Hadn't been here since the last week it was open as the Hard Rock back in Feb 2020. Came in on an early flight Friday 8am and they were able to check me in my room (great when a hotel is not too busy). This was the lull weekend between the porn convention and Super Bowl.So let's start with all the pluses. Able to accommodate early check in and got a quiet Corner King in the Opal Tower. It is the furthest from the pool, Casino, and Harmon Blvd. Located a 20 min walk from the Strip, it is the closest hotel to Harry Reid Airport and is great if you want to avoid the traffic and craziness of the Strip on the weekend. Like its predecessor, the casino doesn't attract a super busy gambling crowd. The hotel clientele is a good classy mix of all types from goth edgy, to party people to older Hilton type members ( I'm not a fan of the other Hilton Strip properties). Very underrated aspect is they are partners with Lyft and their ride share area is not a crazed traffic jam!!!The room was tastefully decorated and the bathroom was large and spacious. I prefer white walls and modern styled rooms which is very fitting of the Virgin style. We had an unobstructed 180 degree view of the strip from the Stratosphere and Fontainebleau to Mandalay although you see the vastness of the construction in the foreground. Although we didn't eat in the hotel, Nobu and Kassi smelled great. We just used the Funny Library, Dunkin Donuts and the Juice Bar (great smoothies but only open early). Although it was cold out, the heated pool had limited hours ( jumped in while others took a nap) and again having that pool area to myself in February without massive Spring Break crowds was so peaceful. The hotel is really a summer time hotel when they have bands performing in the theater. I had seen Santana as well as John Mayer (private party) when it was under HRC management. It is more commonly known as a host hotel for EDC and the AVN show ( we did see a few stragglers as we checked in we think)Again was looking for a little quiet off the strip in a modern and tasteful room and it was great. Now the few small issues. 1) Rm 30439 had some small notes: 1. light fixture outside the room was missing. 2. The privacy door between the entry and the bedroom always swung open to a 45 degree angle. You can see in one photo It is propped open by orange chair. 3. Found some panties behind curtains (lol souvenir from a star?!) 4. Staff didn't seem to know room numbers. 1st day asked the chambermaid in the hall for a couple extra towels. She was just 10 ft away and pointed and said 400? And I corrected and said 439. She said she'd leave it while I was out. After dinner, someone had been in the room (cleared our minibar for some reason) and no new towels. So simply called desk and they had extra towels delivered. Next day I ran into a separate chambermaid at 10am and let her know my room was available to be cleaned. I left the green light on the door for service too. She didn't speak English but asked me to put room # down on paper which I did. Green light was on all day and when I got back at 11pm nobody had serviced the room) Hmmm. Only other thing I'd recommend is that some Hilton properties have Pelotons. Would be nice to have Pelotons in this one although the exercise room was pretty small. That said, all in all.... Came away from trip satisfied and would stay again if I needed an off-strip spotOh and just a note for those who are taking a cab from the airport. It is a $21 flat fee for what should be a $10 ride. Ask your driver to take you to Liquor World for a good tip if you want to save some money and make some drinks and buy snacks for your room.

Let's start with the fact that I come to Vegas 1-3x/year and that I pretty much stay exclusively at the Encore. Because it's winter time and I had so much love for the Hard Rock back when it was awesome, I figured, let's give Virgin Hotels a try. For me, I won't be back. First, I arrived on a Saturday when the rodeo was across the street. Yet it's a ghost town. At the casino, drink service at the BJ tables is slow. They're just not prioritizing alcohol. As for the room, the bathroom is small and tight. You have to walk into the bathroom, then maneuver yourself before you can close the door. The safe didn't work so security had to come to fix it. I left my room at 9:15am and asked to have the room cleaned. I got back at 6:30pm to discover no one had cleaned it. Which is shocking because housekeeping was only a few doors down when I left in the morning. No robe. TV operating system was bad. No room service. The one awesome thing was that they offer a free "fitness" class each day. I participated in a meditation that was really great.

Very few restaurants were open in the hotel - very short operation hours. Given the off strip location, this was very inconvenient. The front desk was able to upgrade us to a higher floor due to my Hilton status. However, the room was not as clean as it should - stains on the vanity, stains and pubic hair in the shower and on bedding. The union strike was noisy and loud outside the hotel (we didn't know there was a strike, we would've booked a different hotel) The only highlight was Kassi - great food. We will be back for Kassi but not for lodging.I also noticed there was a $250 charge on my card but did not receive a receipt in the email. I called the front desk and was informed that those are a combination of things - taxes, room revenues (assuming resort fees?), bar charge. I would've preferred to have this information when we checked out with the front desk in person. We should've received $60 of food & bev credit as a Hilton Gold status benefit but I only saw $30 applied - front desk advised I will need to call back Monday 9am to speak to the Accounting department. Overall, I expected a more seamless and positive experience at Virgin Hotels.

We enjoyed our stay here. It's a huge hotel and casino, and it's easy to get lost, but we figured out our way around pretty fast. Our room was a corner room and had a great view of the Strip. The bed was incredibly comfortable, the room was immaculate, and the bathroom was huge with a luxurious shower. And I can't wait to go back!

