My friend and I came here a couple months ago randomly after a day at the beach. We won and it was very busy and almost every table was occupied, so we knew it was good. The lighting was dim and poor in the restaurant look like a beautiful garden with large petals, fountain, and flowers vine from the ceiling. We ordered spring rolls and vegetarian pho. Both were delicious. And tasted like the freshest spring rolls and I'd ever had before.

I'm not going to lie... I am mad at myself! Do you know that amazing-looking duck dish which graces the business front page? Yeah... that one is no more. I was told their menu changes monthly, and once something is discontinued, it is gone forever. Welp, there goes the duck! Another word of advice: do not come here alone. Based on what I tried, it seems the idea is to share... bring AT LEAST one other person if you can. I'm not necessarily discouraging dining alone, though. I had the opportunity to try the Bone Marrow, Cajun Crawfish Noodles, and the Creme Brulee. The Bonfire was the drink of the evening. Bone Marrow (Bánh Mì Tủy Xương) - Why is it that everything bad for you tastes so dang good? The marrow itself was excellent! It was roasted to perfection, was exceptionally savory and fatty, and was not over-seasoned in the slightest. Accompaniments were well done, with different kinds of veggies, herbs, a chicken liver pâté, and some hot peppers for those who (like myself) like heat. My only critique here is that two thin crostinis are not enough. Perhaps this is because I tried to make a sandwich. Reasonable, I think given *how* savory the marrow was. Plus, with a name that translates to "Bone Marrow Bread," the bread is important. Việt Cajun Crawfish Noodles - These were slightly less spectacular than I would have hoped. Don't get me wrong, it was an extremely solid and tasty noodle dish, but that's what it was, a 'noodle dish'. In my opinion, the crawfish got overpowered and wasn't allowed to shine on its own. To the dish's credit, I did greatly enjoy the noodles and found them flavorful, and gently sweet. I also really liked the idea of adding a little salmon roe for flavor and salt (and more would have been nice!) Meanwhile, the option of adding an egg seemed like a good idea at the time but ended up being unnecessary, though this is a matter of preference. Crème Brûlée - this was like a regular C.B., only made with Vietnamese coffee. A solid dessert, and while I enjoyed the addition of coffee, it didn't beat out the traditional vanilla CB. Bonfire - An A-OK cocktail, with good smoky notes from the Mezcal, and a balance of sweetness, acidity, and bitterness. Nothing to write home about, but a solid go-to, like an Old Fashioned, say. What makes this one unique is the Szechuan Buzz Button, which apparently has a numbing effect when eaten. Some people may enjoy this, but I found the numbing effect minimal, a little strange (being outside a dentist's office), and not impacting the experience, other than making the textures of the solid food a little harder to pick up on. The service here is great. It is friendly, knowledgeable, and attentive. The speed was fine considering how fresh everything came out. The vibe is pleasant, with tastefully thought-out color and decor. Finally, considering the quality, I felt the prices were reasonable, especially with everything getting more expensive. It's a shame that I am leaving the state at the end of this month. However, the good thing is that I look forward to bringing friends here when I return to MA to visit. The more the merrier, especially because that means we'll be able to try more stuff!

Will definitely go back! It's a cute spot and staff is very nice. The prices are definitely reasonable for the quality. Honestly I'd skip getting drinks here. I really enjoyed the bone marrow and scallop skewers, but a MUST TRY is the Viet-Cajun Crawfish Noodles, idk what they put in it but every bite tastes different and so full of depth and umami flavor! Can't wait to go back and try more dishes.

Had a great dinner experience! The pricing did seem a bit high (about $21 a dish) but the portions are huge so you get your money's worth. I really enjoyed their Bún Đặc Biệt. It was loaded with lots of fresh veggies and noodles. The pork was sweet and tender. Once you combine everything with their fish sauce, every bite is cohesive and delicious. The bone marrow dish is huge, you get two large portions along with some toasted bread and a side of greens. I wish the bread wasn't so charred and oily though. When you combine it with the already fatty bone marrow, it's a bit overwhelmingly greasy. The service seemed great though. The staff checked on us often to ensure we enjoyed everything. Would definitely come back.

