This location is where they roast the coffee. The woman explained their shop and that they sell their coffee beans here but they also have a coffee machine and are able to make your drink of choice off their menu from lattes to ice coffee. Score! Since the location is in an industrial area and I really needed some caffeine while waiting my car was being serviced.$4.75 for a regular lavender latte. Excellent, just as I remember it! If you're in the area, stop by for a drink or grab some of their beans!

Located in an industrial area it might be hard to find. You have to turn into the parking lot and drive down a little bit before you see the space as the sign might be hard to miss. Cute little space. The entrance we walked through looked like an office, and we were greeted with a cute dog.The coffee was well balanced. Pour overs take a while so give yourself ample time if you're in a rush.

Could not be more stoked that the Leap Roastery is so so close to my workplace!! I have missed Leap Coffee so much in their Carlsbad location and I am overjoyed that I can now get quality coffee in Escondido. The coffee is just as good as I knew it would be, and their iced vanilla latte remains one of my absolute favorites in North County (s/o their house-made vanilla syrup). The roastery is to-go only, but you're not required to order ahead or online or anything! They are card only bc it's not technically a storefront, but it's still got a very cute clean vibe (just a bit more utilitarian).I'm 100% going to be back! Had a really lovely convo with the person working there and it was nice to hear that Leap's been doing well in their Santa Fe Springs location.

I used to leap my way over to Leap Coffee when my workplace was under construction and didn't have many lounge areas for me to do my work. I came here for a flat white or honey matcha latte and I will say that the coffee is really good here too. I'm not a fan of the pour over, maybe it's the price? Maybe it's just a bit eh, but either way, I don't really do the pour over at this place. I was just here again yesterday and had my usual honey matcha latte and some coffee, but also tried the seasonal drink? I hope it's seasonal... the Carlsbad Chronic. It was terrible and a waste of money. It tasted like my kids got into my coffee maker and poured tons of sparkling water in my coffee. It tastes like washed down coffee with terrible after taste of the coffee. I like sparkling water. I like coffee, but I don't like them together. The place was packed at 9 and again at around 11:30 am, so I'm glad this place is still pretty popular despite the opening of another Leap Coffee at The Shoppes. I haven't been to that one yet, but I'll make my way over there to check that location out as well.

3.5 stars, rounded up. I'm not quite sure why, but the coffee is much better here than at the mall location. I ordered two drinks, a latte and a shot of espresso. I drank the latte first and knew instantly that it was going to be stronger than what I had at the mall location. It's great- the coffee flavor really shines.I drank the espresso next, and it was a nice pull. I'm all about that crema! I appreciate that it's served with sparkling water... it cuts the acidity of the coffee. I've had better roasts (albeit in LA), but this one is decent. As with the mall location, they are super friendly here. Even though I work and live closer to that location, I love the ambience and quality here more. I look forward to returning.Pros:- ambience- high ceilings- they roast here!- friendly- lots of parking- near Prager BrosCons:- a bit hard to find- one paper cup even though both were for dining-in

A hidden gem. I was running to a meeting and needed an afternoon iced coffee. I work all over San Diego county but my office is in North County in Oceanside. I also spend some "work" time in Escondido. On my way from Oceanside the other day searched "coffee" to see if there was a local coffee shop not far from the freeway exit (onto Broadway). This explorative journey to support a local coffee shop led me to Leap. I was in for a surprise. I was a bit confused at first because my gps led me to an industrial area. As I pulled into the lot, I thought she had misdirected me (yes, my gps is female and her name is Rebecca. Becky for short and she has a South African accent. )I slowly rolled to near the back of the complex I pulled into and looked for the sign for Leap coffee. At first I was nervous it wouldn't be there, but was hopeful. Then I saw it! A single door leading into a small front office that leads into a small, but open coffee roasting space. As soon as I walked through the door the owner greeted me and confirmed I had not made a mistake. This is where they roast the coffee! I got to meet the lovely young lady who roasts the coffee, who was in the middle of roasting a batch. As an "all things coffee" lover, it was like a kid being let into Willy Wonkas Factory. The owner told me a bit about the business. That they roast there but I could also buy a drink there. Yay!! I ordered and she made my iced coffee while she made me aware of their actual cafe in Sabre Springs. Which I will ABSOLUTELY check out one day soon. After she finished making my drink, we went back into the office area (where you can also buy beans, by the way), where I paid for my coffee. We said our goodbyes and I rushed off to my meeting. It was a wonderful mini adventure that gave me great delight in an otherwise very busy day. It gave me the chance to slow down for a few moments and really take in the experience.Very very lovely "Woman Owned" business.I was quite happy to support and will do time and time again. Customer service was awesome! The experience was wonderful! The iced coffee was DELICIOUS! Very impressed with that roast!Take the time out of your day and hunt down this hidden gem in Escondido. Even if you have been to the cafe, check out their roasting location. If you "geek out" on coffee like I do, you will thoroughly enjoy it. It was not busy at all. I'm sure they have times that they get busy though. I went at around 1:30pm. If you time it right, you may be the only person there and get to ask fun questions and have a nice chat.Thank you! I will be back soon!

I needed a change of scenery from working at home so I stopped by Leap Coffee. The baristas are always welcoming and friendly. Service was quick. I've visited a few times in the past during lunch and service started to slip and get pretty backed up, especially when ordering food.I ordered a Chai latte which was decent. It could have been much hotter and it was a little watery. In the past I've ordered their cappuccino which was always frothy, delicious, and hot! They've got plenty of seating and space if you're working. The music was so good too, Sam Cooke. Also the view looking out is beautiful, with rolling green hills. It's a nice place to sip a hot beverage and relax.

I've been to Leap coffee a handful of times and each time is been a wonderful experience. You would never know that this cute coffee place is tucked inside a business park setting. During the autumn season, pumpkins decorate the shop. I have the pleasure of attending a meeting with one of my clubs there and met the owner and coffee roaster. I enjoyed learning about how the company started as well as how they choose the perfect beans to roast and make a delicious cup of coffee or espresso. At one time, they featured Flying Bird Botanicals, a mom and pop organic tea company from Bellingham Washington. Last time I went in, on Thanksgiving, I was informed that they are utilizing a different tea company. I look forward to my next visit.

Still on our mission to try every local coffee shop. We were on our way to one in Carlsbad when we realized that they were closed on Saturday's (whaaaat!?)Thanks to Yelp, we found Leap Coffee. Open and waiting for us. I ordered an iced sweet cinnamon soy latte and the hubs ordered a vanilla almond milk latte. All of their to go cup, lids, and straws are certified compostable. Honestly, that won me over. I love that and wish more coffee shops would adopt that. The coffee is really good and the flavorings (all made in store) are not too sweet or overpowering. They have a few veg options which is a huge plus for me. I really enjoy this coffee shop and can't wait to go back.
