Lawrence Fish Market

Simply put, this might be the best sushi restaurant I have ever been to. Their menu is huge, the sushi is super fresh, and the prices are hard to beat. The real hidden gem is that the sushi is so cheap, yet has some of the freshest fish I have ever eaten. My personal favorite is the firecracker roll which is SPICY! They also have a diced salmon sushi which I think is the perfect consistency and bite for a roll. If this place has any "downside", its that they only take cash and everything seems to be made from scratch so it takes awhile if you are ordering in. Sometimes high quality takes some time. Either way, this will be my sushi spot from now on. Well worth the trip and something for everybody!

I'm actually in awe. Such a down to earth and humble sushi spot that serves up some incredibly fresh and delectable sushi. The staff here are such awesome people who put their customers first. It's very no-frills inside which I love; there's some seating but they thrive on their to-go orders that usually involve sushi trays which they have a plethora of options for. I mean it when I say this stuff is FRESH, it was the freshest sushi I've had I think in my life. And not to mention you cannot beat the very affordable prices they have here ($4 for a salmon avocado roll? Unheard of in Chicago). Pro tip: Bring cash because it's cash only but they also accept Zelle! I will 10000% be back!!!

We've been picking up from here for years. We ordered party tray A4 recently $55. Cash only, we called in the order and it was ready in less than 30 mins. Street parking and easy pick up. If you forget to bring cash there is a chase bank across the street. This spot is a steal for sushi. Fully satisfied with the food quantity and taste.

This was our first time trying this place out. I wanted unique so we decided to come here. There are to go option or dine in option. We picked dine in. The uni was so fresh tasting. The salmon and fatty tuna were amazing. Everything here tastes so fresh. We definitely will come back in the future when we are in Chicago.

Amazing quality and even better value. Got a massive party platter of nigiri for $200 and honestly at Nobu it would have easily been 5x price. Cannot beat this seafood takeout in the city. Otoro and uni among the nigiri pictured.

It's a small sushi restaurant and we carried out a nice tray. Phoned in the order and 30 minutes later we picked up a fantastic fresh sushi tray. It was plenty of food for 2 hungry guys. Super tasty and very fresh. Not sure how much my son paid for it but it was an awesome meal. Probably $25-35 but totally worth the price. It could've been a $100 tray elsewhere and not as fresh and tasty. I'm recommending the Lawrence fish market. Very highly for quality Taste and value. We've both had lots of sushi all around Chicagoland and this is a Gem. It's been here for a long time. And there's a good reason. I think they have a sushi bar and some seating too should you want to eat in. Excellent food and service.

Great place for ordering sushi to go! The fact that they reserved 2 spots in front of their store is a plus for customers. I like how I could just park my car right in front and go inside to pay and pick up my order. The store has a little section for customers who want to sit down to eat and the other side is where the fresh fishes are. They are pretty popular and have catering orders daily, so it is best to call ahead of time to place what you want and to pick it up later in the day or after the work. The sushi and fish here are fresh and I have no complaints. The price is decent too for the potions and combo platelets that they offer. I will definitely be ordering from Lawrence Fish Market again!

The birthday girl requested sushi and that's what we got -- assorted rolls, nigiri, inari -- very fresh, generously sized and pretty inexpensive. LOL yall see that picture of an empty box!! I literally couldn't stop eating the nigiri that once lived there long enough to get a photo! Just imagine two hamachi and 4 salmon nigiri and My god were they fresh!!! That ran me $11 while i waited for the main course! Anyways had been craving tuna tostadas and figured I could make them at home so I searched up sushi grade tuna and ended up at lawrence! What a hidden gem it is!! I got sushi rice, bottles of kewpie, ponzu and unagi sauce, a pound of tuna and a half pound of salmon for $75 bucks which is insanely good!!! The customer service was off the charts and they were so fast for how busy they were ! The presentation of the food was stunning and thoughtful! I'll be back again and again and again and then a few more times! Yum!
