUS... and it is now one of my new favorite options!Ol' Siggy Freud was right: "There are no accidents."Leo's Island BBQ has a lot of plates and more to choose from, and I absolutely love their Mac salad and steamed veggies!If you plan on eating at the restaurant, there's plenty of space/tables, the staff does an excellent job keeping the restaurant clean, and they're all rockstars. Try the grilled fish. It doesn't disappoint

oh my god the food is so bomb i can never turn down leos!! you have to try it! i get the manapua and the mini meal with bbq beef!! extra teriyaki sauce on the side!

Service was lacking. Cashier seems like he didn't wanna be there. Location was clean. Food was just okay. I got the island mix. It all wasn't bad but I've had a lot better for sure.

Yummy! Freshly prepared and hot... and not like the other Hawaiian joints in town. Service is fast and all the customers I observed were served quickly and efficiently. Combos are the way to go so you get a little taste of everything
