After meeting some friends who live in Vegas to play for a bit in the casino, I really had to get something to eat. One of the friends I met said Viva was pretty good so I decided to give it a shot. I ordered the enchilada combo and upgraded it to add chips and salsa for a buck. The enchiladas with shredded beef were nice and cheesy so that part was great. The beans and rice on the other hand...well.. not so great. The spanish rice was some of the worst I've had in a while. Maybe I'm just spoiled because of all the great Mexican food at inexpensive spots in SoCal but this was no bueno. The chips were plentiful and crispy and the mild salsa was tasty so no complaints there. No need to order a large drink if you're dining there since refills are free. I had to take my food over to the bar next door since all the tables were occupied. There was one girl who was finished eating but continued to sit at the table for 5 on her phone, not caring that people were looking for a place to eat. She was still there after I had finished and returned to throw my trash away. Rather annoying but oh well. Service was good and the cashier and cook were pleasant so props there. Bill came out to $14 and change so reasonable for a casino. I'd be willing to come back and try their other items but I'll keep it a la carte and skip the rice and beans.

We go to Sunset Station quite a bit, but this was the first time trying Viva Salsa. A lot of times, this little shop is not open, so I don't know what their hours are, probably later in the day. Today, they were open, and we were hungry. We looked at the menu and the food looks really good, and the prices are very fair! We ordered a 3 Taco Plate, and chose shredded beef as the protein. The plate also came with refried beans and rice. For an extra .99, I added tortilla chips and salsa, and for another additional .99, upgraded to a large drink. Total ended up about $14! The service was great, especially being that it was a one person operation. Great job! The food itself was ok, nothing great, but it was good! Everything was fresh, and there is a small salsa bar that you help yourself. So sorry, I didn't take any pics this time.

Well was at the casino for a day of football, got hungry at about halftime. So decided on some Enchiladas, from VIva Salsa inside sunset casino. The service was timely and friendly and helpful. There is a tiny seating area there about 5 or 10 tables with 2 seats at them. I am not a big Enchiladas fan, but these were pretty good. I did how ever really like the refried beans (chefs kiss) Would I eat there again yes sure if in the casino and want Mexican food it was decent. I would go back there But I definitely would not go out of my way for it, there are plenty of better Mexican restaurants in Vegas.

I was born and raised in Southern CA, so I am very picky with Mexican food. The street tacos here are just as good as the ones in Los Angeles. These are SO good! I always need to have some every time I am out here. The carne asada is so flavorful. This time I had my grandpa with me, and he really enjoyed his cheese enchiladas. I felt bad for the lady who was working, as she was all alone. It was pretty busy, and it was a Friday. There should have been at least 2 employees. This is located right next to Rosalitas Cantina, so the ambiance is lively and fun.

A small, 3 mesas, cafe tucked away, inconspicuously in a quiet corner.... The meals are made to order and the quality and freshness are as good or better than most. The flavours are authentic and will be agreeable to most palates; nothing too spicy. The SalSaS are kept refrigerated and come in three varieties; verde, picante, and fresca. The combo meals are all priced at about $6-$8 and for $2 more you can substitute cerveza for the soft-drink. I would like to see onion/cilantro relish, hot-sauce packets and also grilled chilies offered on-the-side to round-out the flavours. Give yourself plenty of time to sit and enjoy the relaxing ambiance; you may find that there is limited staffing which results in longer wait times. Buen apetito amigos! P.S. There is another Viva Salsa location at Boulder Station. There, the staffing seems more consistent and the beer selection is larger, but the ambiance is not as relaxing.

I've been here twice for lunch and was blown away at how good the food was. I ordered the #5 Enchilada plate and a #3 Taco plate for my friend. I honestly expected a mediocre meal, but the beans and rice were really flavorful! We both looked up at each other with surprise when we took that bite. I originally chose a shredded chicken and shredded beef enchilada on my first visit and both were fantastic! This time around, I chose the same plate, but they were out of shredded chicken, so I asked for grilled. The cashier said that it's an extra dollar. Normally, I'm like whatever on the upcharge, but this time I asked, "It's still an extra dollar even though you're out of shredded chicken?!" She said, "Yeah, sorry." That's just dumb to me...if you don't have the regular shredded chicken that comes with the dish for the customer to get and ALL you have IS the grilled, then why the hell would you upcharge when there clearly isn't a choice in the matter?!! The prices are decent and the quality of food is worth it to me. I've had worse Mexican food that cost more. Even their side dishes are well priced at 99 cents for a side of ride or beans. You and I both know that other Mexican restaurants will charge upwards of $3- $5 for a side of rice or beans and many of them have no flavor.Besides that, other reviewers are correct in regards to the service. It can be a hit or miss and it all depends on what kind of mood the workers are in. Some things they do can be considered as rude, believe me, but for the most part they are okay.

This is a convenient little Mexican cafe inside the Sunset Station casino. The staff is friendly and the atmosphere is great. There aren't many tables available, but you can sit and eat next door in Rosalita's, where there is often live music. My boyfriend and I had the taco salad. The salad itself isn't huge but it comes with rice, beans, and a drink. It tasted pretty good, and it was plenty filling. A pretty good value for the price. I would definitely eat there again.