I've had better Vietnamese food. However, I would not return to this restaurant. It's extremely loud and dark in the restaurant. Nothing special about the decor. It's limited street parking. Service was super slow. They must've went to slaughter the chicken for wings and plucked it when we ordered it. That's how long we were waiting for it and we sat for dinner at 730pm. Wings were good but they dress it with their fish sauce dressing so crispiness doesn't hold up. The pork belly skewers were the same way. The giant prawn was probably the best item we ordered. Bun Bo hue was bland (my sister makes better and she's not even Vietnamese). Eggrolls were okay but homemade ones are better also. I guess on a quick whim and if you're starving for Vietnamese food, this place will suffice but it missed marks with me.

What can I say about Le Madeline that hasn't been said by other reviewers?I went here for a birthday dinner - and decided to go Al out with the caviar service and sharing a bunch of dishes. Everything was absolutely stunning, with incredible depth of flavor, texture, color and attention to detail. It's really a happy marriage of French and Vietnamese cooking technique - and this easily ranks as one of the top restaurants in Greater Boston. Service was warm, friendly, and inviting. The space actually feels like you're somewhere abroad - without feeling pretentious. I can't wait to come back.

Le Madeline, formally known as Pho Linh is now serving up Vietnamese food with a modern twist during dinner time. I loved this place when it was Pho Linh so it was nice to see their lunch menu still offered oldie but goodie dishes such as the house rice plate and the house special vermicelli bowl, which are all my favorite go-to's. Let's jump into it, I came here for dinner and the reason I knew La Madeline still offered my favorite dishes during lunch was because the host who escorted us to our table gave us the lunch menu instead of the dinner menu. Point deducted there, so I ended up asking another staff for the dinner menu. After a few minutes of browsing the menu, we ordered the Nuoc Mam wings, shaking beef aka Bo Luc Lac, and the Cajun Crawfish Noodles.Every dish was mouth-watering delicious, and loaded with flavor and came out steaming hot. The wings came out piping hot and fried to a golden crisp. For this app, you get drumettes and the flats with their tips. The chicken was scrumptious, plump, and juicy. The beef was tender and juicy wrapped in oyster sauce and tasted salty and sweet. I will mention, that a bowl of rice is a must with this dish because eating this dish on its own is too salty, and having the white rice you can spoon the sauce on it and it's extremely comforting and helps balance the salt. Then there's the oodles of garlic noodles topped with basil-buttered crawfish and salmon roe, which is rich and lush. I could only take a few bites of this because I felt it was that rich for my taste. This dish was just like the shaking beef packed with flavor. My main grumble of all these dishes is the dishes that had watercress as a bed, it was all yellow and turned bad. It was not fresh at all and I find that unacceptable to be served. All things considered, the food is delightful, besides the greens they gave me weren't fresh. The dishes here are on the pricier side and the portions are smaller. Before tip, my tab racked up to $77 for three dishes. That's expensive and if you or people in your group have a big appetite you'll be ordering more.

Lê Madeline in Quincy is a Vietnamese restaurant that deserves 5 stars, offering a dining experience that went above and beyond our expectations.Upon arrival, we were warmly welcomed into the beautifully decorated restaurant, where every detail exuded Vietnamese charm. With its small size, reservations are encouraged, but even sitting at the bar was fun! Our bartender and server, Kimmy, was an absolute delight. Her sweet demeanor and genuine hospitality made our dining experience truly memorable. She engaged us in good conversation, sharing insights into the various dishes and history of the restaurant. Kimmy's cocktails were amazing. The Second Wind, with its Vietnamese Espresso Martini twist and hint of banana flavor, was delicious. The Spicy Margarita and The Bonfire were equally good and flavorful. We also indulged in a durian smoothie, made with REAL durian and surpassed any powdered version. For starters, the fried chicken wings were full of flavor and crispy. Our entrees, the Pho Dac Biet and Bun Bo Hue, were generously portioned and packed with meat, so good! Our experience at Lê Madeline left us thoroughly impressed. With Kimmy's exceptional service and the restaurant's delicious offerings, we can't wait to return for another unforgettable meal. Five stars without a doubt, Lê Madeline!

The food was delicious! My favorites were the marinated filet mignon and crawfish noodles. For two people, four dishes was plenty of food. The drinks were tasty too. It is a bit dark in the restaurant and gets a bit loud after 7pm. Overall, it was a good experience.
