If you're a sushi lover and haven't discovered this hidden gem yet, you're missing out! Tokyo Boys is tucked away in an unassuming diner, but once you step inside, you'll immediately feel like you've found your new favorite spot. The fish here is consistently fresh--like, so fresh it practically melts in your mouth. You can taste the quality in every bite, whether you're going for traditional nigiri or rolls. But it's not just about the fish--the service here is outstanding. Don't let the low-key location fool you; this place delivers on every level!

One thing I've learned throughout the years is that you can't judge the food quality by a restaurant's initial appearance. But dang, this Japanese izakaya really took the cake with its chrome retro diner exterior and its glowing red Tokyo Boys signage and diner booths. Upon entry however, the vibes felt like a casual izakaya: welcoming, full of regulars at the sushi bar, and home-like. I decided to take a chance on some of the 1 piece nigiris (saba, benitoro, madai, harame, tamago, amaebi with a lightly fried head), a negitoro handroll, and 1 special oyster of the day (believe it was a kushi oysterday). My sushi was chef's kiss - so fresh and melt in your mouth good. The negitoro handroll was also the biggest handrolls I've ever had, jam-packed with fatty tuna pieces. I could've eaten two of those and would've happily called it a day.My friend ordered a negitoro handroll, an omakase appetizer (chef's choice of what 3 appetizers you were going to get), and a Japanese lasagna. The omakase appetizer was more adventurous than what I was expecting my friend to go for, but she said that she enjoyed all of it -- even the jellyfish appetizer. She also said liked the lasagna, which was a baked roll filled with crab, avocado, and cheese, and the handroll also pushed her into the point of no return (in terms of fullness). We definitely slept happy that night. The service was great from beginning to end. When the omakase appetizer initially came out, the server who brought the dish didn't tell us what things were. Another server came by and asked if the dishes were explained to us, and then identified each dish.I will be dragging some of my Vegas locals here next time I visit.

The stars led me to Tokyo Boy and I was delighted to see some of Vegas biggest foodies doing their thing at the bar upon my arrival. The fish is definitely fresh and the servings were pretty decent in size. I ordered a few sushi rolls, yellowtail, salmon, and tuna sashimi. The service was very slow but otherwise an overall great experience.

You pull up to this place and see that it's an old diner, and you think to yourself, "What have I gotten myself into?"Some of the finest Sushi fish in the Western United States, that's what. Yes, it's an old diner, but that's where the doubt ends. You walk in and are immediately greeted by the chefs, and taken to a table. you sit down and you think you are at the Tsujuki Fish Market in Tokyo. The owner, Hiro, was originally part of the team of restaurant professionals at Osaka, Nobu, Blue Ribbon, Bar Masa and American Fish before starting this gem. Much of the fish served at Tokyo Boys if flown in fresh from Japan- and it shows. The fish is some of the freshest and tastiest Sushi I have ever had. While it's a ways from the Strip, it is worth the cost and time to get here- and while there are good Sushi restaurants on the Strip, I feel this place is even better and the cost is much lower. I usually come with a group and we have a blast eating and drinking, and the staff is excellent. Chef Hiro himself comes to the table to check in. and that speaks volumes how much he cares about his food and customers. We usually have Omakase style- they just bring food until we say stop. If you want to get off the strip and have some of the best Sushi you've ever eaten in relaxed atmosphere, this is your place.Kanpai!!

The gyoza was really flavorful and delicious. Loved it. The sushi rolls are also very flavor and tasted fresh. Service was good and I'd go back again for sure.

The hubby told me about this place and wanted to visit after many years. This place is a hidden gem tucked away in Henderson. The exterior looked like a cafe and when you enter it had booths like a cafe. It wasn't busy at the time but we sat in a booth and ordered. The service was pretty good and attentive. The food came by super fast. Each dish was fresh if it was raw or cooked perfectly. Definitely a place to try again especially if you're a local.

The restaurant was a surprise. When you look from outside it looks like a diner. Seems like it used to be a diner at some time. But the food was great and the service as well. They are friendly and cordial. Very good service as well. Of all the food we ordered, the spider sushi was a little dry and under par. Everything else was great.

Truly a hidden gem.I think this is one of the top Japanese restaurants in all of Vegas. I'm sad I only discovered it now and hope they continue the legacy here as it seems like it's their 11th anniversary. My husband and I were both blown away by so many aspects here... the cleanliness of the restaurant even though it is old/outdated, the miso broth, the radish that was knife cut, and having no POS hahaha.Food was so good. Sososososo good I can't explain enough. Just go if you are debating! The quality, freshness is unbeatable. The servers were very friendly but the service itself can be improved. We asked if the ten don sauce comes on the side because that's what we want and our server said yes. But it came with the sauce poured in already so I was a bit bummed out. They also forgot to charge our beers so we told them to put it inWe ended with the matcha creme brulee but it was way too bitter and watery. The food was too good tho so I don't care about the dessert at this point either lol

I've been reviewing Tokyo Boys for many years now, close to a decade. I've always respected and enjoyed it's ultra high level of Sushi, and service. I continue to do so to this day.
