The Yellow Penthouse

This place is awesome if you're looking for a nice clean place to stay that is very cheap! The place is set up like a hostel as you share a kitchen, but you have your own private room that is very comfortable! The place is secure and clean, new Roku TV to watch Netflix, and a big kitchen to make your own food!The owner/host was so nice and helpful, he made us feel really welcomed and accommodated to anything we needed. It's in a location you wouldn't expect but it's very safe with parking on site or on the quiet street!Highly recommend this place if your looking for a clean, comfy, and well priced place to stay!

For us this place was perfect. It's basically an upscale hostel. Our room had two twin beds, a big closet, a tv and a space heater (good because I'm always cold). You are the commons (kitchen, bathroom and living room) with a few other guest. The kitchen is great for making your own coffee in the morning or making a nice cooked meal yourself. There was no front office. The owner simply called me ahead of time and told me to call him when we arrived. After arriving to the Yellow Penthouse I called him back and he met us in less than 3 minutes. The man was extremely nice and showed us around the room. I would definitely recommend this to anyone. So cheap for what you get. Side note the area where you would expect a hotel to be but we felt completely safe and comfortable.

I have stayed maybe at 100 hotels . And there was my worst experience so far. I made reservation in October in December I was notified in email that my reservation was canceled because my credit was declined. Right away I verified with my credit card company that no charge was even attempted to be put through let a lone be declined. I called to booking.com where I made a reservation and next day man from this hotel called me i gave him Credit card information and he charged money from me, and I received an email confirmation that 50$ was charged and I was notified that my reservation is back on by both booking.com and the hotel over the phone. The day when I landed in vegas I tried checking in online only to find out that they don't have any reservations and they fully booked for today. And than when we ended up found that they charged 50$ from me they told me if I want to stay I have to pay 200$. And I had to spend hours on the phone with booking.com at 10 pm to find a place where I could stay that night.

This a great place to stay at if you want to save some serious cash. There's a bus stop just outside down the road that will take you to Fremont. You get your own room with free wifi, Amazon video, Hulu, Netflix, Roku. You share the kitchen and bathroom & shower with others on your floor. The beds are comfy too. Just use caution if you go outside at night. Other than that, stay here if you want to save and travel on a budget!

I just want to say how professional and clean they are here at this hotel I've stayed in alot of places here in Vegas and i have to say the management here treat you with respect and i can't get over how clean they are here and they greeted myself my wife and 5 yr old daughter with open arms I'll definitely will be coming back again and again and will recommend this place to friends and family thanks guys

They act as if they are helping by renting that rat infected hole in the wall. When I was moving, I need to be off the property before I get my deposit back. And to me that didn't sound. So I told him just as I pay on time, is just like I want my money. I never was late on my rent. So I couldn't have to wait for my money.

This is a building that has multiple 2 bedroom apartments. You rent a room not a suite. You share the bathroom, livingroom and kitchen with a total stranger. Our room was cold. Window in bathroom was broken. No smoke dectectors! Very shady place. Was not an enjoyable weekend for the price i paid.

Josue and Art are amazing! Their property is always diligently cleaned on a daily basis, providing an immaculate environment for your stay. It's affordable, comfortable & secure. The gate is locked at all times, whenever you go in or out you lock it behind you which prevents anyone without a key to have access to get in. Besides, there's a surveillance camera there as well for added security. All in all, my family & I love staying here and appreciate them having us as guests!

I don't have anything positive to say but here are the negatives. They first wanted to charge me $15 for an early 1 hour only early check in. 1 bathroom for 4 separate rental rooms so as many as 8 people for 1 bathroom. They don't clean daily..They said multiple times and keep in mind Everytime they said it I said I don't own a video game..Not since Atari.. They repeated for some reason No video games hooked to their internet or they charge you more than the $15 a day that they already do for wifi (yes no joke but 8 people for 1 bathroom). They said they monitor wifi use and they will know because the usage will spike..however No replacement of bath towels for multiple nightsor bed sheets. I was smoking on the sidewalk one of the owners annoyed me to go in the yard to smoke every time I smoked OUTSIDE and away from the house..that was insufficient as far as they were concerned..oh and The yard is crappy..but I went to the anyway. When it was time to check out at 11am one of them knocked on my door and said Check Out is now are you ready to go...then their niece cleans the rooms only after you leave for next guest..She wouldn't clean while customers are there but at 11am she came in and started cleaning around me while I was trying to zip my bag..i heard her talking and she wanted to go with her friends somewhere so she was in a hurry but excuse me we are paying guests can you wait a moment so I gather my stuff..she was in such a hurry she just ripped the bedding off the bed where I put the key..she takes everything across the street and during her ripping bedding she loses the key and now they blame me and charge me $25 for lost key..i argued with them and they threatened to call the police..i called my credit card company and they got a chargeback on the $25 they wrongfully charged my card..These are not honest people and from reading other reviews they have had other people complain about owners stealing money via unauthorized credit card charges of $25-$50.. that's terrible and these people are allowed to have credit cards of people on file..i changed my card to be safe..As a whole..BAD EXPERIENCE.. house IS IN POOR condition, the neighborhood is run down and low class. Dirty streets with trash. Shared bathrooms and the front you share a living room with people you don't know...horrible customer service where anyone that ever stayed in a hotel would say just be nice and you shouldn't harass people staying at your place..and this place is not a hotel it's a small private hostel that's overpriced..you can stay on Fremont Street at 4 queens for $44 a mighty during week..this place should not be allowed on any hotel website it's not at all a motel even..Hostel is what it is and if u want to be left alone don't go here..as other people said the owners are creepy and are rude..they charge you to stay as a guest in their house but then tell you how to live like you are their child when you stay there. It's really nothing like I have ever witnessed and they are rude and not nice..for such a low class place you would think they would want repeat business and good reviews..so they would atleast do the small things..first be overly nice..maybe even fresh towels daily .make bed...nope none of it and they charge for internet .they list as resort fee they said..Resort fee for a hostel and it's wifi..what???? Nickel and dime so no one goes back..as no one should..its not kept clean by industry standards...I guess they think people will keep going no matter how rude they are
