Legends Bar & Grill

I tried something new here other than my usual Anthem Burger and it was the seafood pasta. What a great meal - it is angel hair pasta with shrimp and salmon and a great cream sauce. I have tried the mushroom ravioli a long time ago and it was also quite good. I have to say for a local sports bar it serves up some consistently good food.Now one thing that is disappointing is that they seemed to have changed their French fries. They are still pretty good but before they had some crispy finish to them that was something that was lightly globbed into each fry strand that was a true differentiator and it is definitely missed. I hope they can bring them back. Also, I have notes that they are giving less in the way of fries than before and that is also disappointing.Other than that, I do certainly recommend this spot for locals or if you are in the neighborhood.

I hate to say it, but to me Anthem is where businesses especially local ones go to die. I'm not saying that's true so don't fact check me, but every time I stop in the area looking for something that could revive it just a little I am disappointed, frustrated or if excited it is short lived. Most small local owned don't survive. We have to try harder to support them and keep this community going. Today I found myself in the Safeway Parking lot and Legends caught my eye. The parking lot is very busy and it took me a moment to find spot. There's a nice patio at the entrance with misters and it felt pretty decent out there if you choose to eat outside. Upon walking in w me with a hostess station. It a quite busy as it a noon an no one was at the counter so I waited. Fairly quick an employee acknowledged me and told me gets be with me in a few moments. I appreciated the acknowledgment. Once helped we were quickly seated, given menus and our drink orders taken. The vibe is great and so many different TV's to watch sports and such; which is of course ha they're known for. There's a decent size bar and with the great happy hour during the week it was full. The menu is vast and it was a bit hard o choose a main course. We decided on the Anthem Nachos with green chili pork to share ahead of our meal. They looked quite large in other photos so we decided to share the triple decker club sandwich with fries. They offer regular or sweet potato fries or for a few extra bucks onion rings. Thank God I didn't also order the Cuban sandwich because after we ate the nachos we were border line full and when the club was brought out holy smokes it was huge! They even split the club onto two separate plates for us which we appreciated. When I say the club was huge I'm speaking of the half portion I ate ha ha . I'm going out on a limb and saying it was one of the best club sandwiches I've ever had. The bread was toasts well, but not hard or burnt . It was loaded with meat, avocado, bacon... You name it it had it all. The fries were crispy. The nachos were good, the green chili pork was moist and flavorful. Plenty of toppings including jalepeno, beans, guacamole and of course some cheese. They were good, but I will say the way the shredded cheese stuck to the chips it seemed microwaved for moment. Not a huge issue; again still good, but I'd prefer another method. That being said I'd eat them again. Service was awesome. She was friendly and funny. We didn't have to ask for nothing or wait long. From what I can gather Legends has been around decades. I can't say if in the same location, but it's definitely a win Anthem needed and it's local! Prices were fair and I was able to take half of my half club home ha ha . Come hungry and bring four friends. I'm counting down to my next visit to try the jalepeno burgers or Cuban.

We sat outside for lunch and had a really nice time. I ordered the buffalo chicken salad and it was amazing!! Highly recommend it. Hubby had the steak salad. He would get it again. The much room burger and the jalapeño burger were a big hit at our table. The pretzel bites were also great. If you are into sports, you will enjoy the layout of the inside as they make all the seats comfortable to watch the game. Lots of tv screens. Best sports bar I've ever been too. And friendly staff as well. The owner is great!

Cheap beer. Really good appetizers and entrees. The servers are primarily high school kids, so you take the good with the bad I guess. This is as close to a neighborhood bar as you'll get in Anthem. I recommend.

We LOVE this place and for good reason - consistently delicious food and consistently attentive service! Our waiter, Justin, was fabulous! He was so attentive and kind - we really appreciate how wonderful staff always is here! And the Anthem Nachos with Green Chile Pork are perfection - I truly have never had better nachos!!! Order them - you will not ever have better!!! The toppings are generous and so fresh! Oh and we always order the Legends Pie - sooooooooooo yummy!

Recently relocated from San Diego, Ca to Anthem Arizona full time now and was the first time in Legends and we will be back... Sat at the bar and Shelly was great, very accommodating and welcoming. We only had cocktails this time (Jack and Cokes) because we had just eaten, but the food we saw coming out looked delicious! Got to meet Rick and he was welcoming and engaging. Without a doubt we will be back!

Family of 8 had lunch at this location after a Lacrosse game for my grandsons. We had 4 kids with us ages 5-16. We usually eat here after all sporting events because closest thing in Anthem, and usually we have a party of 10-15 but this day not everybody could attend.First a good waitress would "ALWAYS" be sure a customer is aware that there is an extra charge for a tiny (I mean super tiny) cup of ranch, wing sauce, etc., but ours (Lauren) didn't say a word!!When you order a Buffalo chicken sandwich you expect it to have Buffalo sauce on it, which it didn't, therefore asked for some. When the bill came we were all shocked to see we had been charged $2.75 for 3 little cups of sauce. When saying something to waitress she said, yeah and nothing she could do about it. My son asked to speak to manager who we then were informed he was owner "RICK". He was the most ignorant, unprofessional and useless excuse of a man!! When my daughter-in-law explained her Buffalo chicken sandwich came without sauce (even waitress confirmed), he argued about taking cost off and then literally stuck his tongue out at her like a 2 year old child would do and started making mocking sounds. It took everything to keep my son from going after him, but he isn't worth the ground we walk on, so paid the bill but will "NEVER" visit again.We know many people who visit Anthem and have shared our experience with them.Bad enough you act like a jerk, but for my grandkids to see it was unbelievable and caused my son to teach his boys that there are real morons in this world and they aren't worth going to jail over.If you go, don't say you weren't warned. Posted part receipt only due to credit card detail and the new name we have given the owner of this place.

Philly cheese steak was so good. Red sauce on Mexican food not so good. Soda was so good. Water not so good. Service and atmosphere so good. So So

Great food in a bar atmosphere. The jalapeño bacon poppers are a 10 out of 10. Must recommend. All the other food we've gotten there has been fabulous and fresh. Service was great - attentive, but not too attentive.

Great burger place. Good service. Reasonable prices. Love supporting local businesses.