I have mixed feelings writing this review because of the hotel strike that is currently going on. The hotel itself is nice (heard it's newly renovated), modern and clean. There are a number of food options to suit every budget (causal to fancy) within the hotel and every employee I encountered was friendly and helpful. The hotel is close to Uber/Lyft anywhere on The Strip and the pool is vast and modern (although it's too cold to go in). The beds were comfortable and clean, and the shower pressure and temperature was a thumbs up. I wish someone informed us prior to our stay there is an active strike for it was jarring to hear loud yelling and name calling (losers and scabs) as we drove into the hotel and constant noise throughout the day and night. Granted once inside the hotel it was quiet, but walking outside or to your car the strike noise volume was agitating. It would've been a very pleasant stay otherwise.

Off-strip location makes this a great spot if you want a quality and affordable vegas hotel experience. The former HardRock hotel turned Virgin is our go to when we come to Vegas. It's near the Formula 1 Paddock, Top Golf and down the street from the strip. It's quiet, colorful and a great spot with a. Quick trip to and from the airport. Three towers snuggle a large pool area that appears to be recently refreshed. There are convention spaces, multiple restaurants, bars and club spaces. A large arena that was once home to many Vegas showcases and now features the likes of Shaboozey. Two large parking decks and a quiet elite check in space for the ruby tower allow you to bypass the long lines at the main check in area. New gaming area is often quiet and what appears to be construction toUpdate many of the "show" spaces. The rooms are fine. Beds are huge as are the bathrooms. The corner suites are great with lots of room and plenty of windows. Standard rooms are fine but nothing special. They now charge a resort fee which seems new in the last year. $40 = ouch. Hilton affiliating gives you points although I will say, they don't really cater to the Hilton elites. They don't acknowledge your status or do anything to make you feel any more valued than the standard parade of customers so adjust your expectations there.

Solid 4. This hotel is off the strip so not as easy to get to main attractions, but we took an Uber where we needed to go. We stayed in the Ruby tower which the rooms were pretty and spacious. My hubby did his routine critter inspection and found no issues here. We had a lovely view from our room on the 10th floor and staff is courteous. My biggest complaint is the walls are thin. A family was staying next door and we could hear their kids cry for a couple hours. I have kids of my own so I didn't complain but when I'm in Vegas I don't want to hear everything happening in the room next door.

We did not stay here, only came for a comedy show which was very good. The Virgin Theatre is a nice and cozy theatre and any seat you choose is a good seat in the house. We will be back!

To be honest, I didn't have the best experience here. Don't get me wrong, everyone on staff was very friendly and I enjoyed the resort casino, but the room could have been better and it wasn't close enough to the strip for my liking. I've never had an issue when booking through Hilton before. Until this time. The room I booked was supposed to have a tub. It didn't and I was given a room with an accessible shower. The main shower head only dribbled low pressure water and there was a handheld shower head at a lower angle. I couldn't take a proper shower after a long day of hiking. The room was fine otherwise. It had some modern charm. I would have liked a mini fridge, but I won't get hung up on that. The view was also non-existent, unless you like looking at an empty roof. The A/C wasn't the best either. Okay, maybe the room wasn't that good. While being located off the strip means a somewhat quieter area, I wish it were closer. Due to construction and closed sidewalks, it took about 30 minutes each way to walk to the strip. You had to walk through some sketchy areas to get there too. The icing on the cake was that the elevator was not working in the morning. I came back from loading my car and everytime you pushed a floor button, it blinked and didn't do anything. My room was right near the elevators and I was told to walk around to the other side of the tower, since there aren't any accessible stairwells. One positive note was that I appreciated the free self parking here. I wanted to like this place better. I do give the staff members and bartenders credit for being very helpful and friendly. That salvaged this from being a worse experience.Maybe I'm better off sticking to Wyndham hotels since I'm a diamond level member there and I've always had better luck with bookings.

I recently booked a two-night stay at the Virgin Hotel, but I had to check out at 6 AM on the first day due to completely unacceptable room conditions. The room was filthy--dog hair covered the couch and other areas, there were stains on the walls, and I even found a used water bottle under the bed. The air quality was so bad that I couldn't breathe properly or get any sleep. When I requested a room change, the hotel informed me they were fully booked and couldn't move me until later. Staying another night was not an option, and I wasn't about to wait around in a dirty room for hours hoping for a new one.At checkout, the front desk agent assured me that I would get a refund for the unused night, saying that Booking.com just needed to call and confirm. However, when Booking.com tried to contact the hotel, Virgin Hotel didn't even answer their phones. To make matters worse, I never even received a receipt via email--just a survey. It's been two weeks, and I still haven't gotten my money back for the night I didn't stay. I reported this to Booking.com a week ago, and I have yet to hear back from either the hotel or Booking.com.The lack of communication and accountability is beyond frustrating. The hotel was disgusting, and their customer service is just as bad. I do not recommend staying here, and I'm extremely disappointed in both Virgin Hotel and Booking.com for their failure to address this issue. If you value cleanliness, responsiveness, and basic hospitality, stay somewhere else.
