Vanilla Rice's Hibachi House to go

Always delicious. I've been here a few times and the only inconsistency is the portion of meat that you get. Fried rice is awesome! Highly recommend. I will say, the only negative is that there's no convenient spot to wait for your food and there is always a relatively long wait time.

I first heard about Vanilla Rice's Hibachi House through my boot camp gym, where the owner, Zach "Vanilla Rice" Tolen, was in one of my boot camp classes just recently. This place is located on Flamingo and Pecos, in an older side of Las Vegas that I usually don't frequent as much, unless I'm visiting my family friend and her son, who live literally right around the corner from here.Please keep in mind that this is a to-go place ONLY - there are absolutely no dine-in options here. My boyfriend went inside to go get the food and he told me when he got back out to the car that there was only one chair inside. I could already tell that the food was going to be yummy because I could smell their hibachi from the car.We placed an order through DoorDash prior to heading out. We ordered a side of potstickers with a drizzle of yum yum sauce, a steak bowl, and a chicken burrito. DoorDash told us that it would be ready in about 15-20 minutes, with the drive there taking about 20 minutes. Our order was not exactly ready when we got there, in which we waited an additional 10-15 minutes. The potstickers were really good, but I felt that the yum yum sauce was a bit on the sweet side. The chicken burrito had a mix of rice and noodles inside, including a variety of vegetables. I ended up nicknaming it the "Chinese Burrito" due to its' ingredients. I was really enjoying my burrito...until I came towards the end of it. Some of the noodles at the bottom were dry/not cooked all the way through and I came really close to chipping a tooth as a result. Luckily I didn't. My boyfriend enjoyed his steak bowl, which basically had the same ingredients as my burrito, except he had steak and not chicken. He said that he had some dry noodles towards the end of his bowl as well.It was also expensive compared to the quality of the food we received, so my final star rating here is a 3. I would've given it a 4 if it weren't for the dry noodles. Sorry Vanilla Rice. :(

Im so glad we have this place a shot. I was drawn in by the name. I thought it was hilarious. We got our food "to go". I don't like to eat in restaurants because I physically can't eat enough to warrant two meals (surgery to repair my esophagus had some poor post surgical outcomes). It's often a whole thing for restaurants to let us split, and it's kind of embarrassing because they always think it's because we're cheap. I'm just not wasteful. My husband and I split the steak & salmon, plus a pot sticker appetizer.I reeeeally wish I could have ate more than what a toddler would eat. It was sooooo delicious.Everything had such a rich flavor profile to it. I am so glad we tried this place! Next time we're in Vegas we'll definitely return!

Ordered the Chicken & Salmon combo. Honestly I was very disappointed in the food. I literally only got two pieces of broccoli. The rice had hard pieces of rice which made it very unpleasant to eat. Portions are very small. If you're paying $35+ I'd expect better. Shrinkflation for sure. Not coming back would not recommend.

I use to really love this place but, I guess the portion sizes have really changed lately. It's normally pretty packed with steak but, not so much now. It's a shame. Looking at the difference is pretty stark.

If you're craving delicious hibachi food without the fuss of the whole show, this is your place. It's an easy grab and go option that offers take out and delivery. (Aka no seating inside)The portions are very generous. I had enough for two meals with their two meat entree. The steak and noodles were my favorite. I loved how buttery everything was and the sauces are great.

The owner of this shop I knew him when he was so young and not old enough to drink. He worked at a sushi bar but he cooked on Hibachi. But the Ambiance is a what you make it in your house cause you don't eat the no clean up. And Mandy and Garret run things make sure everyone leaves happy. Vanilla Rice the Brother from a different mother. We miss you because you use to make our Anniversary nicer. Keep it up Brother!!!!

Went to this place today. Ordered the chicken and salmon plate. The food was pretty good, but for the price the portions are very very small.

Amazing food amazing staff, the steak is cooked to perfection and the shrimp is so savory and delicious 100 percent recommended.

I came here a few weeks ago food was great, however the reason I gave a one star review was because of the customer service. The cashier seemed high, and started arguing with one of the other employees while taking my order, cussing, I heard a racial word as well. It ruined the ambiance the nature of the restaurant had. On my receipt, the cashier's name was Key. Please do something about this. Thank you.Update for the response: I think the food was truly good, the cook seemed nice. It was just the cashier that threw me onto the review, this is not the first time I heard something like this happen here and just hoping for growth and success for the restaurant. Cashiers are the second face of the business and it's disrespectful to us when she's yelling and cussing. Especially to us that have kids. I rated it a little bit better but this review is for people to see the problem that I had and to hopefully either show change or to warn people about who is bringing the atmosphere down.
