Leon's BBQ & Grill

I harkened back to the 1980's at Leon's on the corner of 83rd & Cottage Grove and French fries smothered in "Leon Sauce" so when my wife said "barbecue for Mother's Day" I immediately jumped on-line and ordered a slab, tip-link combo and large fries with extra sauce. This location off 63rd & Stony Island may be "new" but this food is consistently DELICIOUS. I have no idea what the relationship is to the other two "Leon's" locations that claim to be the "original," but this location was started by my dear friend Dr. Leon Finney, Jr., and this food is authentic and amazing!

I tried it and it was tasty. I'm impressed the owner put together a special for his loyal customers. I was able to taste various entries for a good price. I was able to purchase a value meal to introduce my colleague to LEON'S. They were impressed too. They will want to introduce their friends to the flavorful meal.

I ordered jumbo shrimp with barbecue sauce on the side because I don't want my food drenched with sauce. The shrimps were overcooked and definitely weren't jumbo shrimp. I tasted a boatload of salt and it was NASTY. It also took entirely too long for my order and it wasn't busy on a Tuesday evening.

This review is for the service, bruh y'all should at least acknowledge the customer when they come up the the register over looking at them crazy as hell.

6 Wings,Hot Links, Rib Tips were very good even the next day they were tasty. They were quick with the service. Ordered online then pick the food up. They didn't have enough sauce like they normally do the food was still good the ribs tasty.

sad to say cause i used to love this place but it just don't hit the same as it used to when i was younger

Absolutely disgusting. The rib tips were soaked in sauce and no actual meat in the bones. Cold soggy fries. Never again

I wouldn't serve a dog what was delivered to me. These are obviously not the Leon's we know from years ago. My wife got sick we couldn't eat our meal... Kids said it tasted funny. The meat was old possibly refried. I have never been so pissed and disgusted at a meal. If you want real Leon's goto Uncle John's..rip Leon's. I ordered rib tips and chicken and the chicken was discolored... Even the sauce which tasted tart and vinegary, couldn't save the chicken. Don't go there!

Good Evening Folks,I order an online order not to long ago; some turkey tips and an order of larger fries. First off the food came cold. Mind you, I got my food in less than 30 mins, which means the food had to be already cooked and sitting. Worse all, the turkey tips bbq sauce tases "funny" ,hard to describe, but it tasted like some soap. I used to love eating from the Leon's joint growing up as a kid, but never again. As a buddy of mines would say, it hot garbage. They need to retrain the kitchen staff because this is not right. If I can give them negative stats I would. Over all, my experience with this establishment was extremely unpleasant and I will never order from Leon's again.

Rib tip and Hot Links order was not good! Tips had all greasy fat barely any meat. The meat given was old and dry! Hot Links overcooked, Dry! Even the fries were old, but covered in BBQ sauce. In the trash it went! They got the money, but can't give a cup of Cole slaw?
