I've been visiting this place for 8-9 years, and I moved out of the area a bit ago. A few days ago I had the chance to revisit this place, and was over the moon when I noticed it was still open. It's an incredibly small spot with very little to offer visually, but that never mattered to me. After ordering I was literally salivating thinking about how good the food used to be, as this place was my first exposure to Japanese Katsu and Curry, as well. I'm so pleased to share that the quality has remained just as incredible so many years later. The chicken katsu has the kind of crunch you dream about biting into, with the cuts of chicken wonderfully thick and juicy beneath the layer of crispy goodness. There's a huge bed of rice between the generous portion of katsu, and a little side salad too. It's more than enough to take home and enjoy a second serving. The curry is authentic and nicely sweet if you order it mild like I do, and the combo of flavor is to die for, even all of these years later. Other items on the menu that are reliably good are the teriyaki bowls and the ramen, but I highly recommend stopping in for the katsu. This place has withstood the test of time for good reason. It's not the fanciest meal you'll ever have, but man is it one of the best place to get authentic Japanese food. I'm so happy that it's still around and I hope it remains for many years to come.

The first notable thing was the signs saying "please don't break in, there's nothing of value kept inside." Man that's tough. Hopefully it's a good deterrent? Food is on line with quick casual place. I think too good is probably the best option. Menu is homey and the ambience is lots of tsotchke. Service was fine and they get your food out really quickly.

Wow, it's been 3 years since my last review on Tokyo Cafe and I'm here to say...I'm still a fan and so is my fam! This is a great spot for meat eaters and vegetarians alike. For tonight's order we went with the vegetable fried rice, vegetable udon, tofu katsu curry and chicken cutlet curry to go. I just called in my order and it was ready in under 15 minutes and everything is hot and fresh. The young lady who works the register was cleaning up some newly emptied tables when I walked in, and she went right up to the counter to help me pay. Always fast and efficient service here, and the food is always good. Be back again soon!

Tokyo Cafe is a good casual ramen and curry restaurant in North Las Vegas. This is a small restaurant with only a few tables inside and a high top counter. Soft beverages and boba are served here.Short story - The food is GOOD and portions are generous and prices are low. But it's GOOD but not the best.Longer story-I tried the chicken katsu curry. I thought it was nice that you can pick mild or spicy and I went with spicy. There was a lot that I liked about the plate. You get a double layer of chicken that was fresh made to order and was fried to perfection. They also gave me enough rice to feed a small family. The sauce was good but on the thick side.My husband tried the Tonkatsu Ramen and it was pretty good. He got jammy eggs in it (that aren't marinated) The noodles were prepared nicely but are like spaghetti noodles (not the chewy style that we are used to with ramen) He said that the pork in it was pretty good too.The person working there seemed nice and was efficient.Three stars is a positive review on Yelp and translates to A-OK3.5 stars

Food is amazing! Definitely recommend the chicken katsu and tonkotsu ramen. Service was nice, I liked how they put signs of how they wont remake your food if it's literally how you ordered it. This restaurant is underrated and should be appreciated more. The restaurant gave off a cozy japanese vibe. I love how this restaurant feels and looks. Would recommend this if you're craving japanese food.

I have a pretty hard and fast rule that if I immediately throw out my leftovers from a restaurant, they weren't good. The flavors were weak & the sauce of the chow mein noodles was thin and watery. There was also a lot of it to the point where it was like we were eating low quality soup, which we already had an order of with this meal. The interior of the restaurant was kind of dingy and the service was not particularly accommodating. There was no particular thing that was outrageously bad but it was pretty gross and we'll never eat there again

Wow one of the best teriyakis I have had. They also have steamed veggies instead of a salad. Highly recommend, the sauce was good and not super sweet.
