Last Chance Liquors

This is a great little local liquor store off of Dickerson Pike. My husband and I wandered in on a Thursday evening and ended up catching the tail end of a wine tasting with the owner himself! We went home with 2 of the 3 bottles we tasted ... and spent almost an hour browsing through all of the fun finds available. I honestly would return for the tastings alone - what a fun experience! The owner personally walked us through the different grapes and notes of each wine selected. Not to mention, you receive a small discount if you purchase any of the bottles being sampled. The prices are affordable for any budget, and this is definitely the place to pick up a bottle of something you've never heard of before. The wine is arranged by region and by grape, and the liquor is arranged by type. They even have a small fridge full of cold beer from local brewers. We'll absolutely return the next time we're in need of some libations. So thankful to have this little shop in the neighborhood!

This is not just a liquor & wine store. This is an experience!My local Nashville friend took me here to pick up supplies for a weekend party I came into town for. First, this store is beautiful. It is arranged and decorated lovely. I never knew liquor and wine could look so good on a self. I could see myself here enjoying a drink sitting on the back couch. Second, they offer many unique brands and finds for all types of liquors and wines. Many I have never heard of but I was instantly offered a story behind every bottle Third, the manager allowed my friend and I to sample items that were his current favorite finds. How unique! Third, I read they have classes here to learn something new and drink something new! Fourth, I am buying from a local business that has been in operation for many decades. I will return here during all my Nashville visits!

SUMMARY. VERY cool place. Great selection at affordable prices, awesome service, and tastings are a common theme!LOCATION. Located on Dickerson in East Nashville. SELECTION. Their spirit selection is enormous, as the entire wall is shelved with all types of booze. The wine selection isn't as abundant as the spirits, but they have a knack for offering bottles that are very good value. I don't know much about wine, so I usually use the Vivino app to locate bottles with at least a 4-star rating. Usually, these bottles cost upwards of $20, yet Last Chance had several 4-star bottles available in the $10-$15 range last time I was there. I was super impressed.SERVICE. The service here is unlike any liquor store I have ever been to. Besides the staff being super nice, helpful, and knowledgeable, they are constantly offering free tastings and events. This really seals the deal for me for this place being awesome. Last time I was here I enjoyed two separate whiskey tastings: one via a third party vendor, and another courtesy of store staff. I'm a happy customer for sure!PERKS. Last Chance does various events and tastings, which is great. Even better are the impromptu tastings you may encounter just by shopping here. Even if you don't encounter one every time you shop, you're sure to do so if you are a regular here.VALUE. I can't speak to the value of their liquor, but their wine's value is quite good. I've been able to find several great bottles in the $10-$15 range, whereas usually I'm shopping in the $17-$22 range for similarly rated bottles.TAKEAWAYS. They have an unbelievable selection of everything! I believe I met the owner, he was incredibly helpful and informative. He wasn't pushy to buy the most expensive bottle on the shelf but showcasing the options when I explained my budget. Definitely returning in the future.

This place was absolutely amazing! We met Richard and he was extremely welcoming and talked to us quite a bit about the newly renovated store. He recommended a wine for us after we told him what we liked and it was the best wine we have ever had. This man knows his stuff and the store is BEAUTIFUL. Truly a wonderful experience. I recommend and will surely come back!

Best Liquor Store I've ever been too! I'm from out of town and stopped in since it was down the street from where we are staying and I was completely blown away. Richard is extremely knowledgeable and friendly and took the time to tell us the history of the building and the area. I learned a lot as Richard walked me through their wide selection and helped me make a decision. I wish it were closer to us back home! Definitely can't wait to come back!
