Decided to try a new breakfast place on my quick trip to Vegas. Holy Moly , I was blown away by this restaurant gem. This is my first time eating at Winnie & Ethels. This restaurant is in the older part of Las Vegas, has a vintage feel to it down to the decor, chairs and wallpaper. Do not let that dissuade you from coming! We were greeted immediately by 2 hostesses. We waited less than 2 minutes to be seated. Right away, they brought water and offered coffee. They serve this coffee called mothership. It was perfect, delicious So, the power came out, ( not their fault) but I think she was the manager or owner. She did come around and speak to us and let us know that it should be momentarily to get the stoves reheated and going. We appreciated that . I ordered the benedict, it had a perfect little kick to it ; Came with these homestyle potatoes that were crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. My ordered steak & eggs medium well. He said that that was one of his best steaks he's ever had! We had save the pancakes for last in case our eyes were bigger than our stomach. The pancakes also did not disappoint . We ended up ordering the tropical pancakes. Inside was crushed pineapple mixed in. And it was topped with whipped cream and shaved coconut with a side of cane syrup !!Anytime I order pancakes I usually maybe take a couple bites and I'm done. Do you know I finished 1/2 of this LoL my LOVE finished the rest If you're in town definitely come by. This place is great !

What a lovely, old school diner, with comfort foods from childhood, and décor to match. We stepped into Winnie & Ethel's at my guy's suggestion and I'm really happy we did! Let's start with the host, Quinn, who couldn't have been more friendly, pleasant and informative. Quinn was a breath of fresh of fresh air from the moment we walked in.Once seated, we were greeted by Autumn, who explained the comfort food concept, gave us our menus and made some recommendations. I started with a Cherry Drip Iced Coffee of sorts- I don't remember the exact name, but it was very interesting, almost like a black forest cake but not nearly as sweet. For food, my guy ordered French Onion soup, which I ate a good portion of, the broth was so flavorful and absolutely delicious!!!!!Next....there was a bit of a delay in getting our food, however it didn't ruin our experience and Autumn made up for it, which was not expected but definitely appreciated. As we're waiting for a our food, I'm looking around and just admiring the way they put the restaurant together- it reminded me of my grandma's house, with the color scheme, floral wall paper, the Tchotchke's; it was pretty cool. My corned beef hash eggs benedicts were great, his chicken fried steak was the best I've personally had- I don't typically like chicken fried steak but Winnie & Ethel's did it perfectly!!! We also ordered the cinnamon roll- we had to, the only make them on Saturday's...it was good, I don't know if I would order it again or opt for another sweet treat, I think it would have been better had it come out warm and the icing a little melted.I really enjoyed Winnie & Ethel's and look forward to trying all the things we wanted to, but had no room to :)

Went in here because the pizza place next door was slammed on a Saturday night. We were yelled at from across the restaurant by the owner(?) come to the counter and that they were "doing things a little different tonight". She told us we could only order from a very limited menu of burgers and a patty melt. Prices weren't terrible and we got a deal that came with a beer and burger for $20 bucks. Was weird ordering at the counter this way when it's a restaurant with a hostess station and dozens of empty tables. Felt like a shortcut in service. The music playing was Ol Dirty Bastard. I figured they were extremely short staffed, but there was absolutely no one in there on a Saturday night. Kinda sad because the place was cute. Hatch chili burger was decent but salty and we were given the check at the table we selected before we even got our food, but was told NO RUSH. There was our party of 3 and a family of 6 with small kids,no one else ever came in while we were there. Never offered water even though we were all drinking alcohol. Place is probably better for breakfast, but I probably won't come back.

Saw this place through a TikTok video so we decided to come check it out! The vibes of the place were so cute and I loved that it gave a home-y feel. We ordered some steak and eggs, pancakes, and biscuits and gravy. Unfortunately we didn't like the food, it lacked flavor to us but the pancakes were delicious!

I had a great time at breakfast! I highly recommend checking out the drink and dessert menu!! I had a coffee with pistachios and vanilla sweet cream foam. It was so good!! I didn't catch our waiter's name but he was great! The whole diner vibe is like being at a friend's house in their kitchen. Super cute. I can't wait to go back!

This place was phenomenal! I had reservations for a Sunday morning brunch with my friend and we were seated right on time our waiter came over immediately and gave us some good recommendations. He was prompt in bringing our drinks- we had the pistachio mimosa and it was AMAZING! The decor was cute and warm, and I felt like I was at a family diner by how welcome everyone was!I had the biscuits and gravy and their speciality pancakes which I believe were fig jam and some type of nuts (I can't remember). Everything was delicious. The biscuits were homemade and apparently so was the jam!I can't wait to go back again and enjoy more of their food items!

Our favorite breakfast diner, that has great food and great service. So far, everything we have had has been very tasty, from the pancakes to chicken country fried steak. And, the coffee....Amazing!! Roasted by Mothership Coffee Roasters... locally??(I drink mine black, and it has not needed and sweetener or cream to make it drinkable.)The service is always great, with friendly and helpful servers.I do wish they opened a little earlier, but 8am works most of the for to squeeze in.

This is a super cute spot serving central/downtown Las Vegas. We popped in about 12:30 on MLK Day and waited about 10 minutes for our table. The service was friendly but the place felt loud--I felt a little over stimulated by the conversations happening all around me. It's a giant open room with not much to filter the sound. Food wise, the malted milk pancakes are exceptional!!! If you go I insist you order them, you won't regret it. The green chilie turkey sandwich was hands down one of the best hot sandwiches I've ever eaten. The fires were average so next time I'll definitely try the potato salad. Lastly, when ordering chicken fried steak you actually have the option to choose pork instead, so we did. Glad we tried it, as it's nice to switch things up. The food was great, so I'll definitely be back. The last few things to mention about Winnie and Ethel's that I didn't love so much was the water they serve you is Lake Mead's finest. Next time I'll bring my own bottled water. The coffee wasn't my favorite and the iced tea was terrible. Maybe it all circles back to the water they're using, but potentially upgrading to a better filtration system could be a game changer. Despite all that, I'll definitely be back!

We saw this place featured on Instagram. We were follow some Las Vegas influences to find off the strip places to go try. This place did not disappoint. Try the half and half biscuits and gravy. Splurge and get some eggs on top! I wasn't sure about the chorizo gravy, but WOW. Amazing. There was a 1 hour wait, but we managed to get seats at the bar. Found out you can go online to get on the waitlist in advance. The place is adorable just like someone's grandma's house. The coffee mugs will add a smile to your face. The owners couldn't have been nicer. The wait staff was so friendly and helpful even though the place was packed!!

I have several favorite breakfast spots in the world. Winnie & Ethyl's Diner has ( in just this first visit) jumped into my top two on this Continent. We went as part of a special "Experience"; Breakfast for Dinner. We got to learn about the history, the cooking process, the inclusion of malt, and also flip our own pancakes in their working kitchen. How has the Culinary world not yet granted them highest number of stars (or diamonds) that are possible for a modern diner? Such enthusiasm from the owners infuses the entire experience. And the food ... Oooooh, the food! The BEST flippin' pancakes I have ever eaten. Fat and fluffy extra large pillows of love. Ohhhh, and that maple butter is to die for ! The coffee is superb and the fruit is super fresh. I simply cannot wait to go back. Malt pancakes at Winnie & Ethyl's beats out Sourdough pancakes in Alaska and dollar pancakes in San Francisco. Las Vegans are fortunate to have such a great, affordable option in their realm.
