If you're looking for an activity away from the hustle and bustle of the strip, sans alcohol, The Neon Museum is the place for you! There are two different experiences; 1) The Neon Boneyard and 2) A curated light & music show. Note- I have a sensitivity to flashing lights and didn't have any issues with the light show. So, what is Neon Museum? It's a tidy junk yard with the signs of Vegas' retired hotels, casinos and businesses. It feels like you've stepped into the past. The "tour" is self guided, with informative plaques at each stop. There are endless photo opps, so have your camera ready! I would suggest going in the evening, as to get the full experience of the signs/ lights. The pathways are made of fine gravel, so it may be best to wear close toed shoes.

Fun and interesting place to visit for something different to do in Las Vegas. It is close to the Fremont experience area but I would not recommend walking there it's not the best area to go through. They have a small parking lot with some covered spaces. I was there for about an hour max and it's not larger than a football field. Go see some of the history and old signs it was fun. They have changed the signs over the years so you might see some new ones.

Bought tickets online at the last minute as we wanted to make sure it wasn't going to rain. It was about 45 degrees out and fortunately not wet or windy. Wasn't too crowded and did self tour and read all the displays in about 45 min. There were a couple guided tours going on but wasn't too crowded. People guarding the signs were very good about taking photos of you if you asked. Located in a sketchy part of town although driver told us they will be moving. Do research before going. Looks best at night when lit up. Only cell phone cameras and tablets allowed for basic fee.

My first time in Vegas and I wanted to do something other than gambling so I decided to buy tickets for the Neon Museum. I bought my tickets in advance so when I arrived they let me in right away with no wait time which was great. I went at dusk because everything I read online recommended that's the best time to take pics and see the lights of the signs. The signs themselves are pretty cool and iconic but as the sun went down I expected the area to be more lit up. There's quite a few signs that don't light up at all and most of them have a little plaque in front of them explaining the origin story. I saw a few people on a guided tour and I would not recommend paying extra for that because the guide was pretty much telling the group what was on the plaques and the guides seemed to have an attitude while talking. It's a small museum and can be completed in 30mins or less. Right before leaving I went to the gift shop to get a souvenir and the cashier was rushing me to hurry and buy something because she needed to go on her lunch break. Once I made my purchase she closed the door behind me and closed the store. Other customers were really upset because now they couldn't purchase anything for 30 mins and there's not enough stuff to do in this museum to kill that much time. Overall the signs are pretty cool, it's a great place for photos day or night but I do recommend going at dusk so you can have both options, but they need work on their customer service especially since these tickets aren't cheap.

I've been to Vegas at least a half dozen times and have never even heard of the museum. That was my loss. This is an absolute DO NOT MISS. Splurge and add on the Neon Comes to Life tour. I'm so glad that we did. The museum is a short walk from Fremont Street but it was suggested that we take an Uber. (We did) Advance purchase is necessary during the busier months. (I bought ours almost a month before our trip). It's a little pricey but the Neon Museum is definitely worth it.

This place is so fun! I lived in Vegas for years before checking it out and I wish I had gone sooner. The guides tell you all about the history of each piece and there are plenty of photo ops. If you're looking for things to do in Vegas that don't involve partying or gambling definitely check this out

Super fun museum to get to visit in Vegas! We had a nice time wandering around and reading about Vegas history. The signs are fun to get to see up close and their about where they came from! We chose to walk around and reading ourselves, but they also offered guided tours that looked very informative.

Great spot although fast! This is probably obvious, but go at night! Obviously the lit up signs will be much better! Also, be sure to talk to the staff. They have lots of cool facts and trivia that made our experience. If you go through on your own, you will leave after 10 minutes and disappointed. But if you talk to the friendly staff you'll learn cool tid-bits and leave intrigued. Parking is tight, that's the only down side.

This isn't your typical Vegas tourist spot. The Boneyard offers a fascinating glimpse into the city's past, with plenty of opportunities for unique and memorable photos.A Knowledgeable Guide:Our tour guide was incredibly knowledgeable and engaging. She divided the tour into four sections: Downtown, Hotels and Motels, Small Businesses, and The Strip.Informative and Entertaining:The tour was both informative and entertaining, filled with fascinating stories and surprising anecdotes about Las Vegas's past. I learned a lot and was delighted to support the arts and history of this vibrant city.A Souvenir Shop and Ongoing Project:The gift shop offers a wonderful selection of souvenirs related to the museum's collection. It's important to note that the renovation of the museum is an ongoing project, so there's always something new to see. I'm particularly interested in returning for the Jackpot Show, which is an additional experience offered with the tour.Highly Recommended:If you're looking for a unique and memorable experience in Las Vegas, I highly recommend a visit to the Neon Museum.

if you are into the nostalgia of old Las Vegas the Neon Museum is a must see. Obviously you need to go at night to appreciate the true art of neon signs. They have a vast array of signs from the very old to the not so old, from the ones in perfect condition to those that aren't so perfect. There are guides along the way to tell you about the signs history or you can do a self-guided tour. Plenty of parking and a cute gift shop.
