Windy City Beefs N Dogs

My hometown is Chicago. I grew up in a City known for its variety of different ethnic foods and cuisines. Italian Beef Sandwiches are one of my favorites. Today, my cousin, also a native Chicagoan, and I had to get our Italian beef sandwich fix! We are both very picky about our Italian beef sandwich! It has to be authentic, Chicago style! Windy City Beefs N Dogs delivered again perfectly! We have been getting our beefs and hot dogs there for the last five years and have never been disappointed.I had the 7" beef, wet with sweet peppers and extra au jus. An order of perfect French Fries and a soda were added. My Cousin ordered a beef and sausage combo with a side of au jus and giardinere, fries and a drink. Needless to say, we both sat at an outside table and devoured our delicious lunches! If you need a Chicago beef sandwich or Hot Dog fix, Windy City is the place to go and get it!!!

The Chicago Italian Beef sandwich was tender, juicy deliciousness. We ordered wet and the hotest level of heat...it was perfect. Although, the bread was wet we were still able to pick up.The french fries were not good, we asked for crispy but they were overdone.The cashier was nice. The server was very attentive to our needs.There was so much history displayed on the walls very nice.

Haven't been here in a while and wanted to try it out again. I ordered wings, fries, a pizza pocket/roll and my husband ordered some kind of beef sandwich. My wings were fried hard, per my request, however my fries were also overdone- which isn't what I wanted... they were also not hot. We waited 25ish min for our food, most likely bc of my wings, so that was a tad much seeing everyone else who came in before us come and go. It's a long and narrow restaurant with seating mainly against the wall. It was clean though. The staff were also pleasant.

Ambiance, very lovely. All the Chicago memorabilia and decor is lovely! Now, as a Chicago native born and raised. This Italian beef is disappointing and will never be ordered again! In all my life I have never had an Italian beef I had to eat with a FORK! And trust me we OFTEN get our beef dipped with extra au jus. This bread is not it. Got soooo soggy it taste like raw dough the most appetizing part of the meal was the skinny French fries. Woman at register was friendly. Chicago peeps, beware!

I'm by no means a hot dog connoisseur, but Windy City has me convinced they have the best hot dogs in town. My fiance had been wanting to try this place for the past few weeks and we thought yesterday would be our perfect opportunity. I was so surprised by how great everything was. I really had no expectations going into this place, as I thought it was just a random order at the counter type restaurant, but the staff was amazing. The gentleman was so cool, and explained the difference of some of the hot dogs they had and how they cooked them differently. I thought it was really nice for him to take the time to talk to us about that, because otherwise we would've never had any clue. The food was awesome. I had to try the classic Chicago Hot Dog, obviously, and I was obsessed. It came with tomatoes, relish, a pickle, and peppers and the toppings were generous and tasty. I really really can't wait to come back. They also have this fun calendar where there's a different deal/discount every day. I'll upload a picture of the August 2024 calendar, so hopefully if one of the days applies to you, you can go in a claim your deal!! Definitely recommend stopping in!

There don't seem to be a lot of spots in Vegas that churn out Chicago specialties. Sure, there are a couple of Giordano's. But overall that seems to be about it. Or so I thought! I noticed Windy City Been N Dogs recently and decided to give them a shot on Memorial Day. Hey, I wanted a hot dog but we don't have a grill yet. So let's do it Chicago style!This place definitely feels like an old Chicago hot dog joint. Everyone was super friendly, and the line moved pretty quick. I ordered the #2, which is 2 Chicago dogs with everything and fries. All out the door I think it was about $13. Not a bad price for a taste of home.The fries were solid. I wish they were a little bit hotter, but the serving was pretty fair all things considered. The dogs were absolutely delicious. The sesame seed bun was really soft and tasty, and the dogs had a great snap to them. And it's always great to see that green relish.This really filled me up, I was surprised. The price might be a tad bit high for some, but I didn't have any issue paying it for the quality that you receive. Going to try a polish and a pizza puff the next time I swing by. If it's anything like the dogs, it will be well worth the trip.

Reminds me of home and I love to stop in to get some comfort food. Great and quick service in a casual atmosphere.

One of the BEST Hotdogs I've had in a while. This is only 10 minutes from my house but today I decided to go in and it was GREAT. THE HOTDOG has a casing that actually snaps just like back east. The bun is steamed to perfection and the toppings are just right.

A disappointment today at WCBND; I've been once before and enjoyed the polish dog but today a much different story.First the good: Fantastic fries, freshly cut and plentiful. The chili was tasty, mild but good. The hot dog roll like the fries are in a league of its own so there are some positives here.Now the bad: The centerpiece of my footlong chili cheese dog with onions was two, six inch dogs that had clearly been sitting too long, probably in a warm pot of water. These dogs had a weird palor to them and were devoid of any flavor, none. notta. I was having late lunch around 3pm so that may explain some of this?Service is fast and personable and the atmosphere is nothing to write home about but perfectly adequate. I'll try them again sometime but in no rush to do so.
