A true hidden gem in Seattle. Unique French wine selection hand picked by the owner. Delicious, adventurous, charcuterie-style small bites menu. Cozy bar and dining area, staff are friendly and knowledgeable. This is a "must-stop" anytime my husband and I visit Seattle.

I came here with coworkers after a work meetup and it was perfect! I loved the aura and vibes--very cozy. The light was dim and there were candles. A woman was in the corner reading a book by herself. There were people in groups (okay, girls' night!) and on dates too.We ordered a lot of small dishes like the Charcuterie board and Olives Marinees Herbs. The bread was also very good. The service was very nice and quick, and had good recommendations for wine as well. Would be back if I'm ever in Seattle again!

Omg i love this place! I really miss European wine bars and this really hit the spot! The have amazing cheese and charcuterie boards and the have my favourite wine by the glass and bottle - Cahors from France! I came here with a bunch of friends so we just shared plates. I ate thé meats but no bread as they didn't have anything gluten free. I would love to come back to try their larger dishes! The service is great! Despite it being packed (which was fun! As it felt very lively) they were always very attentive and noticed when we were ready to order again. I will definitely be coming back here! I can't wait!

Pretty solid wine bar in the heart of South Lake Union! We walked in as a party of 2 on a Thursday and it was quite busy around 7pm, and we had to wait about 20 min for a table. However, anyone can just walk in and immediately get wine; if you want food, then you will need a table. My friend and I got red (bourgogne rogue eric vairet) and white (bourgogne blanc maison chanzy) wine to try, and shared a bunch of food:Margret du canard fume - smoked duck breast. Thinly sliced and pairs well with the bread.Planche du beaujolais - charcuterie board that is pork based. Even the small one ($20) has a lot of food for 2 people, but this is one of the essential items to get pair with the wine. I specifically liked the creme to add to the toast. I wasn't too big of a fan of the pate but the jam on top made it quite good.Steak tartare - this is amazing. You can taste the fresh raw meat flavor. It is off-menu and considered a "special" but this seems to be widely popular so most people order this. I overheard this dish runs out early on in the night, around 7:30pm or so, as that was when the waitress apologized about just running out of steak tartare, to the table next to us.Service is overall good as they check up on you and they refill water jugs and even the water cups periodically. The slight downside is service can be slow, so plan plenty of time to dine here - it was slow enough we had to get up to pay at the front after 10 minutes of waiting for someone to pick up the check. We spent close to 2 hours here, and we didn't really take our time.

What a nice wine bar with very friendly staff! The ladies helping us, in addition to the owner, were all very delightful humans. There is great charcuterie on their menu to pair with the delicious French wines. The vibe is very relaxed, not too quiet, and not too loud. I would definitely come back next time I'm in the area!

I'm not fluent enough to explain the awesome dishes they have here. All I know is food we're all excellent and tasty. They have a lot of wine selections and meat teasers. Small but very romantic environment. Better practice your French.

A raving recommendation sent me to this quaint little spot downtown. However upon arriving the place was packed, and we put our name on a list. It was an immediate rude interaction with the staff, who refused to give even a slight estimate on wait time and the bald gentleman said "I have better things to do than discuss the list, so let's move on". Okay, WOW. We were sat within a reasonable period, and sipped a glass of wine waiting, no problem. Then the tall white haired gentleman came by and told us we were NOT to eat the certain charcuterie with bread, and to eat it like THIS, at which he grabbed a slice with his fingers off our plate and stuffed it into his mouth. WOW. Later he cussed as well, which for most Seattlites might be fine, but dear god, have some tact! There is a level of snobbery here I have never experienced in my entire 25+year dining history. I will not go back.

Just go here. Order whatever wine is featured on the leaf and get the warm goat cheese salad. If you're extra hungry or with someone else, then get the bread and butter. Or come back to get the bread and butter. And the wine featured on the leaf. You're welcome.

I had a wonderful evening this week with a friend at Le Caviste. The last time I visited this wine bar was several years ago. I don't know why it fell off my radar, but it is back on it. The glasses of wine (5 ounce pours) are reasonably priced, and they offer a great variety. I selected a full bodied Gigondas and was not disappointed. The bites offered are also tasty. We opted for the olives, a nice creamy cheese served with an ample portion of baguette, and the tasty roasted mushrooms. Please give this establishment a try!Service was smooth and unobtrusive. I recommend arriving soon after they open at four because the space does fill up quickly.
